Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Astoria, Queens

An absolutely wonderful stay at Jennifer's Airbnb in Queens. Peaceful side street just steps from just about anything one would want or need-restaurants, bakeries, etc. Three blocks from the subway stop which we used everyday to attend both a Mets and Yankees game as well as spend a day in Manhattan. This trip was for our grandson's 10th birthday celebration. He came away with multiple memories which will last a lifetime for him. He even said he loved the Airbnb!

Had a great stay an Brandon's place in LIC. The Bnb was a great value considering the space/location/and Branon as a host. The Bnb is on the second floor right next to the subway but the sound insulation is quite good and the rooms are at the farther end of the unit. If you are especially sensitive to noise this might be an issue. The AC in the apartment worked great as did the TV system and hot water. The Bnb is just steps away from the subway entrance with easy access to Brooklyn or Manhattan. Would be happy to stay again!

Carlos’s home was very comfortable and cozy. Even though I arrived late at night, he warmly welcomed me and kindly explained everything in a friendly and helpful manner. The location was also perfect — great access to Manhattan. I often took the 7 train to go to baseball games, and the station was very close to the house, which was super convenient. Access to LaGuardia Airport was also the easiest I’ve experienced in New York. The free bus service made it so smooth and stress-free. The neighborhood had many delicious and affordable restaurants. Carlos recommended a few, and the ones I visited were truly great! If I come back to New York, I would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you so much, Carlos!

We really enjoyed our stay - the unit was absolutely perfect for what we needed and acted as the perfect base for all things New York being a one minute walk from the station! Krystal was extremely friendly, responsive and helpful - would highly recommend !

The process to check in was self check in and was clear and easy to do. The place was impeccably clean and very well decorated. The items in the Airbnb were well thought out and useful, (cooking utensils, salt & pepper, coffee, etc). The location was a nice neighborhood. There was a weather issue that occurred and Shekeva was incredibly professional and immediately responsive to the situation and my concerns. I would stay here again!

What a lovely home to have as a base while exploring New York City. Silvia’s place was great, close to the Subway so making it super easy to travel around the city, lovely nearby spots and close to the river. Silvia is a great host, it was a pleasure meeting her and Raiden. Definitely recommend!

Great place for a quick night stay as I was commuting for work.

This place is a gem! As noted in other reviews it is spacious, very clean and quiet. Communication was great and easy check-in. Hugo and Laurie are very accommodating thoughtful hosts who go above and beyond to help guests feel at home. Wonderful Astoria location...close to LGA and within short walking distance to subway and many restaurants/shops. This will now be our go-to spot when we visit NYC!

Great place but probably not the best if your 5’10 or taller

Everything about this apartment was excellent. Locale, layout, spotless. Couldn't get enough of both the daytime and nighttime views. Steven was an excellent host. Communicative, answered my myriad of questions, provided recommendations for a great nearby grocery and wine store that we frequented several times. Easy to get a taxi and a short walk to the subway. Started to feel like a local after just a day or so! This will for sure be our go-to place next time we visit NYC.

This place is hands down, one of the best Airbnbs that I’ve ever stayed in. The apartment was easy to find and looked just like the pictures. The unit is ground level however it is very quiet and you feel very safe. Everything was spotless and you can tell that Elgha takes great care of her property. Elgha is extremely responsive and very friendly. I highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to come back.

Great location. Quiet and only a couple short blocks from the 125th St subway station and bus service to La Guardia. Right across the street from a big grocery store and a 5 minute walk to another big grocery store. Lots of nearby restaurants. The building interior and the room were in great condition - nicely decorated and spotless. Michelle was a very friendly, helpful, responsive host. She quickly replied to my message asking for an emergency room recommendation (luckily, we ended up not needing to go).

This amazing apartment screams VIEW and LOCATION! The apartment has sweeping views of Central Park with beautiful sunrises for you to enjoy. It is located within JW Marriott Essex House with a common entry and exit from the hotel. Breakfast and meals are available at the Marriott on paid-basis. It is located at the south entrance of Central Park, its a 1 minute walk to 5th Avenue and a 5 min walk to Times Square. Everything that you may possibly need in New York is located around you. The apartment is on the 32nd floor and is well equipped with essentials. The host along with his property manager, Luke, communicated very well and made our stay comfortable. We will definitely return to this apartment for our next day in NYC !!

Was a perfect, comfortable stay with an amazingly friendly host, the house was clean and smelt very good upon arrival. Very close to many bus stops and airport as well, would DEFINITELY rebook in the future!

Adham & Yossr's place is the perfect place to stay if you are flying into LaGuardia and don't want to rent a car. We were able to walk to Citi Field, Black Sheep Coffee & Amigo's Deli (both on Astoria Blvd - Amigo's has a GREAT chopped cheese hero), as well as catch a bus or walk to the subway station if you're looking to explore Manhattan, Brooklyn, LIC, etc. The apartment was clean, spacious and exactly as listed with clear check in/check out instructions. It's in a quiet and safe neighborhood and even though it's by an expressway, you can't hear it. Comfortable bed and the shower was awesome. If we're ever back in Queens, we'll definitely book here again!

Great place to stay while visiting family. As I grew up in the area I know my way around, but easy to get around for anyone! The bay is a beautiful site when you walk up the block. There are many places to visit in walking distance as well as plenty of transportation choices withing walking distance. Plenty of places to eat as well, with many different choices of food. Nice private quite apartment, I will be staying again in the Fall.

Benjamin was a great host and very responsive. We have 3 dogs that travel with us and sometimes finding an Airbnb can be difficult. With a dedicated parking spot and grassy fenced in back yard this Airbnb was perfect for us. The space looked just like the photos, clean and everything we needed. The location was great, a quick walk to the light rail and we were able to get over to the city quickly. Will definitely be looking to book here again when we travel this way in the future.

I felt home at once in this beautifully furnished place. Antony was friendly and welcoming, and I could not have been more comfortable. The neighborhood felt very safe and was not noisy, and I found everything I needed within a short walk. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and although 6 stars is not a rating, I was more comfortable here than at many other places I have rated with a 5. I recommend it without reservation.

Our family of 4 stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to the path in 5 min to connect to the NYC subways. On the walk, you pass multiple cafes and coffee shops. Great craft beer and wine shop on the corner. Pizza shop, Basile’s, right next to the PATH is perfect for a late night snack. The beds were comfortable, and even though there was some street noise heard at night, a sound machine was provided to help lull you to sleep. The only thing you have to be aware of is the unit is located on the 2nd floor, and you have to go up a narrow set of stairs which can be hard with multiple suitcases. Other than that, a comfortable and convenient place to stay with everything within walking distance!

Being welcomed by the entire family to getting end to end support during the stay, it was a great experience staying at this bnb .. amazing view , kitchen fully stacked , very prompt response , extremely helpful attitude… would recommend stay here if you want to be just around NYC but don’t want the hustle bustle of the city

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is just like the photos, and in a lovely neighborhood with grocery, coffee, restaurants, subway, etc. nearby. The bed is super comfortable...amazing water pressure...all located in a quiet building. I would definitely stay here again!
