Die Unterkunft liegt in einer ruhigen, sehr steilen Seitenstraße (vorherige Gäste haben mit der Beschreibung nicht übertrieben 😉) in Mitten von Bananenplantagen. Das Schönste ist der unverbaute direkte Ausblick auf das Meer und die Küste (mega Sonnenuntergänge!). Die Unterkunft und alle Utensilien waren sehr sauber und die Betten bequem- lediglich die Messer hätten schärfer sein können. Die Anlage war gepflegt und entsprach allgemein den Bildern.Lisa war bei Fragen und Anliegen sehr reaktionsschnell und hat uns zeitnah eine Anleitung inkl. Videos geschickt, wie wir in die Unterkunft gelangen.Zur Hälfte unseres 12 tägigen Aufenthaltes wurde uns eine Zimmerreinigung angeboten. Wer sich traut, parkt auf dem Grundstück - wir hatten einen großen Kombi und haben uns nicht getraut hinunter zu fahren und haben stattdessen oben an der Straße geparkt.Die Unterkunft ist mit dem Auto nicht weit vom Zentrum (Einkaufsmöglichkeiten) Calhetas entfernt. Uns hat es gefallen und wir würden wiederkommen.

Had a fabulous 9 day stay at Casa Silva! The place was clean, organized, and as advertized. Met Irene's mother, Maria, at a nearby church, and followed her to the location of the Airbnb. She provided a tour of the space, along with some wine and fresh organic eggs. Tip - the roads are steep, stick to the main road and you'll be fine! Felt very comfortable and safe at Casa Silva. Irene was very quick to respond to any questions. Thank you for the hospitality! Will definitely choose Casa Silva for the next Madeira trip!

Le logement était super. La vue depuis la terrasse magnifique ! Nuno est un hôte extrêmement gentil. Il répond vite et nous a donné plein de recommandations. Le départ et l’arrivée au logement ont été rendus très simple et agréable grâce à lui. De plus, Ponta do sol est un endroit très pratique: un supermarché avec station essence juste en bas du village, de très bons restaurants et la plage étant un endroit magnifique pour voir le coucher de soleil. Je ne peux que recommander cet endroit pour séjourner à Madère. Cela a été un vrai coup de coeur !

Wij verbleven met 4 personen in het appartement. De ontvangst was warm en gastvrij. Catarina (co-host) heeft ons rondgeleidt. Bij binnenkomst stond er wat lekkers klaar en verse groente en fruit uit eigen tuin. Het appartement is groot en zeer compleet met een fijn dakterras. Wij verbleven hier van 29-4 t/m 7- 5. Omdat het weer fris was, werd er een elektrische kachel geplaatst. Voor de woning kun je op de parkeerplaats parkeren. Wij hebben voor en tijdens de vakantie gecommuniceerd via de app. Catarina reageert snel en denkt graag met je mee. Ze stuurt je na ontvangst een bericht met de huisregels, bezienswaardigheden, locaties van de supermarkten etc. Ze is erg enthousiast en als je haar iets vraagt krijg je snel antwoordt of probeert ze dingen te organiseren of te regelen. Tijdens ons verblijf had ze een bruiloft in Cyprus. Ze was dezelfde periode weg als ons verblijf. Maar zelfs nu konden we haar appen met vragen of tips. Ik raad dit verblijf graag aan, wij vonden het geweldig.

Appartement confortable et très propre avec parking. Bien placé pour visiter Madère surtout la partie Ouest (nous n’avons pas changé de logement pour visiter la partie Est). Merci pour le délicieux gâteau au chocolat, les fruits et les œufs qui nous attendaient à notre arrivée. Bon rapport qualité prix. Un seul petit bémol, peut-être penser à des rideaux occultants pour les chambres.

Logement juste incroyable ! La même chose que sur les photos ! Très calme et paisible. Hôte vraiment très très gentil. C’est situé dans un petit village à environ 30 min de Funchal et proche de tout en voiture. Le lieu est merveilleux pour se reposer. Nous reviendrons

Thank you Kevin for a lovely stay in Madeira! We loved being able to watch the sunset from the balcony and listen to the sound of waves as we fell asleep. The location of this apartment is perfect - a short walk to a few spots along the coast for dinner or drinks and an easy drive to many gorgeous beaches and hikes on the island! Great option if you are wanting to get out of the busier Funchal area. We will be recommending this spot to anyone we know who is traveling to Madeira! Kevin was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed, including setting us up with an easy rental car service!

Nous étions 4, le logement est spacieux et très bien équipé, la piscine à été un plus et très apprécier en soirée où après des randonnées, l'environnement et la vue sont juste incroyable. L'endroit est calme. La communication avec l'hôte était rapide et facile. On recommande +++

We had a wonderful stay here! The views are absolutely stunning – floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the ocean and hills, and we enjoyed the peaceful, quiet setting every day. The place was also spotless when we arrived, which made us feel instantly at home. The location is ideal for exploring the western part of Madeira, which also happens to be the sunniest part of the island – we had consistent sunshine throughout our stay, even when other parts were cloudy. The place offers great value for money and was a perfect base for relaxing and adventuring alike. A couple of small downsides: the TV and kitchen appliances could use an upgrade, and the WiFi was down for a day during our stay – but Sandra was very responsive and got it sorted. Overall, a fantastic experience and we’d definitely recommend it!

