Cottage along Lewis Creek

SherryRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The is the perfect little getaway cottage nestled among mature trees and near a river. A screened-in porch was a nice addition as we were able to listen to a cacophony of birds every morning including veery, red-eyed vireo, ovenbird, warblers, and more! The cottage is cozy, and the kitchen is stocked with basic items needed to cook meals, if desired. It is very quiet at night. Note that the cottage does not have a TV (but there are puzzles, cards, Scrabble, and a shelf of books and magazines to keep you occupied. Cell service is spotty, so you may need WiFi calling enabled. The drive there takes you on tree-lined, unpaved roads, but even with a full day of rain, they were very drivable and the directions provided by the hosts were perfect. We would definitely stay here again, so that we could explore more of the area and the trails on the property. It was very rainy while we were there, so we didn't venture on them.

The Old Miners Tavern Inn

What a great little gem this is! We were pleasantly surprised to find this beautiful apartment in Moriah! Aaron and Staci put much work and love into this amazing newly remodeled place and it shows. They were easy to communicate with and responded to messages very promptly. Their apartment is immaculately clean, beds were very comfortable (firm), appliances are all highend, water pressure great, open space kitchen/living area naturally well lit and the decor is tastefully done (I especially love the highland cattle:) Aaron and Staci provide a lot of extras including paper plates, plastic utensils, a variety of coffe, bath products and more! Though we didn't use the washer or dryer its handy to have them available. The balcony was also nice to have. Would definitely return!

Housekeeping Cabin on Lake Champlain

AlecRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Billie was an amazing host and extremely communicative. We asked if there were a couple things and he picked them up for us the day of. The cabin was pretty small and minimal, the backyard had an awesome lake and fire pit which was very nice. My buddies and I came to hike the Adirondacks and this was a good location from our trailheads. Overall, great stay!

The cabin was beautiful and peaceful . The area is so beautiful with the woods. Only 15 minutes away is a town with many good restaurants and a lake. There are many hiking trails. We went for a peaceful weekend to just be together and relax . It could not have been more perfect. The host left many special touches.

Quiet private master suite / loft with views

MichaelRating, 5 stars3 months ago
What a magical retreat. We were in the area to watch our son’s final college swim meet and the quiet private master suite was just the place to relax between sessions. Nicks place was spotless with incredible views. We felt so warm, cozy and welcome that we didn’t even mind the frigid outside temps or snow. We are hoping to find ourselves back in the area again in the future to experience the area in warmer weather. Our hosts were gracious and responsive and we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Thanks!!
