Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Bassillac et Auberoche

The house - beautiful, an old building, high rooms, wonderfully cool even at over 30 degrees, if you close windows and doors during the day and darken. A wide cuddle sofa and a good TV for the evening. Despite the city, it is very quiet; now in June, in the evening, when the windows are opened, the calls of the swallows and other birds and sweet scent (linden?)A nice little garden. Everything very tastefully and stylishly furnished, very good beds - we would have liked to take the mattresses with us ;))). Everything is very clean. We recommend the second bakery on Rue Claude Bernard - also good patisserie, and the restaurant Sous les Tilleuils-, rue judaique - very good value for money, a young creative cook, charming, relaxed service. Excursion: definitely Brantome, pretty town, surrounded by the river, with boat trip (highly recommended, nice staff, information sheets in English, German and Spanish), and from there Bimbillou Museum, bar and food truck-shady island in the middle of the river.

A very nice little cottage in the middle of Montignac. We rarely had such a nice AirBnB. Florie gave us great information and was easily accessible. This cottage is worth a visit.

We had a fantastic stay at Patrick & Jacqueline’s. They’ve done a great job on the property and it’s a perfect location for exploring the dordogne. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Fabulous gite in a gorgeous setting.

A gorgeous old stone house with chic updates. We only used 3 bedrooms and they were all comfortable with modern baths. Many places to gather, especially outside. The living room was lovely and welcoming. The farnhouse kitchen was very well supplied. The pool house was to die for and we had cocktails and even dinner there one evening. The views! Gorgeous, with castles and hot air balloons. The hosts live on site and were delightful when we ran across them but very discreet. It definitely felt like “our” property. Nothing negative to say, and we were blessed with fabulous weather! It’s in the heart of the must see towns along the Dordogne, with many restaurants and sights within 5-10 minutes. Typhaine’s place is such a lovely and peaceful get away, with amazing views of Montignac. It exceeded our expectations. The place was very clean and comfortable. We would love to come back!

We enjoyed our two weeks stay at Véronique‘s a lot. The house is very nice, we felt at home right away. It is located in a lovely, well kept and quite village. If you see the neighbours in the streets, they are friendly. The house itself is very clean, offers even more space than the photos indicate, and is very well decorated. The kitchen has everything we needed when it comes to utensils and machinery. The bathrooms are nice, too. The view from the house onto the property and surrounding landscape is amazing and invites you to relax. We took a lot of meals on the balcony. We enjoyed the garden and especially the pool which is looked after by a specialist every view days. We saw a lot of different birds while being in the garden. The village offers a small restaurant and a very good bakery both with French cuisine/ pastry.

A feel good experience! As a previous reviewer said, the property was hard to leave, from the great view down the valley from the elevated deck, to the super comfy, large bed. Without hesitation, would recommend it and the hosts’ hospitality. Diana & Derek

This is a lovely apartment and just as described. It has been very tastefully renovated and the fixtures and fittings are high quality and comprehensive. The location in the old quarter of Bergerac, near the river and close to shops, restaurants and tourist opportunities is first rate and it would be hard to find something better in a 2 bed apartment. Highly recommended and I am sure we will book again in the future.

Great location, within minutes walking to restaurants, attractions and main areas. Parking along the river is free and easy to access, about a minutes walk to apartment. The thick walls of the apartment, three layers of glass, kept out the heat and noise during a few very hot days in Périgueux. Apartment has all you need, and so much character. Lots to do in the region, easy driving to Brantome, Bourdielles and many other lovely towns. Lovely to meet Nicole, very friendly and welcoming.

A charming apartment in the old centre. The bed was comfortable and the shower hot. The view from both windows were lovely. The location was excellent. Périgueux was like peeling back the layers of an onion surprising us with scenic river walks, the many different ages and architecture of old buildings and the amazing gastronomy available.

Always perfect! This was our 3rd stay at Jonathan's apartment, we still haven't found any defects. We'll be happy to come back, thanks Jonathan!

clean, functional and welcoming accommodation. located in a small quiet and peaceful street. very good mattress. excellent quality linen and that smelled good of laundry... Michel was not present when we arrived, but had sent us clear and precise explanations to enter the accommodation. very responsive to our messages. a homemade aperitif was waiting for us in the refrigerator. ... nice touch. a little extra, the private parking space. everything was perfect. thank you.

Great apartment right in the center of Sarlat's market area! It is very cozy and provides easy access to all the town has to offer. Parking was very convenient nearby as well.

We spent a night in Véronique's apartment to make a stop on the way to our vacation. The apartment is as described, clean and well-equipped with good bedding. The place is quiet and easy to find, on our arrival we were very well received by Véronique and we were able to chat together.

Stephanie was a fantastic host who was a pleasure to meet and taking the time to tell us about all the local places to visit and her apartment was ideally located for walking into Sarlat town centre in just a couple of minutes and it was a very enjoyable 3 day stay, thanks David and Teresa

We would come back for a future stay in this beautiful Périgord Noir.

Sarlat was special to us! With Christmas approaching, it was complete. The city is small but charming! The Christmas market, very cheerful and welcoming, made a place in our hearts! It was a great place to choose and visit numerous sites in the region. The apartment is exactly as described. The cost-benefit was valuable to us. If I had known Sarlat before, as well as the apartment, I would spend Christmas there! It would have been magical! Thanks host! I'll be back if the world doesn't end first!

My wife and I stayed at this apartment recently for seven nights. Communication with the host, Muriel, was excellent from start to finish. Check in and out was straight forward as Muriel picked us up at the station and her husband dropped us off. The apartment is located in a quiet residential area, only a two or three minute walk from the centre. It is well equipped for making meals, despite not having an oven, has a lovely balcony and is quiet, especially at night. It also has the bonus of an underground parking space although a small car is required. I would certainly recommend this apartment as a base for staying in beautiful Sarlat and visiting surrounding areas.
