Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Small 2 year old home sits on 20 acres but close to Lake Guntersville (8 min to boat ramp). Fenced yard for your pets. 10 minutes to Marshall North hospital, 10 minutes to Guntersville. Very peaceful and quiet. Watch deer and other wildlife from the porch. Easy parking for those with boats. 110v 20 amp electric for charging your batteries as well. One note, the gas fireplace does not currently work.

Travis place is a hidden gem. It is a rustic wood cabin outside like the ones showed on some movies but inside even though it keeps true to details it is also very comfortable and clean!! Wood is not the easiest but this place sure can show off on that. Also and besides the private setting, it is located within short driving distances to pretty much everything: The Cathedral Caverns, hiking trails with waterfalls, Incredible mountain and lake sunsets, great people from Alabama.. so much good in one place!!

Huge home with lots of great features. Our group loved the outdoor living space and boat dock. Be prepared to hike down a small mountain and back up. We didn’t mind the short jaunt but it sure is steep. We got to see bald eagles several times and enjoyed floating and playing in the water. Movie theater and pool table were highlights for the kids. Outdoor fireplace and green eggs were highlights for the adults. Very private. Beautiful landscaping. Great disc golf course close also on island.

Beloved's Rest—Mountain Sunsets with a Hot Tub

So we didn’t get to arrive at the Airbnb until 1am so driving to it through the trees in the dark was a little nerve-racking but they do have an entrance sign so that was helpful to know we were in the right place! A very beautiful and secluded home. The bed is facing 3 full glass windows so you can actually wake up with the sunrise around you if you have the blinds open. The coolest part is the train passes nearby somewhere and the horn sounds absolutely beautiful going past. The hot tub, lights, upper deck patio, and all the amenities were top tier. We absolutely loved our short but beautiful stay!
