Cottage holiday rentals in Boone

Our family was gathering for my Nieces graduation from ETSU and it was our first time being all together in 6 years. The Dogtrot was so spacious in all areas allowing us to be able to play games and eat all together. We even had a competitive game of wiffle ball in yard. We utilized all the amazing amenities the hot tub, sauna, outdoor fireplace and played games at the outdoor table. Oh and I can’t forget the serious matches of ping pong that took place in the enclosed breeze way. We only had a couple of issues the instructions for the wood fired hot tub were no where to be found but Jason responded quickly providing instructions and the oven wouldn’t work which did cause issue with family dinner but again Jason/Brent were very apologetic and worked with us since we ended up having to leave a day early. We hope to come stay again for a longer period of time!

After Hurricane Helen damaged my home, my insurance placed me in Ron’s property and it turned out to be one of the best experiences I’ve had. The home is immaculate, beautifully designed, and fully stocked with everything from cleaning supplies to spices. It truly felt like home. Ron is incredibly kind, responsive, and attentive. He replaced a driveway light and changed the BBQ gas the same day I mentioned them. The house is pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for my daughters, our dog, and our cat. The hot tub, pool table, dart board, and lakefront setting made every day peaceful and fun. It’s rare to find a place this clean, cozy, and well cared for, with hosts who genuinely go above and beyond. We’re so grateful for the comfort and joy this stay brought us during a difficult time. This is a hidden gem I’d recommend to anyone without hesitation. Thank you, Ron, for everything!

Zachary was personable and friendly from the start….even funny. I asked about an early check-in and he accommodated my request without a fee. When looking for an ideal stay, I’m always hoping that I’ll find the kind of hospitable and charming person on the other end that I can whole-heartedly recommend to others. His care and concern comes across in the space: thoughtful, clean, serene, and relaxing. I needed a space that lends toward healing as work. This space can meet many needs for both the spirit and body (since the hot tub is a cure-all!). We saw deer and were delighted with all the moss! Looking to return soon!

The house was amazing! It was perfect for our needs as our son was graduating, and it could accommodate those who made the trip, as we live 10 hours from Johnson City. David and Karen were responsive and accommodating. The extra space of the guest house and game room worked out wonderfully for additional guests and those who wanted to stay up later. Looking for a good workout, the steps up and down to the dock worked! Groceries and shopping are about 10-15 minutes away, and downtown Johnson City is about 20 minutes away. Hiking in Warrior State Park takes about 15-20 minutes, and the Cherokee National Forest Laurel Falls Headtrail is a 30-minute drive. Loved our stay, we would stay again!!

Sweet guest cottage in the mountains. Theme decor is very welcoming and comfortable. Gives rustic chic vibes. Feels spacious. Sofa bed linens and mattress pad made for a v comfortable place to sleep. Two bathrooms and ample hot water and towels. Up a steep hill, choose the one minute longer route up Possum vs Sunset road and it is not as twisty and steep. Probably not a walk to town kind of place due to the hillside perch but close enough that you wont mind the quick drive. We saw deer, bunnies and a bear in the neighborhood. Thoughtful host, lots of nice little touches (S'MORES!!!!).

Place was great. It is a perfect spot for a quiet romantic getaway, very private and relaxing. I do recommend making sure you bring everything you need, grocery/drug stores are about thirty minutes away, but that is a small price to pay for the privacy/peace/quiet that you will get. There are hiking spots galore within a 15-20 minute drive. Not much else I can add. I give it five stars and would highly recommend.

I loved staying in the river cottage! Loved the porch by the river and lots to do in the area. The host was very responsive and check in and out was a breeze. Would highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway!

I had a wonderful stay at Robert's place. Such a beautiful setting. I loved sitting on the deck listening to the creeks. Will definitely stay again when I'm in the area.

Our first ABNB experience and Bill made everything easy. House was perfect for us. We are in our 50s and traveled with my 75yr old mom and too small pups. The house is amazing, clean, quiet area off the main rd. Exactly what we wanted. We will definitely return as my kids and grandkids live up here. Perfect host!

We enjoyed our stay in this cute little cabin. We were sad the weather was too cool to enjoy the screened in porch, because it was a cute little area. This cabin was near the end of the road, so it was quiet. There are places close by, but the thick vegetation makes it feel secluded. This was a great place for a holiday weekend, with places to go and restaurants to eat at within an easy distance.

