Lake house holiday rentals in Black Lake

My husband and I came to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. Alex was so kind from the start and communicated helpful information, giving detailed instructions and made it clear he was available for anything we needed whenever. We had a great stay and hope to come back and visit some day in the future. Thanks Alex for being such a great airbnb host, you go the extra mile and it shows :) you will regret NOT staying here, so make sure you book this one.

Walking in through the front door, the living room looks like a house from a “House Beautiful “ magazine. It’s so welcoming and decorated so uniquely. The kitchen is so well stocked with utensils, bakeware and cookware. The beds were very comfortable. As were the recliners in the living room. The scenery out the back windows was by far the eye catcher. You look down the hill from the house over the lake. Hubby fished three times each day of our stay. We will definitely be back. It is a Golden Buzzer Airbnb.

House was beautiful and there was plenty of room for the bride and bridesmaids. Host responded to my questions very quickly. My only regret is that out of 3 days we were only at the house for about 15 hours - long enough to sleep a few hours early each morning. We spent the majority of our time at the wedding venue decorating - it took 23 hours - and then putting on the wedding and cleaning up. A snowstorm hit the first night. We passed the snow removal guy the next morning on our way back to the venue. He cleared out all the snow before we returned early the next morning.

Peaceful place. We loved being on the water and having a fire while listening to the water. We would love to return.

Bill was the most attentive host we’ve ever had. He’s personable and communicates well and truly wants to make sure your needs are met. He met us at the cottage and did an in-person orientation of the home. I felt comfortable texting him if any questions came up later. This was a beautiful home and very well cared for.

Beautiful home and a great host. Plenty of space for our group of 10. Close to all of the golf that Gaylord has to offer. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place to stay! Went for a golf trip slept 8 of us comfortably. 15 min from tree tops resorts and surrounding golf courses all close. I would recommend for future golfers!

An excellent and peaceful stay with beautiful lake views, accomodations that make it easy to feel right at home and excellent additions to bring your stay over the top like the barrel sauna!

We stayed for a weekend with family and our fur babies and had an amazing time. Courtney let us check in earlier which was nice of her and we got to enjoy the water. The water was just as described crystal clear. House was super clean and cozy. We will definitely stay again next year.

The home was clean and welcoming! We appreciated the binder that gave reccomendations and instructions for everything. The air purifiers came in handy with the air quality alerts we’ve been having. Everything was cozy and as pictured! Thank you for having us

The Beach House is perfect! All the amenities you will need and beautiful Lake Huron right across the street! The decorating is cheerful and the space is very well appointed - extra blankets, kitchen gadgets, beach towels - all the things we needed for our week's stay. Nicol was always quick to responsd to any questions we had. We will definitely stay here again!

Worth what we paid is an understatement beautiful surroundings quiet and plenty to do around worth the 8 hr drive for sure.

Great stay for the weekend. Peaceful and beautiful view of the lake. We seen bald eagles and caught fish off the dock. We would love a place like this to spend weekends away. Definitely would stay there again.

we loved this place so much! Probably one of the best rentals we have every had on a trip! The place had great views , was so comfortable and felt like being at home and had so many small touches that helped us while being away from our own home! We loved all of these extra bonus things like night lights , extra snacks , variety of coffee options and a s'mores bar to top it off ! Thank you for making our stay extra special and fun!! We loved it !!

The house was cozy and perfect for our family getaway. They had everything we needed from kayaks, lily pads, paddle boards and fishing gear.

A clean, cozy, well decorated space that had everything we needed and then some. Peaceful area, close to lake. We really felt at home and enjoyed ourselves. Chip makes everything clear and easy. Great host.

We stayed here for 6 days. 4 adults, three kids. The house is as pictured. It has plenty of sleeping space, living area was large enough for all of us to hang out during the rain. The house itself is very clean, insanely well organized and equipped, and great views of the lake from almost everywhere. The front yard and dock were a great place to relax and go for a dip. The sunsets are beautiful as described. The house is tucked in down a small road but enough to be away from the street noise. For walkers/runners/bikers, the roads are beautiful rolling hills with barely any cars (just cross the main street to the other side of the hill and go up the side streets). A great rental boat place is half a mile than the road, we rented a boat for two days and made our way down to the sand dunes. We loved the house, the location and all the little towns. The side yard is safe and quite for kids to roam around. And the owners are very responsive and informative. We will be back for sure.

Beautiful home, in a location perfectly situated for river life (amazing birding!) and walker-friendly town life. The large kitchen is better equipped than my own, and the interior floor-plan made it easy for our group to be comfortable, whether gathered or in separate spaces. The scenic grounds are kept perfectly manicured. The owner lives close by and is very helpful with sharing information and lending kayaks, canoe, and life vests. The house is historic yet feels fresher than a new home - overall a great experience.

The cabin was even better than expected! Nicole responded to every question that I had within 10 minutes. This was the perfect place for a kid free getaway and I think it would be just as fun in the winter as the summer. The location was perfect for visiting other cities if you want to travel around. We went to Petosky and Boyne city and visited Northern Michigan speedway on Saturday night. We will definitely be back!

The Pine House was a wonderful retreat for our family! This has been my husband’s favorite family vacation. The pictures don’t do it justice. Even though it was chilly, we loved walking along the coast. The cabin has good WiFi, but the area around it has really spotty service - which meant the kids were more engaged in activities and outings. The hosts were really communicative, which was helpful when we first arrived. My family and I HIGHLY recommend a stay at the Pine House.

We really enjoyed our stay here! We spent the weekend skiing at Boyne Highlands. Having the heated garage to use and the laundry area really helped us with space and gettin organized! Very spacious kitchen and living room, beds were comfortable and the cleanlieness of the entire place was wonderful! This place had everything you needed. I wish we could have stayed much longer!

Great option for a Walloon Wedding.... Way better than staying at an overpriced Hampton Inn :)
