A stunning studio in the historic village of Riccall, with free off-street parking and its own stylish kitchen and bathroom. Just 8 miles from the beautiful city of York, Riccall contains everything you might want for your break: restaurant, pubs, takeaway, Post Office, hair salon and shop but it is also a perfect base for very easy access to York; buses leave from the end of the road every 15 minutes, driving is super quick and easy + Riccall is even on a gorgeous cycle/walking track to York.
“Would highly recommend this place as everything was spot on and great location for exploring York bus service was brilliant and only £6 for all day travel easily better than taking car into York. Very friendly place and villagers were very friendly. Unfortunately the bars were not open due to these surreal times 5 stars all the way Alex”
The historic city of york is only 15 mins away by car with the famous York minster and bar walls, along with various museums and ghost walks around the city. There are local bus stops to York and Selby which is approx 15/20min walk into village. The m62, and a64 are about 10 mins away, There are 2 local pubs in village as well that do me, as well as a lovely italian restaurant that serves beautiful food.
“We stayed overnight at Paul's place. It was ideal for us. The accommodation is even better than the pictures suggest. It had all the facilities we needed, and the wifi worked fine. Recommended.”
Teat Hill cottage is well located for an en-route stop for those travelling from the north of Great Britain to the south (or vice versa), or attending events in the York/Selby area. We offer a double bedroom with the sole use of a bathroom in our home which is located the small Yorkshire village of Osgodby. We provide a continental breakfast (gluten free on request) with lashings of good coffee and leaf teas. The village is quiet and has a real ale pub within walking distance.
“Mrs. KIM and her husband, Charles, are really warm and friendly. Mrs. KIM is very talkative and very enthusiastic about talking about the customs of the countries and the customs of the British life. Because their daughter-in-law is Japanese, they are full of recognition of the oriental culture. Mrs. KIM is also very funny. Although our English is not good, we chatted for a long time and enjoyed a rich dinner and breakfast from the landlord and felt the elegance and gentleman of the British. The room was clean and full of details, and even we gave us a room for two. It also recommended the route and attractions of the trip. In short, this night is very enjoyable.”
