Andrea and Bruno are pleasant and charming people The property itself is spacious, and renovated to a very high standard. The yard is pleasant and spacious, we picked some mint and some lemon verbena. The view from the balcony is heart-warming. As parents of a small child, we were a little afraid of the stairs, and indeed it was challenging, but good handrails and a pair of gates to block access to the stairs from above really made it easier to cope (the stairs to the lower floor we just blocked permanently because we did not use this floor). The apartment is full of games for children, and our two-and-a-half-year-old daughter enjoyed it very much. The fresh bread and the quality coffee that Bruno left for us completed the experience. The location of the settlement is a little far from the river, and everywhere you need to drive first on the winding road down the hill. But the charming beach of Avo is 8 minutes away, so it's not really a big deal. In short, we will return again and with great joy, thank you Bruno and Andrea, we will be happy to meet you in Coimbra as well.

This was a very special stay. We were a group of 6 friends and the houseboat freely accommodated us all. The surroundings are beautiful - we loved that there were kayaks and a paddle board to use. One of the highlights of our trip to Portugal! The host and employee Rui were both friendly and attentive. Would recommend to anyone.

My husband and I needed a break in the country side and James place was perfect. James gave us some great tips for the area.His house and farm are very big and beautiful and we had a very relaxing few days. The little town of villa de rei is only 10 min away. Great bush-walks with lovely cool waterfalls and places to swim are near by.Definitely can recommend James place to anyone.We hope to come back one day.

A marvel!!! The environment is impressive, if you come with the idea of breathing fresh air and listening only to the birds singing, waking up with that coffee in hand, looking up and marveling at the landscape before your eyes... We had a perfect stay at John’s yurt. The yurt was very well equipped, and we had everything we needed. The area was also very beautiful and a perfect place to watch the sunset and stars. We are extremely appreciative of John and family’s hospitality and warmth, not to mention going above and beyond when we had a flat tire in the morning! Definitely recommend! Thanks so much for having us, hope we will be back one day :))

I spent two nights at Casa Canela with my girlfriend. We made this choice because we wanted to “escape” the chaos of the city and look for a place to rest! You've exceeded our expectations! Super quiet place, with all the amenities! Super well-equipped kitchen, impeccable bathroom and phenomenal bedroom! The cleaning, tidying and care was excellent! The pool is super well maintained, as is the entire surrounding space! Even with Steve living upstairs, privacy was total! Steve is fantastic and super available! The house has all the conditions and amenities for those who want to spend a week or two! Without a doubt, the best place I've ever stayed! I hope to be able to return someday!
