Kendoon Cabin

AlistairRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The cabin was superb, although the midges came out to play every day. You can avoid the worst of them by avoiding dawn and dusk, & using Smidge and Citronella candles. The hot tub was a must although it does take a little getting used to. My tip would be to give yourself plenty of time, use decent quality dried birch logs and use the bubbles to mix the water regularly. Keep an eye on the temperature as it can get REALLY hot. The cabin was great for spotting wildlife - we saw Ospreys, and had a spotted woodpecker eating off the bird feeders, though sadly no red squirrels. One thing worth a mention is that there is a SMALL fish farm just 'round the corner on the Loch. This might put some off, but the Loch was lovely and clear and we swam and paddleboarded without incident. Clachan Inn in Dalry well worth a visit, but be prepared for a very laid back evening - they aren't in a hurry but the food is worth waiting for.

Spacious one bedroom apartment in village centre

JanetRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Biker friendly apartment with loads of storage space in the apartment & in the secure lockup with plenty of level hard standing. Great power shower & an extremely comfortable double bed. Delicious homemade flapjacks & tea/coffee makings. Loved how friendly & commutative David the host is, very respectful & made me feel at home as soon as arrived. Will most certainly be staying here again great location when travelling up to Scotland or just for exploring the delights of Dumfries & Galloway

Little Minnows Cabin in the countryside

DerekRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great place to escape to. We booked for a couple of days r&r and that exactly what we had. It was so comfortable and relaxing with a huge space for the dogs on the doorstep. Helen was great and the eggs were a nice bonus. Next time we might go exploring the area.
