Earth house holiday rentals in Balkans

My family and I stayed at Andrea’s house for four nights. This is one of those hidden gems that makes you truly happy when you find it. Located in a beautiful, quiet little fishing village, the house sits right by the stunning, clear sea. The peace, the view, waking up every morning with a cappuccino at the local coffee spot, the lady from the supermarket, the wedding couples getting photographed at the harbor every day, the evening beer at the same coffee place, the fish market where you can get fresh fish daily — it’s all pure joy. I’d love to come back for a week of doing absolutely nothing and just enjoying it all. The house is a lovely and cozy place. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen could use a little extra love (cleaning), but that is easily outweighed by the authentic and pure feeling you get in beautiful Pozzillo. Thank you, Andrea, for your hospitality!

Séjour très agréable chez Irène. Maison très bien située au milieu des oliviers et à proximité de beaucoup d endroits. Irène est une personne très accueillante, gentille, attentionnée.....nous avons eu droit à des petites spécialités en arrivant et en rentrant le soir.... je recommande grandement . Merci Irène

Wunderschöne Unterkunft in den Bergen von Campofelice di Roccella. Ruhige Lage, sehr privat und liebevoll eingerichtet. In der Casa della Ceramica hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Lovely Villa, beautiful outdoor space with pool and sun terrace. Lovely access to the sea via Beach with padel board and kayak. Very nice spot.

Chiara’s airbnb is the perfect place to stay at when exploring Matera! A beautiful and quiet « cave home », in the heart of Matera. Chiara was very responsive and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. We highly recommend her place. We also recommend hiking the Parco Regionale della Murgia Materana at sunset. Incredibly beautiful! Thank you Chiara for welcoming us in your very special home!

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Als wir ankamen war der Kühlschrank hoch gefüllt, was uns sehr entgegen kam. Wir haben mehrere Tage davon essen können. Aufgrund der Nebensaison waren die Tavernen leider geschlossen und wir mussten immer das Auto bewegen, um eine zu finden. Das war uns im Vorhinein so nicht ganz klar. Die Unterkunft ist ideal gelegen um den Osten und die umliegenden Städte zu erkunden. Auf der Dachterrasse konnte man problemlos einen Nachmittag in der Sonne verbringen und abends gab es fantastisches Licht beim Sonnenuntergang. Es hat uns an nichts gemangelt. Überall hat man dann noch kleine Gadgets gefunden oder Gesellschaftsspiele. Lediglich das kleine Bad und die sehr weichen Betten in der oberen Etage waren nicht ganz nach unseren Vorstellungen, aber der Rest der Unterkunft war so schön, dass man das leicht übersehen konnte. Wir haben Tipps für die Gegend bekommen und die Vermieterin war immer erreichbar. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft weiter!

The house is lovely, with all the necessary equipment for cooking and laundry. The area is beautiful and very peaceful, especially as we were there out of season. If you want to stay away from very touristy areas, this is your place! Aimonas could not have been more helpful, taking us to the place (which might not be super easy to find otherwise), and giving us lots of recommendations for local restaurants and advice about the area. Our stay was perfect, exactly what we were looking for. Ps: definitely need to rent a car if you want to visit the island (Aimonas can help with that too)

Une maison magnifique avec beaucoup de goût. Tout est bien pensé et la rénovation est d’une très grande qualité. Tous les espaces sont très agréables et fonctionnels. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Un grand merci pour ce séjour magique.

Nous avons séjourné pendant quelques jours à melanopetra. C’était absolument divin. L’appartement est soigneusement décoré et très confortable. Tout était simplement parfait. Le village est simplement magnifique typiquement grecque avec de tres Bons restaurants. Je recommande à 100% merci encore Anna pour votre hospitalité et votre goût raffiné.

Staying at Sanja and Lucas was amazing. Sanja checked us in and was an incredible host - she was proactive, provided local recommendations to help us explore Hvar and were very flexible. The home itself was truly beautiful and had stunning views. The garden as well provided so much privacy. Would love to come back and stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Jereni barn in Krk! Ozana and her team were super helpful, we had a late check-in and they made everything easy. We are a family of four travelling with two toddlers and the house was perfect for us! It’s also close to beautiful beaches. Thanks for a great stay!

I had a wonderful stay at Mare’s charming townhome in the heart of Dubrovnik’s Old Town. The location couldn’t have been better—tucked away in a quaint, quiet corner but just steps from all the historic sites, restaurants, and vibrant local life. The home itself was cozy, clean, and full of character—perfect for soaking in the atmosphere of this beautiful city. Mare was a truly exceptional host—attentive, responsive, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, including arranging for porter service, which is a must-avail service. You can tell she really cares about making sure her guests have a great experience. I’d absolutely recommend staying here to anyone visiting Dubrovnik. Thanks again, Mare!

A beautiful location right by the sea with a lovely beach close by as well as swimming from the rocks below . Michaels is a fantastic host - always available with great recommendations and time for just a chat. Make sure you order the breakfast . It was delicious. All in all a wonderful spot with a wonderful host.

This is an amazing place to spend a week in, if you like mountain scenery, walking around a beautiful scenic village with stone build houses, and eating in many great restaurants local delicacies. Also, skiing was great as we were lucky with the snowfall, and the centre is 25 minutes away. The place itself is very cute, has all the amenities including a really good sauna we used every day, a beautiful stone fire place and all the amenities we needed as a group of six, including a lot of board games. Margarita is a super responsive host, who provided fantastic local information and sorted out any issues and questions we had. Highly recommended, we are thinking of coming back next year!

Had an amazing stay at Ilirs hostel! We loved how the place was managed sustainable. We also very much enjoyed the vegan/vegetarian traditional food prepared at the hostel and the host was very nice and helpfull. Would definately recommend a stay at ‘The House in the Village’.

Great way to experience Turkey away from city life - cherry trees, dogs every where, outdoor fire pit to cook on, seeing stars as you fall asleep. It’s cabin life in the mountains of Turkey edition.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt bei Ante. Man ist bei Ankunft direkt entspannt und wird sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Villa ist ein Haus zum wohlfühlen was keine Wünsche offen lässt Es war mit Sicherheit nicht unser letzter Aufenthalt hier.

Can’t say enough, really enjoyed the stay, were there for two weeks and found everything terrific. Very relaxing, easy to get around, car park available and bus outside. Marin, his father and mother were great, so helpful and generous. Thank you and we will be back

Casa bellissima! Cucina super attrezzata e posizione molto bella. Purtroppo abbiamo avuto un problema con le vespe, perché si era fatto un nido sul tetto e non siamo potuti stare nel terrazzino. Complessivamente però molto contenti di esserci stati!

The Drakoni House is a unique, wonderful place that was built and furnished with a lot of love. Alexandros paid a lot of attention to detail during construction and made an effort to preserve as many remnants of the old house as possible. This charm comes across very well. We were only there for a week, but it was enough time for us to feel very much at home and to relax. The nearest village is beautiful and has lots of nice little restaurants. Alexandros' tips made us feel very involved and he made the vacation very special. We will definitely come back.
