Kawau Island Treehouse

A wonderful summer and winter retreat. There are no roads or shops on Kawau so this is truly a place to get away from it all to relax or explore. The house is perched behind a pohutukawa tree in a quiet and peaceful location right on the waterfront. It is very comfortable, with 3 bedrooms sleeping max 6 and has full whiteware and entertainment amenities. No wifi but very good cellular coverage. Upon booking a full information booklet is supplied regarding getting to Kawau and use of the house.

The West Wing

Quiet rural setting overlooking the Mahurangi River ,Te Kapa inlet and farmland .Lots of native bush and wild bird life . Matakana area has wineries ,restaurants ,art galleries ,beaches ,regional parks and a farmers market . As it is West facing we are often treated to spectacular sunsets. The apartment is spacious with a sitting room and is separated from the main house by a double garage . Suitable for wheelchair users . We are down a 2 km gravel road but the views are worth the drive.

The George Cabin - Kawau Island

A perfect island getaway! Kawau Island -1 hour drive from Auck to Sandspit, a 40 min boat ride to Smelting House Bay. 'The George' is a 5 minute walk from Lidgard Wharf. Come by ferry or your own boat. The George is set amongst the ferns & native flora, getting late morning sun. See wekas and wallabies on your walks. Peaceful and quiet - with microwave, bench oven and fridge. We also have Kawau Cabins (1, 2 and 3) and a sleep out...sleeping 11 total Sorry - no pontoon berthing avail

Sun Trap Apartment, Snells Beach

Your own private self-contained 2 bedroom apartment with own entry access, parking and large deck area with fabulous views across the bay to Kawau Island. It is on the lower level of our home but fully independent from the main house and we are mindful and considerate of your presence. The space is open plan with a lounge, kitchenette and dining, seperate bathroom and 2 bedrooms, one single and one queen. There is one induction cooktop, a microwave, toaster, jug and teas and coffee. 

Braemar Cottage - new, peaceful, stunning views!

Braemar Cottage is a fully self-contained spacious unit in the lovely Snells Beach. It has a gorgeous ocean view over Kawau Bay. Snells Beach is about an hour's north of Auckland and perfect for a quiet relaxed getaway. There are plenty of things to do nearby from visiting charming country cafes and wineries, or shopping at the local farmer's markets, or even taking a day trip to explore Kawau Island. If you want to explore or relax closer to the cottage, the beach is only 500m away.
