The camp toilet is in an outbuilding by the yurt and a gorgeous guest shower room is up at the house.

The Cuckoo's Nest boasts a bunkie that can be used for sleeping, or as a games room, in the warmer months and can accommodate 2 additional people. The place was beautiful and scenic with peaceful environment. If you are a nature person its the best you can have. We were group of 8 and stayed for couple of days. Had great fun and enjoyed a lot!

We had a very lovely and peaceful time at Mike and Rosa's lakeside cabin. The cabin was incredibly well decorated and well equipped. So many thoughtful touches from the hosts, even including snacks for us to enjoy! We were so happy to have popcorn for our movie night on the projector and s'mores for the fire pit. We made great use of the kayak and paddle board on our stay and were very comfortable in the cabin. My dog also had a great time and I really appreciated the dog bowls and towels on hand! The location is just lovely and private. I could not recommend staying at this cabin enough and I have already recommended it to friends. Thank you Mike and Rosa!! We really had the most wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the peaceful environment. The cottage had all the creature comforts you can ask for, we felt right at home and were able to fully relax on our vacation. Abundance of wildlife and nature included seeing a few beavers, an otter and many ducks. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and we will definately be returning. Recommend the local Kennebec Wilderness Trails for those wanting good exercise in nature, be prepared for some very steep sections of trails.

Such an incredible property surrounded by nature. The location is perfect, just a short drive into town. I highly recommend sleeping with the windows open listening to the flowing river & the wildlife in the background. Kate is a very thoughtful host who made sure us & our two dogs were comfortable throughout our stay. This place & its beautiful gardens is a true escape from reality! Cant wait to come back again.

Kim's cottage is a true gem! The cottage itself is well equipped and was perfect for our family. The host provided very detailed instructions prior to our arrival to ensure we had no problems finding the place. I was grateful to receive helpful suggestions on what to bring to ensure we enjoyed our stay (water, charcoal etc). The lake was quiet and we took full advantage of the water, including the supplied kayak, paddle boat and canoe. Big Clear Lake lives up to its' name - it's clear and perfect for swimming! Communication was great. The host was super friendly and quick to respond. Thanks for a great vacation! We hope to come back next summer! :)
