Family Apartment in Kiltimagh

JohnRating, 5 stars1 week ago
To be honest, I am rather reluctant to write this review. Why? Because I hope that only a few people might find out about this idyllic place otherwise it will likely be booked up the whole year through. But then that would not be fair to our very gracious hosts Joanne and Cathal. The apartment is resplendent, pristine and bright - with everything you might hope to find provided in a self-catering setting, and more besides.. We lacked nothing. Big screen smart TV, two separate bathrooms - one with a bath which I was sure to use after my Croagh Patrick ascent and descent, even a Salon level hair-dryer was provided. Two huge beds in an impressively spacious studio space upstairs. A well lit and spacious kitchen making meal preparation a joy with no lack of accessories provided. A large living-TV room with an expansive luxurious settee. But the quiet, the stillness and the closeness to nature cannot be overstated. As a retreat setting it is quite perfect and only 15 mins from Knock Shrine.

Elias Cottage

We had a lovely stay in Elias Cottage. It is stylishly furnished, comfortable and homely. We especially enjoyed the turf fires and the beautiful views from the living room upstairs. The host was extremely helpful and was available whenever we needed her.

Apartment in Foxford

EileenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay in Foxford at Noelle's place. The river view is gorgeous. We had everything we needed to eat in but also great recommendations for local options - the cafe in the woolen mills has delicious options . Noelle's place was a great base to explore the area from and also to relax within. Comfortable beds, great shower and everything we needed. We hope to stay again in the future and highly recommend.

Spacious Countryside Apartment for 2

RoyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Andrew and Rachel were such lovely hosts. It was the best BnB we have been to till date. Very spacious and with all amenities one can wish for which includes even an air fryer. The place was so clean. The price was so reasonable and to top it off extremely beautiful views and surroundings. Got to meet their 2 beautiful dogs Tilly and Wilson. I would definitely love to stay at Andrew’s and Rachel’s again if we visit Mayo again.

Crillaun Cottage

The place is right in the middle of nowhere, so it’s super peaceful and plenty to do around. The place is getting “up to speed” to Airbnb standards and you can tell but otherwise it’s great!!!!!

The Oak Tree House at Boheh

LouiseRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Such a magical place to stay, Lisa has created a fairytale location. From the minute we drove up the drive to opened the front door and discovered the incredible detail inside we were enchanted. I’ll definitely be booking again. Not to be missed. I also love the location so near to Old Head Beach and charming Louisburgh.

Murphy's Cottage

DerekRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A perfect place for a city family to get away in the country. There is 13 acres of land out the back with the river Moy at the end of the garden. As the land is uncultivated it is natures beauty at its best. The river Moy itself is stunning. I like the area as it is half an hour from the sea and the towns of Knock, Westport and Achill Island. Altogether a perfect place. The house itself is a little dated but as it was summer the heating wasn’t an issue. It also had central heating and a fire. I would strongly recommend this to give kids an authentic taste of original Irish countryside. I personally enjoyed sitting outside on the deck chairs admiring the scenery and listening to the birds singing.
