Monthly Rentals in Ave River

Our stay with David and Zinda was just wonderful! The hosts are super nice, friendly and helpful people. We felt right at home during our stay. It’s truly a unique place with a large beautiful garden and lots of sunlight. You get a feeling of peace and tranquility from day one. This is a dream stay for people who love animals, as the hosts have peacocks, chicken, geese, cats, dogs and even horses. They even allowed us to walk their dogs in a nearby forest which was wonderful. The kitchen is shared with the hosts, but you have a private wing of the house with your bedroom, bathroom and a beautiful living room with a garden view. If you plan to work remotely, I would recommend getting a LAN cable (5m) that you can connect to the router for higher internet speed. It’s possible to get an uber from the airport and also to get around during your stay but I would recommend getting a car to be more flexible. Within 15m by car you can get to the beautiful beach, grocery stores and a mall.

We stayed at Helder’s place for 3 weeks while visiting family with our two small children. The highlights of the house for us were: very clean at arrival; indoor parking close to the entrance; the kitchen was very well equipped for cooking and the dining room was spacious, we were able to host our family several times; cordless vacuum; central heat was crucial for us as we were traveling from a colder climate and used to a warm home and it worked well; the bedrooms were a good size with a lot of closet space; lots of sheets and towels available; washer and dryer was also a must, which is not easy to find when renting in Portugal. The neighborhood was quiet, we always slept well. Easy access to the main road N14. Hélder is a great host, he was always promptly available to address a few issues that came up and he was very flexible with check in and check out times which we really appreciated specially traveling from so far with children. Great price not even a halfhour drive from Porto, intimate with an internal courtyard and private parking perfect, to access the kitchen you only have to go through the courtyard but it is very close

It is often difficult to give an assessment but this is top (5 estrelas). The apartment is located on a square in the historic center (beautiful) near the port and close to the beaches (top). You feel at home and in addition Berta is always available, responsive and caring (👍). There is still a lot to say and frankly do not hesitate because you will not be disappointed. I would recommend it 100%.
