Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Axarquía

Armelle’s place was just as described and had everything you needed. The many stairs and levels merely added to its charm. Spent several evenings on the terrace with a glass of wine and watched the sun fade away. While the village can be busy during the day it soon quietens down towards evening as the day trippers and tours depart, then you feel like a local. There are enough shops to provide all your groceries, the good people of Frigiliana always willing to assist if needed. We look forward to returning one day.

A superb villa, very spacious and clean. Just a note that it is at the top of a small mountain but wow when you get to the top the views are truly spectacular. A great spot for exploring the area and Ubers are easy to get for trips into Malaga, would highly recommend.

Really outstanding, I've done a lot of Airbnbs and this was one of the all time winners! Very rustic, outstandingly beautiful, a unique atmosphere, and Paul is truly welcoming. Like living in a Moorish village 700 years in the past, but with a swimming pool...

The place was amazing! Great location, close to everything and super clean! Javier was an outstanding host, super friendly, helpful and went above and beyond all our expectations! Most definitely one of the best places we stayed in...Hope to go back one day!

Dit was de mooiste Airbnb waar we al hebben verbleven! Het uitzicht is ongelofelijk, het is echt prachtig! Het huisje heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, zeker de keukenapparatuur is heel uitgebreid. De communicatie verloopt heel vlot en aangenaam. Wij reisden met een baby en ook dat ging perfect. We kregen een babybedje en een stoel, heel handig. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug, het is er zalig. Ook de wandelingen in de omgeving en het dorpje Acebuchal vonden we zeker de moeite. Danku voor de fijne vakantie!

The house was amazing - spotless, comfortable beds, very clean throughout, very useful washer and dryer, and the AC was great - nice and cool. Our host Monica was very quick to respond to any questions and was able to lower the AC temp at my request remotely on her phone app (the minimum was set at 23 but I wanted it colder). The view of the Alhambra from the rooftop terrace was a million bucks. We could see the terrace from the Alhambra as well. The house is just steps away from restaurants, groceries and lots of touristy shops. We arrived from a super fancy hotel in Sevilla but felt right at home here. It was great to have so much space for our family of 4 to be together, and also be able to retreat to our separate bedrooms for some peace as well. And the washer and dryer were in a separate room - lots of other places have just a washer, often in the kitchen. That let us pack a lot less which can’t be underestimated. Everything about this house and host was perfect.

What a wonderful time we had at Casueña. Alicia and Jorge were so welcoming, helpful, friendly, and fun. They met us at the villa and showed us everything we needed to know, and then were always on hand for anything else we needed. The villa was so well equiped, including basic food, tea, coffee, and fruit to get us going. Also, on the first morning, Alicia and Jorge gave us a basket of eggs from their own chickens! We loved the beautiful furniture, artwork and ornaments which all added to Casueña's charm. Since the weather was hot we spent most of our time in the stunning garden and lovely pool. Beautiful mature plants, shrubs and trees made the garden feel magical, as did the many birds who visited including a familly of swallows. A short trip (about 2 miles) down to the village of Santa Rosalía provided a good supermarket (open every day), cafes, and restaurants. Thank you Alicia and Jorge - you are very special people and we will definitely be back to visit you and Casueña.

Nancy is a wonderful host. Extremely responsive, friendly, and helpful. We had a fantastic time in her modernised but traditional village house. The only disappointment is if you enjoy swimming: the village pool wasn't open like expected from June. It looked disused when we visited it, but maybe they'll get around to cleaning it in the next few weeks. All in all, lovely village with friendly locals, a beautiful town house, and a great host. Thank you Nancy!

This is a great apartment in close proximity to many cafes, restaurants, bars, and main attractions. It is clean, spacious, bright and airy. Air conditioning keeps the entire apartment very cool. Lots of towels and beach towels there. Beds are very comfy. No noise at night. Juan left recommendations for many places which was very useful. He responds to questions very quickly and is very helpful and nice. The parking spot was very convenient as we rented a car for a night to go down to coast. We also rented electric bikes overnight which is a great way to get around and could lock them up safely in the garage. For our older teens going out at night it was perfect as it is only approximately a 10 minute walk to get home and it feels very safe. I would highly recommend this place.

Tengo que agradecer a Denise y a Gary la maravillosa estancia que hemos tenido en su casa. Es bonita, extremadamente limpia y cómoda. No hemos echado en falta absolutamente nada y ellos son una pareja estupenda. Son increíblemente amables y muy detallistas. Ya estamos deseando volver.