This is a beautiful place! The pictures did not do it justice. It was open and spacious, we felt relaxed the minute we stepped in! We traveled with our 3 adult children and we had plenty of space. There were a lot of extra touches-fresh flowers, a cooler to use, swim towels, complimentary cake and wine, and blankets for use out on the patio. The parking was convenient as we rented a car for travel on the island. We took the path to town and wish we would have done this earlier to enjoy the beach. The view was mesmerizing and we even saw some dolphins! dolphins! We woredolphinsdolphins

Stunning views from the property, very peaceful and comfortable place. Marta gave lots of helpful recommendations for local restaurants and activities. The property was clean and in perfect condition. Would recommend !

Our time in Madeira was nothing short of exceptional — not just because of the island’s breathtaking landscapes or the beautifully maintained property, but because of the people who made us feel so genuinely cared for. Gabriel’s hospitality was truly world-class. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us with warmth, shared outstanding local recommendations for hikes, sights, and restaurants, and made it clear he cared deeply about our experience. When my wife developed allergy symptoms, he personally accompanied us to the pharmacy to help communicate and ensure she received the right treatment. That level of kindness and attentiveness is rare — and unforgettable. The natural beauty of Madeira is undeniable, but it was the generosity of its people — especially Gabriel — that left the deepest impression. Property is immaculate, room is cozy and spotless! A heartfelt thanks as well to Janine, whose thoughtful and timely communication made everything seamless from the start.

Very helpful hostess, quiet area away from busy Funchal. Amazing views, spacious apartment, super king size bed. Useful utility area with washing machine and drying area. Good cooking facilities. Enjoyed sitting on the balconies for breakfast and evening meals. Near bus stop and supermarket. We are fit 70yr olds so steep drive and stairs didn’t bother us.

Alles super! Die Kommunikation verlief problemlos. Die Lage ist optimal. Von dort aus kommt man über all gut hin und es gibt über die Straße direkt ein Einkaufszentrum mit Supermarkt. Danke !

We are glad we booked at this spot! The balcony was wonderful to have and everything was clean. What stood out the most was our very responsive host making sure we got all checked in even while her car was broken down on the side of the road! Despite the emergency, she responded to all our messages promptly and helped us check in. I was extra grateful when I woke up extremely sick from some bad fruit the night before and we were allowed a late check out until I recovered! We even left one of our passports at check out and she made sure the staff kept it safe for us. Very helpful owners, would recommend.

Betty is the top host! She welcomed us with open arms. Very fast to respond, friendly and helpful! We were able to check out in the afternoon and enjoyed our last lunch at home before leaving for the airport. The view of the mountains is breathtaking at day and night time. The apartment is absolutely huge. It was our 3rd visit to Madeira with our elderly mum. She got beautiful bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk in shower. Betty also got an armchair for mum so she could relax on the balcony. We had such a comfortable and great stay! highly recommended!

Loved our stay at Leonardo’s place. Beautiful view from the apartment and the infinity pool. Peaceful area, with good security - always felt very safe. Leonardo was very responsive and had good communication throughout. We initially struggled to get in due to the lockbox being stuck, but this was quickly resolved within 10 mins. The apartment was very clean and our needs were met. The bathroom was clean and water pressure was great. The only thing we noted was that the apartment is right next to a nursery which could get noisy during the day, but it is manageable especially as we would usually be outside during those hours. Overall an amazing stay and would recommend to others.

This was a beautiful Airbnb with a great patio. Tons of wonderful restaurants were in walking distance. Paulo was a very friendly host and even delivered fresh bread every morning!

Nice apartment to stay for a long holiday with beautiful views of Praira Formosa. Infinity pool, ample space, well equipped kitchen and washing machine. Free parking in the apartment's garage. The location was perfect being just outside of Funchal with easy access to ER 101. The apartment sits up on the hill with a short walk to the promenade; you can walk either towards Camara de Lobos or Funchal. Lots of restaurants on the promenade and on Estrada Monumental. There is a supermarket (Continente) just 2-3 blocks down the street from the apartment. The local host met us at the apartment to show us around. The apartment was clean and comfortable coming home after a day of hiking (purchase trail tickets 3E on Simplifica for all the PR# trails). A car is a must if you are going to hike and see Maderia. No Jacuzzi and gym is old and poorly equipped.

If I could, I would give to this accomodation and Patricia way more stars :) The flat is perfect. Great location, ocean view, everything was clean, nice and neat. Also those little, but big, details - dimmable light, extra fluffy blanket (not going to spoil more:) Watching stars while in jacuzzi.. Just awesome :) And Patricia is amazing host. Always quick answer, helpful, proactive, friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and I will definitely book this place again, if we ever come back :)

Cristina was a wonderful host, always available with helpful tips and recommendations. The apartment was very clean and tidy, furnished, arranged and equipped in the best of taste. Stunning view, very quiet, even if very near to the expressway, and because of that perfect located to get everywhere easy and quick. Restaurants of all kind available within short driving time. Overall - very advisable!
