The Meadow Lodge

Our stay at Meadow Lodge was wonderful. I felt I was living my Grand Design dream in the English Countryside (without all the effort involved :) From every window you could see sunlight on the meadow and through the trees and listen to the birdsong. The Lodge is beautifully decorated and feels like a home, with everything you need for a family stay. It was conveniently close to Cambridge and Duxford IWM. We also loved the Gog Farm Shop and the local pubs at Grantchester. Thank you Sophie and Si for having us.

The best place we’ve stayed in England so far. Mafalda and her family are great and welcoming hosts (especially their beautiful cat). Location is great as well. Right by the “park and ride”, which makes it perfect to visit all of the tourist places or university. Bedroom was clean and bright. Bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it for anyone who searches for comfortable room.

Claire's place is a real treat to stay in. Everything was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully stocked. We had our baby with us, so it was vety helpful to have the travel cot set up, along with baby essentials and toys. The garden is stunning and we were lucky enough to be able to try the home grown strawberries which were in season. Orwell is lovely and we enjoyed The Chequers Inn and nearby Wimpole Estate. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful.

The Potting Shed

We had a lovely stay at the Potting Shed. It is much bigger than the pictures suggest. Spacious and cosy. It is ideally located being in beautiful countryside yet walking distance to the village and in turn it's easy access to Cambridge. We self-catered and the kitchen was very well equipped. We also really appreciated the welcome goodies and that Ann-Marie made up the sofa-bed for us ahead. Super clean and fresh bedding. We were very comfortable and very much enjoyed our stay. It was also easy to communicate with Ann-Marie and the directions were very clear. Thank you so much.

This is the best deal in Cambridge. Immaculately clean, comfortable, quiet, well-appointed room. Look on map program to set walking directions to assist you a short walk south from train station. and it’s easy. Bus stops not far from her place but it is also walkable in good weather. Highly recommend.