A little tricky getting there as still some road work from Helene, but well worth it. Very quiet other than the stream and nature noises. Great getaway with lots of hiking trails nearby. Everything you need is there, and beds very comfortable

Wonderful stay in this charming cabin. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was very clean upon arrival. Loved sitting on the front porch amongst the trees enjoying the cool mountain air and hearing the birds chirping while enjoying a cup of coffee. The location cannot be beat. Very easy access to everything Boone and Blowing Rock have to offer. Would definitely stay here again.

Our favorite airbnb of many! Secluded with beautiful creek, large mowed grounds, pond, screened gazebo by creek, big porch facing creek/birds/flowers! Very spacious place With 2 br, 2ba and porches. Could hear creek from inside home and porch. super cozy and felt like home away from home. Hosts were super helpful when we were driving within 9 minutes of the place and got stopped by hurricane damaged railroad track forcing us to turn around with no phone signal or GPS signal. Awesome cookies made a great dinner for us that first night. The home was adorable, uniquely decorated with the host's artistic talents. We highly recommend this affordable paradise and will likely be back!

Very nice cozy little cabin. Great view. Hosts were great. It was a little closer to the highway than expected but it still felt very private at the same time and there was very little road noise at night.. everything else was perfect. Blowing Rock is the best town in the NC mountains (and there are plenty of great towns in the NC mountains). Great restaurants, local shopping and hometown feel. Trails, fishing, golf and centrally located to a lot that the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC has to offer. Highly recommend this airbnb and would go back again.

Bakers cottage was so peaceful. It was nice sitting on porch listening g to the birds and the stream of water. We felt right at home. We left our iron and iron board and they made sure one was there. It was very clean. Tonya was so easy to work with. She made our stay enjoyable with a birthday treat. We will be back because it’s one of the best Airbnb we have stayed in.

We loved our stay at this charming old farmhouse! The property is peaceful, beautifully kept, and surrounded by rolling pasture with cows grazing just beyond the fence—such a calm, grounding view to wake up to. The house itself has a cozy, historic feel with all the essentials, and it’s the perfect base for exploring the area. We went hiking at a Grayson Highlands, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking—truly one of the most picturesque spots I’ve ever been. A perfect stay if you’re looking to unplug and enjoy nature.

We had a great stay in Mountain City! The home was very clean, updated, and had the BEST mountain view out of the sliding glass door! Loved watching the cows, birds, and a woodchuck in the pasture behind the house. Had a couple questions for Audra on our way in and she responded within minutes. Cozy outdoor area with plenty of comfy seating and a cool fire pit. Easy exit instructions. Close to some good hikes and quick access to town. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Lovely little cottage in a holler with creek and privacy. We had some light snow but roads were passable. Great place for small family and close to numerous activities.

The house was beautiful and very clean and stocked with everything needed. If you are looking for a relaxing tranquil stay this is it. We drank our morning coffee sitting by the fire pit listening to sounds of the stream. Amy and Mark are the best hosts and remembered it was our anniversary as mentioned. We loved the fresh eggs, local cheese and crackers. We visited all the local shops and restaurants in West Jefferson which is a short drive away. The best part was our visit to their farm Glendale Ridge. We loved seeing all the alpaca's including a new baby, goats, sheep, and dogs. We will definitely be back to visit soon.

Great stay, we had 8 people and the house was huge! The biggest negative was only one extra bathroom outside of the master. Loved the huge deck and outdoor area downstairs. Would stay again!

Stacey's home was fabulous! This was our families second time here and we can't wait to come back again. We have kids and grandkids in the area and it is perfect for all of us to get together and enjoy the lake and local area. Our son brought his boat and docked it the entire stay. The grandkids had an absolute blast playing in the sand and on the beach. EVERYTHING we needed was provided for the many meals we cooked/grilled. The screened in porch was amazing for the rainy morning we had. If you are looking for a relaxing lake get away, this is it. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us Stacey. It is truly a gem. We can't wait to come back!

Kendra was incredibly welcoming and made us feel comfortable as soon as we arrived. She even brought us fresh eggs on the first day! The cabin was quiet and calming as described. The river was very close by and was great to swim in, while providing background noise if we decided to sit on the hammocks. It was truly the perfect place to relax and reconnect.
