Farmstay holiday rentals in Bairrada DOC

We spent 3 days at the riverside farm. We had an excellent stay, the surrounding space was incredible and especially the pool area was wonderful

An excellent property if you want peace and tranquility in a countryside setting but also so close(20 minutes drive) from 2 major towns with everything you would need for shopping/groceries. It is also a 40 minute drive from some gorgeous beaches. Lisbon is about 1 hour 30 minutes drive away if you wanted to explore the city. We picked the property for the countryside setting and it didn't disappoint. The house had everything you would need. All mod cons. We cooked meals most nights . Beds were very comfy. Outdoor space was lovely especially the pool. Parking for car at the house. For convenience there is a small very well stocked supermarket 4 minutes away. We had a lady call twice during the holiday selling freshly caught fish from her vehicle. Overall we had an amazing time on our break in Flavio's property and would throughly recommend it for a stay in Portugal...

Beautiful place, stunning views, very yummy breakfast every morning. Carlos is very friendly and helpful. the little cabins are comfortable and perfect for families.

Nuno was a very helpful and communicative host. You can tell he cares a lot about the local community and area. The village itself was lovely.

Maybe not for everyone but us we experienced the house and surroundings as a little paradise. The house has character and the whole lot around it is beautiful. It is quiet and has lots of space. The pool is real pool, and not an enlarged sort of bath tub. A beautiful view is included. The house is well equipped, everything worked well. The shoreline is a 40+ minute drive and worthwhile visiting. One can walk kilometers on the wooden board walk or bike along. Even to Porto along the shore which is really not far away. It passes Afurada………… you may want to plan a stop there for excellent sea food at a very reasonable price Hiking trails are in the area. Do some smart shopping for groceries and the like at a supermarket, we did not find anything close by. Maybe a minus for some, if you like to go out and enjoy night life nearby, that is a no-go.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The house is in a quiet area very near to all the Knights Templars castles which we wanted to visit. Having the small swimming pool was a great addition. There are lots of good restaurants nearby.

It's been a wonderful few days, it's the perfect place to disconnect and rest. The stay was very pleasant, and we were also able to enjoy the pool every day. The surroundings are very nice and the roads are very good. Eva was very attentive to make sure everything was in order and correct. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

I recommend visiting this space, an incredible location for star lovers like me. Sofia and André are excellent people, always with a smile to offer and make us feel at home. We'll definitely be back.

Such a beautiful and tranquil and space! The house was clean, the pool was a perfect place to lounge and everyone we met on-site during the day was wonderful.

Much better than expected. The world of love and chaos raised by happiness. My children went mad about picking raspberries, (real) egg hunting. Being with the alpacas, learning about Hierarchy and RESPECT. There is a birds nest, don't disturb. There are dogs and cats to pet and cherish. And the Alpacas are so sweet and good. The best experience for my family. We left a piece of our heart behind...

In one word: marvelous. A small touristic village embedded in nature with lots of space for everyone (incl. our dog). Also all kinds of amenities available, like pool, hot tub, small spa, (surprisingly well equipped) gym, water activities and everything related to nature. Peter and Kate are really nice hosts with passion for their place. Perfect for a relaxing vacation in nature for the whole family. A+

We had a lovely stay at Dini's Quintiha, a nice and quiet place with a beautiful view over the rural and natural environment from the terrace. The apartment was very well maintained, nicely decorated and adequately equiped. A place to come back to!

Very nice stay, between the stars and nature. The farm's loose animals confirm the expectation of freedom that we always have for the holidays and the comfort of the house reminds us of what is essential and what is accessory in life. This house is amazing ! We were a big family group of 4 couples + children and everyone had their space. The kitchen was huge and super equipped. BBQ and pizza oven in a nice enclosed patio, great when you have small children so that they can come in and out freely. Lots of games and toys for all ages made it feel just like home. The driveway had enough space for 4 cars. The pool and outside space was absolutely beautiful and lots of seating around for everyone. But the "clou" of the property was the basement with "disco"/music area, the games area with air hockey, billards,... and so many more. And let's not forget the cinema room with access to all the paid channels which was great for the kids and the adults. Isabel was lovely and always very quick to respond to any questions or give suggestions of places to go. Thank you again to Isabel, her husband and their amazing house! It was an absolutely fab few days !

We loved the house of João and Fernanda. Everything was as expected. the house is huge and the pool not heated or daily cleaned like at a hotel, but you feel right at home at their place (and that's why you book it). our son destroyed the coffee pot and they immediately got a new one. very easy to communicate (in Spanish or French, if you don't speak Portuguese). we would gladly come back when we visit the area.

Impeccable facilities, fantastic outdoor space, calm and quiet. The donkeys is the b***h keep company. Perfect for relaxing and for families with young children. I recommend it!

It was our second time staying at the Watermill. It gets better each time!
