I propose a Tasting Workshop that takes place in 2 stages. The first part is devoted to the presentation of Champagne and its terroirs (Montagne de Reims, Marne Valley, Côte des Blancs ...), and the art of making champagne. Then, in a second time, you will taste 3 very different champagnes in order to understand the nuances of the Champagne terroir. It could be 100% Chardonnay champagne, 100% Pinot Noir champagne and 100% Pinot Meunier champagne. You will leave by having understood what differentiates champagne from other sparkling wines, but also by having learned to taste it. What is the good champagne glass? At what temperature should it be served? What is a Blanc de Blancs champagne? How to give champagne with a dish. The workshop will take place in a convial place, facing the halls of Boulingrin in the heart of Reims. Other things to note This workshop is for everyone, neophytes as amateurs. Tout d'abord, je vous accueillerai à la maison familiale. Nous irons dans une de nos parcelles pour vous y expliquer les différents travaux de la vigne ainsi que les méthodes propres à notre domaine. Nous irons au local pressoir-cuverie pour que vous puissiez imaginer comment une journée de vendange se déroule. Vous y verrez aussi la cuverie et je vous expliquerai l'élaboration de notre champagne. Nous retournerons à la maison, au cellier, pour les dernières manipulations des bouteilles. S'en suivra une dégustation de deux de nos cuvées bien méritée ! (il faut compter entre 2h et 2h30 de visite) Autres remarques - Nous marcherons, il y a environ 5 à 8 mn de marche entre chaque étape de la visite. - La visite est faite exclusivement en français. - Les enfants sont acceptés, visite gratuite pour eux puisqu'ils ne consomment pas de champagne ;)

My friend winemaker will welcome us at his place and we will visit his family exploitation. He will explain you his work and show you the different steps of production of champagne : from the press to the cellar going through the tanks room where the juices are stock waiting for the bottleling. We will save a lot of time for the tasting which is the most important. You will choose the bottle you want to drink during the visit of the cellar. If you hesitate, I will be there to give you advice. At this time, I will explain you the different types of champagne. We will drive back on the small road of Champagne through the vineyards.
