Medieval Fort, Sud Ardèche stunning loft with pool

Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

Guests can relax by the pyramid fireplace (lit from October to the end of April) as well as in the suite's private spa (jacuzzi). Breakfast will be offered with a sweet or savory option according to your preferences.

Chambre ronde posée dans les chênes verts au dessus du ruisseau avec une terrasse suspendue. Baignoire, WC, Lavabo, Lit double. La cabane se trouve au dessus du mas Lou Abeilhs avec une vue plongeante sur la vallée. Pour y accéder du parking il y a un petit chemin de 150m et une quarantaine de marches. A partager avec un autre couple, sur la grande terrasse du bas une cuisine extérieur, toute équipée, est à votre disposition.

Our 128 m2 cottage is located in a former convent, right next to the church of Borne. Borne is located 12 km from Puy en Velay, 6 km from Saint Vidal Castle. In September, don't miss the King of the Birds festival. Le Puy is one of the starting points for the Camino de Santiago, it is a beautiful city, rich in history. Haute-Loire is famous for its gastronomy and beautiful hikes. Come and see us!

The "Le Sulit" gîte is a 3-star 135 m² duplex located in the rear part of our old farmhouse. Our farm is located in the hamlet of Les Richards with a dominant position and a superb panorama of the valley. From the house, enjoy walks, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing and relaxing moments in the garden on the deckchairs or garden furniture.
