“This house is a wonderful rustic cottage with everything you need for a pleasant relaxing stay. We were met by Eva's dad at check in. You can park inside the castle walls to the right. There are sufficient cooking appliances plus sugar, oil, salt and a bit of coffee. The view of the town and Mt. Tomorri is breathtaking. From the cottage, you can easily explore the castle grounds, find local Albanian food, handcrafted items, and homegrown fruits.”

“Staying at Lucà’s place is a must if you are going to Berat. Well situated in the old town Luca and his wife Elena welcome you with some home made fruit liqueurs, preserved fruits and araks made from different fruits. Luca speaks great English and loves to have a chat so you learn lots about Berat and Albania. We also had a lovely home cooked dinner and breakfast was wonderful. Nothing is a problem for Luca and Elena.”
2018 UPDATE We recently added a bathroom attached to the master bedroom. The master bedroom has now also a double bed and a single bed. Hairdryer and iron available. We also have added additional heaters throughout the house for the cold months and additional fans (on top of the AC units) for the warmer months. Brand new TVs in the living room and master bedroom.
“Staying here was one of the highlights of our two week trip through Albania. While we loved Berat, we equally enjoyed being in the apartment- particularly on that AMAZING balcony! We were taken well care of by the host’s brother, Dorian who checked-in on us during our stay to deliver homemade wine and Raki. (There are snacks and drinks and homemade wine available, which we took advantage of the first night; he noticed this and came back to replenish our supply in case we wanted more:-)) Dorian also had many proposals for activities and day trips, and said he was available to drive us if we wanted. We had a car and so declined, but we appreciated the consideration for that possibilty. (There are of course fees for services and supplies, but everything is reasonably priced) It was very interesting to talk to Dorian about Berat’s/ Albania’s history and his experiences growing up there. , he seemed to genuinely enjoy making us feel at home and ensuring that our stay was as we wished. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in Berat- it is perfectly located as well! We would, without a doubt, stay here again!”
