Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Black Lake

This place was beautifull! In a great, quiet and peaceful location. Would highly recommend and definitely come back for another stay! Lauren was super nice, responsive and clearly takes pride in hosting!

The stay was fantastic. The atmosphere was unparalled. Kitchen had everything you could ever need. Surroundings were beautiful. Host was responsive and kind. 100% will return.

Laurel was an amazing host! The place was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. She was incredibly responsive throughout our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. Her thoughtfulness really stood out—she even offered us a late checkout, which we truly appreciated. The peaceful surroundings and little touches made it feel like a home away from home. Highly recommend staying here—we’d definitely love to come back!

How was clean, neat, and comfortable. I imagine if the weather was better we would have enjoyed the outdoor amenities. It was also very convenient to downtown.

This was the second time we have stayed here at Heather's place. The location is second to none; peaceful, private, beautiful. The house was clean, easy to find, easy to access using the lock and instructions she provided. We had a great time on the back deck, utilized the grill and the kitchen with no glitches. Everything was great! I'm so glad the unit was available for the weekend we were looking to book. We can't wait to return, and possibly stay longer than a weekend. Thank you Heather! Nancy U.

This place truly felt like a home away from home—beautiful, peaceful, and even better than the photos! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed—and more. The host was very kind and responsive. He let us use the firewood he had stocked, provided two BBQ grills, and had lots of board games perfect for kids. The house is fully carpeted, so using the front door with shoes can get messy. We used the back door through the garage so our shoes could stay inside. You can tell the host is very clean and takes pride in the home. There are also two canoes (we didn’t use due to weather). Thousand Islands Boat Tour is just 37 minutes away—perfect for a day trip. Would definitely stay again!

My family and I stayed for the May Long weekend. The place had gorgeous views, great amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. Communication with the hosts was easy, and they made us feel very welcome. The organization is evident, with a QR code leading you to a guidebook and easy info for wifi access. We loved fishing off the dock, the gorgeous fireplace in the main living room, and a stunning loft where I could work on my novel. There is a varied bookcase full of select authors from several genres. I will definitely consider coming back soon! The place is close to both Perth and Smith Falls, so there are plenty of options for day travel for those who love local shops. Be mindful that the area is woody and rural, so frequent tick checks/ mosquito repellent is a must!

spacious clean apartment with small but full kitchen, comfortable living room and comfortable king bed. a little tricky to find .. house numbers small ... and had a bit of trouble at check in .. but Barbara was very responsive to a phone call and greeted us with the key code we needed to get in. no river view as it was fall but just a short walk from house.

I had a wonderful stay at Beth’s place! The space was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. It felt like a true home away from home. Beth was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful with all the little touches that made the stay even more enjoyable. The location was peaceful and conveniently located. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We had a great stay at the loft. It really felt like a home away from home. They provide everything you might need, and even made us delicious banana bread. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. The house is right downtown and everything is within an easy walk.

We were visiting family in New York and decided to stay at Renee&Desmond's place. The home was easy to find and had all the amenities mentioned in the description. The hosts included places to go around the town and restaurant recommendations. The only thing that I might have overlooked was that it was on the 2nd floor. Overall, it was a positive experience with beautiful views.

Emily was a great host! Very very responsive for our questions, was able to clear a couple things up, and even offered an extended stay! The location is nice, offers basic amenities. Couldn't quite get to the water from the location due to overgrowth, but it was a quick walk across the street to do so. The train going by was loud at times, but that's obviously not the hosts doing! lol. Otherwise, a suitable spot for a place to stay when visiting. :)

Perfect little getaway that my husband and I needed. Not too far from needing to go to town but in the woods enough that it was peaceful. We enjoyed the outdoors, fire by the river, and enjoying the sounds of nature. The screen door for the sliding door was one ofmy favorite things. During the day we used it to listento the rain, birds, and for the nice breeze. It was great to have that scenery while having a cup of coffee and read a book in the morning. Their DVD collection was awesome, nice variety with some great classics. My husband enjoyed a morning run through the area and told me it was the best place he has ran so far. I definitely wasn't expecting there to be any kind of food/seasonings and they had extra things in the cabin which was awesome since I forgot the sugar for my coffee lol. Overall we loved it and plan to do another getaway with them before we move.

Words do no justice for how absolutely incredible our stay at this cabin was! We look forward to returning to our new serene and happy place! It was so much more than we could have imagined inside and out, and the hosts were so thoughtful and accommodating. The entire process was smooth and when we arrived we felt right at home, it was magical! I would recommend this place to anyone who even views this cabin while browsing, you will certainly not regret it! Thank you again, Marcia!

We were very satisfied and comfortable, we loved the Cabin! It's pretty, cozy and brand new!! A good drive to get there from Canton or Potsdam, but it was worth it for us! Close to the main road, even though you have to drive a bit inside the wood, the area was cute to look around. Clear indications and a lot of lights, I really appreciated that!! Prize was reasonable and a lot of stuff provided without extra costs. The hosts are very generous, accommodating and they thought of everything! I was pleasantly surprised, we had everthing we needed. The bed = SO COMFORTABLE! We can put on AC if needed. The sauna is a plus and very cool. I'm very happy I found this Cabin and I will definitely come back when I visit this area again! Thank you again Pearl and Harry :-)

We loved the cabin! Was a beautiful getaway for me and my family. Was just as described. Peaceful and cozy. Loved waking up every morning to watch the birds and overlook the pond. Although it rained the majority of our trip, we still were able to enjoy the outdoors and checked out some spots located in a recommendation book they provided. Was nice to relax in front of the fireplace after a long day. Very friendly and would highly recommend the cabin. Also gave us some homemade jam which was absolutely delicious. Thank you Ron and Cheryl, was a very nice getaway.

Cozy cottage, with great access to Mud Pond! Highly recommend bringing kayaks!

This place was a real gem. Beautiful on the outside and the inside. Super convenient to Clarkson and Potsdam Universities, and would be a short ride to St. Lawrence as well. Just outside of town in Potsdam. Bed was super comfortable, appliances worked well, and shower and bathroom were great as well. It was a little chilly so we were disappointed to not be able to use the balcony porch. Perfect for a couple and great for a family of 3. Would have loved to stay at this place even longer!
