Family-friendly holiday rentals in Archanes

We had a great time in this villa, well-equipped, in a very pretty village, we could easily enjoy the shade or the sun in the patio and the different terraces, the jacuzzi was also very nice! Hosts are extremely responsive and ensure the stay is perfect! We recommend it! For information: the villa is in the mountains in a small village without restaurants, perfect for complete immersion but car necessary and about 20 min of possible activities.

Very nice house and private pool, part of a set of 3 villas, a few kilometers from a small village with taverns. It should be noted that a car is essential for getting around. The furniture and amenities are as described. Too bad the jacuzzi bathtub didn't work, but we were able to enjoy the pool which was still very pleasant temperature-wise. Several terraces and a beautiful view of the countryside and the sea in the distance. In October, we were able to enjoy the calm without being bothered by the other villas, it was really wonderful. We are very happy with our stay. A big thank you to Maria-Loanna for her flexibility with our departure.

We were eight women who spent a week at Villa Rodea. Had an amazing time, the view is wonderful and we had an uncomplicated care by the Komos team. We'll be back.

We have just had the most gorgeous family holiday at Villa Belle Helene . It is the perfect villa equipped to the highest standards both inside and out and exceeded all our expectations. Inside is spacious and all the rooms have excellent air conditioning which was very welcome in the heat. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor areas, especially the pool and jacuzzi which were perfect to cool down in the heat and to enjoy. The sheltered area outside the lounge is perfect for eating and BBQs and the raised outdoor seating area with TV provides the opportunity to unwind in an evening. It is 10 mins walk up to Old Hersonnissus which has a lovely square with Tavernas and bars. Hiring a car is worthwhile to explore the island further but not essential as its easy to book taxis. Eleni and her family are absolutely lovely, they could not be more helpful and made us so welcome. We would absolutely recommend this villa and would love to stay again if we go back to Crete.

We had a very nice stay, the house was so lovely, with everything provided even a cleaning service. Restaurants and beach clubs can be reach by foot (approximately 10 min walk). There is a very nice traditional village near the house with excellent restaurants (approximately 15 min walk). But most of all thank you very much Stefani for everything you were so nice and helpful, really many thanks everything was perfect thanks to you 🙏🏼 ☺️

We had an exceptional stay at Tasos. The apartment is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos, with a breathtaking view of the sea that literally takes your breath away. The private jacuzzi is a real plus, offering incomparable moments of relaxation. The apartment is perfectly equipped, everything is thought of for your comfort. In addition, you are less than a 10-minute walk from Agia Beach and the best restaurants in the area, ideal for enjoying the area. Tasos is a very attentive and responsive host, who does everything to make your stay absolutely perfect. You can book without so much so so, you won't be disappointed. P.S. Don't forget to feed the little cat of the residence, he is absolutely adorable. 😉

The house is beautiful (just like the photos) and the pool is awesome — it’s heated just enough to make it enjoyable all day. The space was perfect for my party of 12, plenty of space for everyone. What really makes this place stand out is Celine, who meets guests on arrival. We had a health emergency when we arrived, and Celine was just incredible — driving us to a clinic, helping us get care at the hospital when we had to go there, checking in with us about our child’s health everyday. We are eternally grateful for her!

Very high class Villa, if you are looking for quality accommodation then look no further. My family consisted of 7 adults and an 18 month old, stayed for 8 days. Everyone loved it. There is a great traditional taverna only 10 minutes walk away, a big supermarket 15 mins by car and great beach again just 15 mins by car. We were there in May, spend most of the time around the pool and firing up the fantastic BBQ!

we had a great week at Maria's place. The covered terrace is the most beautiful room in the house with a magnificent view of the sea. The beach is less than 5 minutes' walk away, but beware, for people who have difficulty walking, the slope is rather steep to climb. Maria is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. Agia Pelagia remains a small seaside resort very well located to visit the north of the island. Beautiful discovery

Fotini’s house is wonderful, feels like home, plenty of space inside and outside, a lots of authentic Greek decorations. The yard is beautiful too. Fotini let us pick fruits from the fruit trees. They taste great, much better than those in stores. We really enjoyed our stay.

The pictures don’t do this view justice. It’s breathtaking! The home is gorgeous and the outdoor space is wonderful. It was too cold for us to swim but we still enjoyed time at the beach. Most of the immediate area was already shut down for the season during our stay but there is a lovely area about a mile walk away. We spent a lot of time there enjoying the coffee shops and restaurants. The house and rooms were fantastic and there was more than enough space for everyone to relax. The host was amazing and went above and beyond to help us when we left some glasses at a restaurant. Thank you so much for a great stay!!

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

We loved staying at Petros's place. The location is picture perfect and completely serene, coupled with the stunning views - perfect getaway gem. The villa is beautifully designed with lots of places to explore and hang out in. Petros is very accommodating and all around helpful from assisting us in setting up the outdoor speakers to offering to make restaurant reservations on our behalf. We had an absolutely amazing time and hope to stay at the villa again when we come back to Crete. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay here. The apartment was super clean and was exactly as described. We had a rental car and were able to find some street parking close by. It was quiet at night and had no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend.

This might be the nicest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. It almost felt like a shame to leave it to visit the beaches and restaurants that Manos and Sofi had recommended. There were just two of us but the house would be greatly suited to bigger groups. I would love to return again one day.

Overall, we felt very comfortable, were always well looked after and the apartment met our expectations. You have to know that in the evening hours one or the other plane also flies to Heraklion. A small supermarket is directly on site and a 2-minute walk away. Otherwise, a quick shopping or eating out by public transport is not so easy without a rental car. By car, everything is no problem in five minutes in a wide selection. The view and the apartment is very good. Swimming on site on foot in five minutes very possible below the apartment. This one was much more generous than expected. Overall, we will be happy to come back.

The apartment is cozy but was still big enough for the two of us =) Very nicely furnished and there was everything you could ever need. The location is perfect, lots of options for shopping or dining out. The pool is right next to the apartment. Absolute secret place. The beach is also only a 5-minute walk. We can recommend the BeachBar Heaven, which really offers you everything We will be happy to come back! Thanks for everything

Staying at Sunterra feels like being an honored guest at a Seaside Cretan Villa. My accommodation was lovely and private. Sofia left honey, treats and the best olive oil from her family estate. She checked on me often without being intrusive. I slept to the sounds of the Cretan Sea and the pool is world class. This is one of the best places to stay in the area. We just loved everything about this airbnb!!!!! The house was AMAZING, incredible views, incredible features, we went to the pool, did barbecue, breakast with ocean view, everything and more we expected! Konstations is THE BEST host we ever got!! Not only he was hiper reactive, attentious ( he made sure to got us on the airport so we arrive well, his mom cooked us food because they would imagine we would arrive late and hungry), incredibly generous and nice!! We have many tips and support during the full trip ! Everything and more that we expected! Thank you again

Great stay! Just be aware of the additional “climate tax” that is requested upon arrival. This wasn’t very clear before booking via Airbnb. But I did receive a notification afterwards. Nothing against the hotel though. Everything was great 😎

Classy Villa, hosted by Emmanuel and Yannis is a bountiful house. The ground floor bedrooms and bathroom and beautifully appointed and easy access. The second floor kitchen and sitting area are equally lovely and calm the kitchen spills on to the terrace. The pool ans gardens are lovely and perfect for kids as it’s enclosed and the pool Shallow. A very lovely home perfect for kids as the road is quiet. The village centre has great restaurants at good prices. Well worth the easy stroll.
