Cottage in Gayle
4.99 out of 5 average rating, 325 reviewsBurnside cottage in idyllic Dales location.
AndyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a find Burneside cottage was. It was immaculately clean and had everything you could possibly want and more. Felt right at home from the minute we arrived. Comfortable lounge with log burner which came in handy with the cooler weather although the heating was sufficient it gave that bit extra. Gayle is a great place to base yourself to explore the Dales and surrounding areas. Absolutely beautiful. It was a short walk into Hawes of around 10mins or so where there are a couple grocery stores selling most things. We found The Wensleydale Pantry great value and the home cooked food and extensive menu was superb. The Wensleydale creamery is about a 5min walk and the cheese making experience is worth going to. All in all a brilliant cottage to stay in and I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for everything Alyson including the great scones, jam, bread and milk on arrival. Andy & Jackie. Andy

Shepherd’s hut in North Yorkshire
4.95 out of 5 average rating, 239 reviewsCroft Farm Shepherd's Hut, Hardraw, Pennine Way
IlonaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This Shepherd’s Hut is gem on the Pennine Way. The hut is very sweet and cosy and perfect for a night or two. View from the window is over the sheep fields and we spend the evening sitting outside, watching swifts, swallow allows and house martins circling above us. The host could not have been more friendly and helpful and we felt at home straight from the start. We couldn’t recommend this place any more especially if you are hiking the Pennine Way and want somewhere special to stay.

We had a lovely 4 night stay at William & Chris' place. The instructions to find the place were clear & easy to follow & William came by once we'd settled in to say hi & gave some good advice about local walks & things to do in poor weather. The accommodation is beautifully situated, clean & plenty of amenities. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of equipment & cooking utensils. There was a set of towels each & a washing machine to use if needed. There weren't any toiletries but we'd brought our own anyway.Very friendly chickens that appeared out of no where as soon as you opened the door! The only main issue we had was with the heat-due to the position of the large windows it trapped all the heat inside & we couldn't open the doors to let any air through due to the chickens & flies coming in,so it was a bit uncomfortable. There is a long narrow road & track up to the house, the last bit of which had quite a few large pot holes so care's needed when driving. Thank you for a fab break!

Cottage in Litton

ClaireRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We have just returned from a few nights away staying at this little piece of paradise. If you’re after a tranquil, relaxing holiday then this is the place to stay. From the house itself, to the spectacular views , the amazing pool house and the lovely, friendly neighbours, this place ticks all the boxes and more. Highly recommend visiting The Queens Arms for a meal (or just a cheeky drink), the staff are so friendly and just made our time away extra special. Malham is only a 20 min (ish) drive away and is stunning (a must see). The only thing I would advise is to make sure you take plenty of supplies (or do an online shop for delivery as we did) as the local shop is a 20min drive away. Thankyou again David, we will definitely be back.

We stayed here for two nights while walking the Pennine Way. It was perfect for our rest day, ideally situated in the middle of Hawes. The combined lounge and bedroom was very comfortable and the small kitchen had everything we needed, as well as a nice view of the fells to the north. We would definitely stay again.

Shepherd’s hut in Low Row
4.99 out of 5 average rating, 128 reviewsLuxury Romantic - Swaledale Shepherds Hut
MattRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Louise has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the Shepards hut. It’s such a cosy little space and had everything you need. The shower is excellent and there are plenty of pots and pans to cook. The location is exactly as described. I found the parking a little difficult due to the concrete bollards so if you have a big or expensive car it might be worth parking further up the road. The other thing to note is that the hut is located in a sheep field. It was fine for me as I grew up in the countryside but for those that didn’t, it’s worth noting you have to walk through it to get to the hut. Sheep can be quite noisy and smelly. They also attract a lot of flies. Overall, the hut is a perfect getaway and I would definitely come back again in future. Thanks again for hosting me.
