We stayed for two months while I was on a temporary work assignment in the area. Check-in was simple, any questions were quickly answered. We had no problems with anything during our stay; everything was exactly as anticipated from the description. We immediately loved the view of the lake from the front windows! The kitchen was perfect, and we felt right at home. I was working long shifts, and a quiet, peaceful location was important for me to get enough sleep--this place provided it exactly. We were able to watch the lake go from ice covered when we arrived to open water when we left. We saw robins and loons arrive, and heard them calling as they settled into their summer homes. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who enjoys a quiet lake setting.

We enjoyed our stay at Charlie’s perch very much. The cottage was comfortable with room to spread out. The deck overlooking Wesserunsett lake was so relaxing to hang out on, watching the birds- which were much more plentiful than boats. The quietude was so welcome. We look forward to returning some day.

Lazar’s place is perfect place to reunite with close friends and have amazing outdoor adventures. The beds were comfy and living room makes it great for a social atmosphere. White water rafting was a couple minutes away and there’s a market close by. Had a great stay!

The Ultimate Waterfront Cabin Experience in Maine

I had a great time staying at Tom and Cindy's Airbnb with my family. It was peaceful and the pond was beautiful. The home was very clean and very well stocked. It made cooking easier which we did a bit of during our stay. I highly recommend Shelby's Cafe which is not too far from the cabin. The drinks (alcoholic) were also a hit. The service was exceptional and the food was good. The owner gave us free cupcakes for the adults and children! We visited Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, which are our favorite spots (about 2 hours from the cabin). The weather was about 50-60 degrees during the day and the crisp air felt amazing. The Botanical Gardens in Boothbay was also very nice (about 2 hr from the cabin).I think going there at night would be even more amazing to see the lights. It was a family friendly attraction. They have a garden just for the kids with a sandbox, water play, scavenger hunt, and a variety of play houses, and games. Very nice stay!

If you're looking for a great place to stay that's peaceful, this is it! With hiking trails are easy access from here, the house itself has a charm that will relax you after a long day in the outdoors. The dogs next door are so sweet and well behaved when they visit. Amber is one of the best hosts we've had with excellent communication and readily available to help with anything you need. If we get back out that way, I will definitely be reaching out to stay in one of her places again!
