Buitenhuysje de Roos has recently been completely renovated and is wonderfully quiet. The cottage is small but nice, about 55m2 and has 3 bedrooms. In 2022, our cottage was renovated, with a new bathroom, kitchen and cast floor. There is a fireplace and nice wooden veranda, where you can sit very privately, with beautiful views. Within 5 minutes, you can drive to Bergen or Schoorl, where you will find supermarkets, nice shops and restaurants. The dunes and forest are within walking distance, and by bike you can reach the beach in 20 minutes.

From the "auction house", adjacent to the Beemster World Heritage Site, and the Mijzen nature reserve, you can enjoy beautiful walks and cycling. Or find peace on the water with our canoes, recommended! Our atmospheric cottage is located in the back of the garden, and is built from the old building materials from the old auction of Avenhorn. Conveniently located 10-40 km from: Hoorn-Enkhuizen-Medemblik, Edam-Volendam-Marken. But certainly also Alkmaar, the Zaanse schans, Amsterdam and not to forget, the coast of Noord Holland.

Welcome to this nice place, on the beautiful Dorpsstraat van Zwaag, 2km from the center of Hoorn, 30 minutes above Amsterdam. This accommodation has its own entrance, 3 air conditioners, 2 bedrooms & views of greenery. How nice of you to be interested. We are happy to give you tips: Come and see the museum mill, enjoy hiking, biking, boating, fishing or drive to the beach in 30 minutes. Do you sleep in the extra long electric box spring or cozy in the bunk bed? Even the sofa can be folded out as a sofa bed for a relaxed TV evening + massage chair. It has always been our dream to start a B&B. We are very grateful to have been able to buy, refurbish and welcome you to this historic property.

Our beautiful windmill was built on the remains of a medieval castle in 1873. In 2006 the mill was fully renovated. You will have a comfortable stay in the mill which is surrounded by a beautiful garden. Maurik is a charming village, very centrally located between larger cities like Utrecht, Den Bosch, Arnhem and Nijmegen. The area is very suitable for cycling, hiking and swimming.
