The village of paradinha is a place that steals your mind. Swimming in the river, peaceful nights and great places to explore near by are the extras of this rental. The house was as described, particularly enjoyed the views from the small old windows. Thank you so much Olga!

This apartment is a real gem surrounded by nature. Surrounded by woods and streams, it offers an experience of unique peace and serenity. The place is comfortable and well cared for, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The elderly lady who manages the place is extraordinary. She is very friendly, helpful and always ready to give great advice. Your hospitality makes your stay even more special. I highly recommend this apartment to those looking for tranquility and nature. José Manuel was a flawless host. The accommodation is perfect for escaping and spending days immersed in nature. The path is mountainous and the vegetation is beautiful. You must go prepared to see cliffs and narrow roads. All the details are taken care of and has everything that could be needed. If you are going with children, please note that there are a lot of stairs. We communicated very well and everything flowed perfectly.

Spectacular house in a wonderful village! The house has all the necessary amenities, well-equipped, decorated with many interesting details. A large garden and outdoor space where we can relax to the sound of nature and the Paiva River, which passes very close by! The village of Paradinha is also very well recovered and cared for.

The hostess is not only friendly, responsive and available, but kind which is rare these days. We were in space in full blackout. Without electricity or communications, a D. Elisabete showed up with a basket of food and a gas bottle. For those who want peace this is the right space. The only point is the road to the house that is even very narrow.

Great stay at Cancela House! The house is as described: charming and atypical, bucolic setting, quiet, neatly decorated, well-equipped. A small peaceful haven in the small mountain, surrounded by eucalyptus forests. It felt good there. Special mention for the very nice dining/barbecue shelter, the charming pool with views and the pretty courtyard (with great sunbeds). We loved the setting and this house! Fatima was warm and responsive. Very easy interaction. If you like authenticity, typical (and atypical at the same time) accommodations, discover this corner of the mountain, discover Arouca Geo Park (passadiços de Paiva + Arouca 516)… Go ahead!

The house is comfortable and has good spaces. The outdoor area is pleasant and has quick access to the center of Arouca and the Paiva Walkways. Judite received us and was very friendly. Marie is very attentive. We recommend it!

Great stay, lovely old traditional place with good heating and great view.

A superb welcome as well as practical tips for visiting the surrounding area. The accommodation was clean and very nice as was the pool which was a very big highlight. As for the host, always available to answer any questions and needs you may have. There's nothing better for a stay isolated from groups of tourists, staying close to Porto.
