Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Bergenhus

We had a great stay at Håkon’s house for our 1-day trip to Bergen. The house is located on a relatively quiet street, which mostly has pedestrian and bike/e-scooter traffic. This also means that there is no parking options right next to the house, however, we found several parking options close by, so this turned out to not be much of an issue for us. The house was clean and comfortable and featured all the amenities we would usually expect. When considering this house, please be aware that all bedrooms are on the second floor and the stairs going up to these are steep - hence, if anyone in the group has walking difficulties, this could be a problem. Otherwise, we would fully recommend this house to other people traveling to Bergen.

There are so many wonderful things to say about this very special place. The house is magical! It is far more beautiful and charming in real life. There were so many different places to go, to be together, or to be separate, to chat, or to read or work. The furnishings are lovely and comfortable. And the art selection is fantastic. It was warm and sunny, and when it rained, we could hear the rain on the roof. The place was very quiet and the location is perfect to do all the things anyone would want to do in Bergen. And an outstanding kitchen! Sharp knives are rare in these places and we loved the ones here. Ingvild was a lovely and generous hostess. We look forward to returning, and to spend much more time here.

Wir haben drei Nächte in dem kleinen Haus verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Einrichtung ist sehr heimisch und es gibt viele kleine Details zu entdecken, die die Atmosphäre wohnlich machen. Obwohl das Haus so klein ist, hat man alles was man braucht, auch wenn wir manchmal etwas suchen mussten :-) Die Kommunikation mit Gerhard war sehr gut und er gibt klare Anweisungen (z.B. zur Bedienung der Alarmanlage). Die Unterkunft ist nicht direkt im Zentrum gelegen, aber das wussten wir vorher und es ist kein Problem, wenn man gut zu Fuß unterwegs ist. Ansonsten fahren in der Nähe auch Busse. Um eine Wanderung von Sandvikspilen zum Fløyen zu machen, liegt das Haus perfekt.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön gelegen, nicht weit vom Fischmarkt und Bryggen entfernt. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Schlafzimmer ist im Erdgeschoss und das Bett ist sehr bequem. Im ersten Geschoss gibt es Küche. Dort findet man alles, was man braucht. Es sind nicht nur Besteck, Teller, Töpfe, Kaffeemaschine vorhanden sondern es sind auch Tee, Öl , Gewürze, Chips, Kerzen und viel weiteres dabei. Im zweiten Obergeschoss gibt es Sofa und Fernsehecke. Die Treppen sind steil. Uns hat das nicht gestört. In der Wohnung gibt es auch Waschmaschine mit Trockner und Bügeleisen, wofür wir auch sehr dankbar waren. Das Check-in war mit den allen Informationen von Magnus unkompliziert und die Heizung war schon an als wir angekommen sind, so dass in dem Haus schon schön kuschelig warm war. Wir haben uns sehr wohl dort gefühlt und hatten echt eine tolle Zeit. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Lieben Dank

Wir fühlten uns wohl in der sehr stilvoll eingerichtete Wohnung, es war ruhig und behaglich, direkt am Fjord gelegen. Ausflüge nach Bergen sind flexibel und praktisch möglich, da die Bushaltestelle in 5 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar ist. Die Kommunikation mit Arve und Lydia war unkompliziert, sie waren stets gut erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit! Barbara und Matthias

This is a great little place to stay and very close to all the action in the main area of town. Very easy walk to the water, the fish market etc. and lots of shops nearby, including restaurants, grocery stores etc. Would stay there again for sure!

Wir hatten gemütliche zwei Tage, trotz des schlechten Wetters. Sehr liebevoll eingerichtete Hütte und problemlose und einfache Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin.

We only stayed 2 nights, but it was a very pleasant stay. Ana was responsive and ensured all was well. The bed was comfortable and the apartment had all we needed for a short visit.. the location is great, and an easy walk from most sites and amenities. The apartment is small, it all we needed.

We loved staying here! Its such a cute place and the street is so charming and beautiful, feels very private but is also walkable. The interior is very nicely furnished and designed and made for a very cozy place to rest and enjoy looking out the windows at the surrounding rooftops. Highly recommend!

Linn’s place is small as listed but was perfect for our stay. The location was ideal, walkable to all of downtown Bergen. If coming to Bergen, it is a good choice.

I had an amazing stay! This Airbnb is gorgeous. It's such a treat to get home to after a day of exploring. Very clean and lots of amenities (I.e., washer/dryer, blow dryer, kitchen supplies). The location is also great! It's in a central location that makes it easily walkable to many desirable attractions in Bergen. There is a grocery store beside the unit and restaurants within walking distance. 10 min walk from main transit line to airport. Such a wonderful stay!

l'appartamento si rova a pochi metri dalla stazione centrale. davvero comodo se arrivi a Bergen con il treno come abbiamo fatto noi. la casa è grande, comoda e silenziosa. siamo stati davvero bene

We had a wonderful 3-nights stay at Helga’s wonderful apartment. Very easy to find and check in, amazing views from the apartment and rooftop terrace on 15th floor where we started and ended up our days. A cozy, clean and well equipped apartment where we found everything what we needed and much more! Comfortable beds and nice shower! A nice walk to the city over the pedestrian bridge. Helga was a great host, proactive and pleasant in her communication including all local tips which was very helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at Hege’s apartment. The apartment is very spacious, comfortable, clean and well organised. We had everything we needed and much more. The location is great- being so close to all the attractions. Great choices for food options as well. Above all, a very helpful and attentive host! All added up to a wonderful stay for us in Bergen

Sindre’s place was an amazing base for our Bergen adventure! The apartment is beautiful and cozy with an amazing view. It is, as advertised, quite a hike to get up to the apartment without the funicular, but it’s well worth it. Sindre was kind and helpful with all our requests. We would love to stay here again! Vi bodde en natt i den superkoselige leiligheten. Stedet var lite, men meget praktisk innredet og hadde alt og mere til. Pluss for det ekstra koselige nabolaget.

Super Schneider, Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin, die Wohnung sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und die Küche ist sehr vollständig. Die Lage ist perfekt und Bergen zu Fuß zu erkunden. Das ist eigentlich eine Fußgängerzone zum Be und entladen, kann man mit dem Auto vorfahren.

Veldig fin leilighet med sentral beliggenhet og enkel parkering. Hadde alt av kjøkkenutstyr. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

Christen is unlike any other host. He met me at the bus stop and helped me with the luggage. He has a handwritten book of recommendations on where to eat and what to do, along with helpful instructions for the stay. He had left a bottle of wine, and cookies and coffee for me, which was very thoughtful. The place is super walkable to the city centre and the tour/airport bus stops. While central, it’s also tucked away from all the city centre madness and thereby offers a quiet and relaxing place to stay after a busy day of exploring the beauty of Norway. Christen was very friendly, flexible and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a central place to stay in Bergen (as long as they don’t mind climbing up a few flight of stairs). Thanks for the lovely time in Bergen, Christen! Hope to stay here again when my travels bring me back to the incredibly beautiful city of Bergen. :) Cheers!

What a privilege to stay in a beautiful heritage house in Bergen. Very comfortable, a responsive and friendly host (Tusen takk Marit), and really enjoyed exploring the neighbourhood. Very accessible to town. Five ⭐️