The Duck house was an amazing stay. Everything was perfect, our host Andrew was very friendly and a lovely person to talk to. He was always available to help us out if we had any questions and also always asked us if we needed anything. The pool is completely private and secluded and is not visible to anyone around. We felt very comfortable in the Duck house and felt right at home. The history behind the house was also very interesting to hear about from Andrew. He also gave us really good recommendations for gorgeous places around the area. Only thing to keep in mind is you have to be cautious while driving up to the apartment through the dirt road, but this was not really an issue for us. We will definitely be visiting again! We can only recommend this place :)

Es war alles super, genauso wie beschrieben. Die Wohnung enthält alles, was man braucht und es gab immer einen Parkplatz vor der Tür. ☺️

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Frigiliana in vollen Zügen genossen. Die Unterkunft war wunderschön, sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet – genau wie auf den Fotos. Besonders begeistert waren wir von der tollen Terrasse mit atemberaubendem Ausblick. Die Umgebung ist einfach zauberhaft – Frigiliana ist ein malerisches, ruhiges Dorf mit viel Charme, und gleichzeitig ist man schnell an der Küste oder in der Natur. Alles war bestens organisiert, der Check-in verlief reibungslos und die Kommunikation war freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen – absolute Empfehlung

الإقامة كانت ممتازة، الغرفة مطلة على البحر مباشرة والمنظر كان رائع. المضيف كان متعاون جداً، رتب لي المواصلات من وإلى المطار وكان سريع الاستجابة لأي استفسار. أنصح بالإقامة هنا وبشدة.

This Airbnb in Mijas was spectacular! The views from the balcony are mesmerizing, especially when you can see the African coast on a clear day and the moonlight reflection on the sea. The place itself was very well decorated and felt very cozy and homey. Had all the essentials and more to add some character and charm. The bathrooms can get a bit small in space but they were still functional and did the job. The hosts were very helpful and great at communicating from check in to post-check out as well. We wish we had more time in this place!

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour chez Lola et Nachos qui ont également toute une délégation de personnes dans la région qui se sont assurés que nous avions tout selon nous avions besoin et qui étaient réactif à toutes nos interrogations. La maison est splendide, un décor sobre et épuré, plusieurs pièces qui offrent beaucoup d’espace d’intimité si vous êtes un grand groupe. La cuisine est super bien équipé: c’est plutôt rare et un atout majeur selon moi. Plusieurs arbres fruitiers sur le terrain, nous n’avons pas manqué d’agrumes lors de notre séjour ❤️🙏 Il y a également beaucoup de jeux de société à votre disposition ce qui est parfait pour les soirées en famille ou entre amis. La vue est à couper le souffle. La maison est à proximité de deux restaurants hyper charmant où nous avons mangé quelques fois. Les horaires ne sont pas toujours exact sur Google toutefois, mais peut-être que cela est parce que nous y étions en basse saison.

Wat een fantastische plek! Het verblijf was precies wat we zochten: rust, ruimte en een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. De omgeving is heerlijk stil, perfect om echt tot rust te komen. Het huis zelf was brandschoon en ruim opgezet – ideaal voor ons gezin. De buitenruimte was echt een hoogtepunt: veel plek om te spelen, lekker buiten te eten en ’s avonds gezellig te barbecueën onder de sterrenhemel. Alles was goed verzorgd en met aandacht ingericht. Fernando, de eigenaar, was ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij. Hij was altijd bereikbaar als we iets nodig hadden. We voelden ons meteen welkom. We komen graag nog een keer terug!

This was by far the most beautiful place I’ve stayed at in Spain. Nestled in the Andalusian mountains, the house is truly something special. You can really tell that a lot of thought has gone into every detail from the interior to the ambient lighting. The town of Arenas is just two kilometers away, and one day we even walked there to explore surroundings. As one might expect in the mountains, the roads leading up are winding and steep, but we had a good car and had no trouble with the drive. The scenery alone makes the journey worthwhile. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of Andalusia in a truly exceptional villa.

Unser zweiwöchiger Aufenthalt in Andalusien war sehr angenehm, und unsere Unterkunft sowie die Betreuung durch José haben dazu wesentlich beigetragen. Josés und Daniels Kommunikation war von Anfang an ausgezeichnet und sehr zuverlässig. Er war stets erreichbar und hat sich bemüht, alle unsere Fragen schnell und hilfreich zu beantworten. Man merkte, dass ihm das Wohl seiner Gäste am Herzen liegt. Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben und bot einen guten Ausgangspunkt für unsere Erkundungen in Andalusien. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Josés Engagement und seine Bemühungen, unseren Aufenthalt so reibungslos wie möglich zu gestalten, waren wirklich lobenswert. Wir können diese Unterkunft und José als Gastgeber durchaus empfehlen und würden bei einer erneuten Reise nach Andalusien gerne wieder hier wohnen. Vielen Dank, José!

Fuimos muy bien recibidos, Esther nos estaba esperando en el centro de Frigiliana para acompañarnos hasta la casa. La casa súper limpia, ordenada y con todo lo necesario y más. Nos dejaron un vino y avocados en la heladera (riquísimos). Secador y planchita de pelo, botiquín con primero auxilios, todo!!! Lo único para comentar que si no eres un conductor experimentado no te lo recomiendo, ya que el camino hasta llegar a la casa por momentos es estrecho, peligroso con cornisa de lado. Todo lo demás un 10!!! Definitivamente volveríamos!!!

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in der Finca. Die Unterkunft ist super ausgestattet, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und war sehr sauber. Die Terrasse mit dem Pool und dem wunderschönen Ausblick war herrlich. Jose war als Gastgeber immer erreichbar und unkompliziert. ☀️😎 Wir würden wieder kommen.
