Family of 4 on a road trip from the UK. Barbara’s place was such a welcome after a few days of travelling. Instructions were clear and easy to follow, exactly as described, we actually felt the accommodation was a lot more spacious than expected, it was clean and comfy. Great access into Blankenburge, we walked over the tram line and along the beach path into the town for the evening. Highly recommend!

The accommodation was very nice but a little expensive for a weekend in low season. I would have liked to spare the cleaning and do it myself but the setting was very good.

We, three adults and a 4-year-old child, had a very nice stay in May. The house is spacious, very well equipped and very clean. You felt right at home. Particularly good: freezer compartment available, top equipped kitchen with dishes and cooking accessories. Blackout possible with folding shutters. Toilet is separate, so not in the bathroom. Lots of toys for indoors and outdoors on site. The garden is completely fenced. Large deck with awning. Private parking at the house, 1 min walk to the playground, 15 min walk to the beach. There is free parking on the beach itself. Erika is a wonderful host, always available, very friendly and helpful. Not so good: the refrigerator is a bit small. No dishwasher. But it didn't really bother us, we got along very well. The location is great for exploring the coast and cities like Bruges and Ghent. Stores, such as Aldi and Lidl, are 3 minutes away. We will be happy to come back !

Great accommodation, the super welcoming welcome everything is well explained upon arrival. The cohabitation of the campsite is kind people are friendly I highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful long weekend with our 2 kids of 5 and 6. The house has a number of nice places to sit (also outside) and the swimming pond is easily accessible via the backyard. Furthermore, the communication with Merel was really great, so we really recommend it!

I stayed for a week in this great location and cozy house. The area is peaceful and perfect for hiking in nature. The house is well-equipped and has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. Gregory is a very friendly and helpful host. I would love to stay in this house again next time.

We had a wonderful long weekend in this cozy and bright apartment, which matched the description perfectly. We especially appreciated that bed linens and towels were provided, as this isn't always common for Airbnb accommodations at the North Sea. We felt completely comfortable and warmly recommend this place to others. We'd definitely love to return ourselves. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

We had a really great time at the house. The location was very peaceful and calm. The house had all amenities we needed. There was a super market very nearby which was very helpful. The garden was lovely and our dog enjoyed there as well! Bruges was pretty nearby as well and this house is a perfect place for a relaxing vacation!

Very lovely stay! The pool is heated very well and the area is lovely to walk around or cycle! We also utilized the bbq and it was lovely to spend time with family in this beautiful area. The only thing to note is there are a lot of ticks as you are truly in nature so definitely bring deet and a tick pen! This is to be expected in any forest/countryside area though and we would definitely come back. Caroline responded very quickly and all the instructions and house rules were extremely clear. We would definitely recommend!

Super nice holiday home. nicely decorated, lots of toys and the like for the kids. Really thought of the comfort of the guests. Recommended!

We spent 3 nights and the accommodation was great, the setting is very pleasant in the middle of the forest while being accessible to several places to visit around. We did not encounter any difficulty with the accommodation, the instructions were clear and Claudine sent us a lot of information and was indulgent regarding the additional payment for the chier. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Everything was perfect during my stay, from check-in to checkout! Listening owner, responsive and very kind, peaceful nature with birds singing constantly, a feeling of being in a timeless place so quiet and how cozy it is! Gielen is easily reachable by foot with its shops and lots of possible walks around. Thank you so much for the perfect welcome, I can't wait to come back!
