A lovely, simple clean hotel where the staff were really friendly and helpful and an easy stroll to the beach.

Cheap. Nice location. Comfy big bed. Room smelt a bit damp is only drawback. Good shower. Good location.

This was genuinely one of our favourite places in all of Sri Lanka. Incredibly peaceful and beautiful with a stunning view of the lake and just the sounds of nature. The room is very luxurious, from the big comfy bed to the beautiful bathroom with a hot waterfall shower, it was perfect! Madhu’s hospitality was expectional, we were so well taken care of and felt at home right away! We had dinner on the terrace by the lake both nights and it was the most delicious and varied local food we’ve had! The breakfast was also fantastic! One of the highlights was when Madhu offered for us to borrow her paddleboard of the lake where we went round the lagoon at sunset and saw lots of widlife! A truly exceptional place, would definitely recommend!!

Place was very good! Breakfast was not included, but was very tasty. Beer is cold in the fridge ;)

The stay with Igor and Michele was just nice. It is quietly located, the pool and the many seating areas invite you to relax. We had breakfast together and the whole atmosphere was super friendly and familiar. We would definitely come back and recommend it 100%.

At first - super fast communication with host. It makes everything much easier! Thanks for that. Everything was good at the end, just a little minus - when we arrived at evening pool was dirty. Also on next morning there was varan (big lizard) swimming - but our kids will say that it’s a plus :)) After we asked about the pool it was immediately cleaned. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was really great. We recommend this place! No worries about the pool we swim and everything was good :)) Beautiful view!

If you are looking of an oasis and an awesome hideout away from the busy streets of Hikkaduwa you found your place. Traveling can get exhausting, chanakas place is perfect if you feel like staying at home, reading and enjoying some private life in your cabanas. The design is quite unique and one gets the feeling of being at home, as soon as Faust welcomes you.

We stayed at Villa White for a month as a family with a baby and a four-year-old child and we couldn't have imagined a better place to stay for this time. The owners welcomed us like family, helped us with the children and fulfilled every wish whether it was planning excursions, fresh coffee or the fever of our son. For a week we even got the larger room without paying for it just to give us a nice time. Yamuna, the owner of the villa, not only loves babies and children, but is the warmest person we have ever met while traveling. A special highlight are the monkeys, who regularly stop by at breakfast and enjoy bananas. The location on a beautiful and child-friendly beach for Sri Lankan standards was also perfect for us. We will be back and can only recommend it.

We had an amazing stay with Hiruni and Chehan. They are the kindest people, trying to meet ours and our kids every need. Including offering us rides, helping us with errands, cooking really good Sri Lankan food. The place is beautiful, bright and clean and in a great location, close to supermarkets and the beach is just a Tuktuk ride away. We can definitely recommend it anytime.

Beautiful private property, felt isolated once inside. The place was spotless when we arrived and it had everything we needed for our stay. Definitely the best WiFi we have experienced in our two weeks stay in Sri Lanka, seamless allowed us to stream. Host extremely responsive, our electricity went out due to extreme weather and the issue was resolved within 10mins. We didn’t want to leave this place!

We were fans of Morena Boutique Hotel, perfect location between Weligama en ahangama. We had a great welcome. The hotel blends perfectly with the area, and when walking in it feels like a little paradise, with it's private beach perfectly secluded (turtles come there often to swim). If the day is too hot you can cool off in their cute pool. The rooms have an amazing view to the beach, clean and comfortable. AC + ventilator worked perfectly. Breakfast was delicious on the rooftop! We would love to come back someday again! Things they could improve on: The bathroom was alright, but because it's a wet room everything gets wet when you shower, and the toilet had sometimes a bit of a struggle flushing.

Host Dilini and Chama were very welcoming and warmful people. we enjoyed our stay and it was pleasant stay at Jungalow Mirissa. Appreciate host for their excellent local breakfast. Would visit again and definitely recommend

We enjoyed our stay. Our host and staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The space is very serene, and the location is perfect - not far from shops and restaurants but at the same time quiet and peaceful. We felt very welcomed and very well taken care off.

Nice Villa. Everything was fine.

Great room, clean, everything works, linens and towels are fresh, the condo is powerful, there are no insects, they give adapters for sockets and a router if the wifi does not pull. The staff is trying very hard to help, respond to any detail and try to think ahead.

Really cool room with massive comfortable bed. Great A/C which owner James had fixed immediately when there was an issue. James is a friendly host, nearly always around the place working on something - so he's easy to get hold of if needed! He has an amazing team working with him, the guys are really friendly and will get you involved socially if you're open to that. It's a nice place just to hang out - with the pool, pool table, climbing wall and prob the best coffee in the area! Also as a surfer, it's literally 1 minute walk from a great surf spot and beach. I stayed for 9 days and could easily have stayed longer.

We felt very comfortable with Magda and Domi. The two welcomed us in a very friendly way and gave us good tips for the area. The room was beautiful and very clean. The common areas were very spacious and there was nothing missing. The pool was great and we spent a lot of time in it and around it:) and our daughter also loved the trampoline. All in all, it was the most beautiful place to stay in Sri Lanka.

We absolutely LOVED staying at NETS. The room was beautiful and clean and the common areas were comfy. The pool was great to use on a lunch break. The co-working space was brilliant, easy to access and you can book separate rooms for meetings. The staff were amazing! We had such a great stay at mates villa! It’s a gorgeous space, and we loved using the pool and enclosed yard every day. As it’s newly opened, the rooms, kitchen and overall property is in pristine condition. Really good value for what we paid and would love to stay again next time we visit. Special shoutout to the hosts, they were so friendly and welcoming, and even helped us book a taxi to our next destination. Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Jungle. We stayed almost 3 weeks. The rooms are classy, the view is amazing, and the location is convenient to all the shops. the staff are professional and very polite and helpful. The sand on the beach is lovely, light, and soft to walk on. The ocean here has fantastic bug eaves you can watch. Its fun to wade in but dangerous to swim a lot of the time. Great for boogie boarding. The food was great and the restaurant service was impeccable.. thank you to all the wonderful staff for allowing us to feel right at home.

Thank you for the wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was very friendly and attentive, and you could tell they worked as one team. This place became a true source of warmth and friendship for me. Every evening, they asked me what I wanted for breakfast the next day. When I got sick, they brought me plenty of tea with lemon without asking for anything in return. They organized a whale watching tour at a price lower than other excursion providers. I felt completely comfortable and safe.

We stayed a week at Slow Life boutique hotel. It felt very safe and contained . Our room was lovely upstairs with a little balcony ,air conditioning and our own bathroom. Everything was very clean our sheets and towels were changed . The common area was available but when in the hotel we spent more time in our lovely cool bedroom. Marissa was interesting to explore . The southern end of the beach was a lot calmer to swim in. It was great watching the surfers at the northern end of the beach . The only thing that wasn’t available was facilities to cook our own food . But that was fine as there were so many lovely places to eat in Marissa. Our hosts organised a scooter for us to use . Thanks very much for everything.

Great place to stay for long time. Reasonable prices and value for money. Super clean rooms and swimming pool. Owner Lakshitha is nice and super helpful. The kitchen is eqiuped with all the items to cook by ourselfes. The breakfast from the shanthi boutique villa was more than expexted. Overall a super experience. Love to stay more on this place.

We had a wonderful stay. The place is awesome, beautiful landscape and surroundings . The bungalows are decorated with style and quality furniture. The bed is very comfortable . The hosts is very sympathetic and helpful. The food was very good and the presentation like a piece of art 😍. We highly recommend this place … we definitely will come back. Thank you again 🙏
