Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Brandon

This space was perfect for our gathering and the details, heritage and character of the home added greatly to the overall experience.

Stacey’s house was very large and spacious. It was my first experience in a very personalized home. A lot of family photos all over the place, fridge half full with condiments, freezer completely full of food. I really felt like I was in someone’s home - it was unlike any other Airbnb experience. Stacey allowed early check in and was extremely responsive. Very lovely person! If you are very sensitive to scents I’d let Stacey know to see if she can use unscented laundry detergent and cleaning supplies. I am very sensitive to scents so I had a migraine the whole time - I might not bother some but it bothered me Very comfy king bed - loved having Apple TV

We very much enjoyed our time here. We had some difficulty checking-in; however resolution with the host was quick. The host gave us the address of a family member in Neepawa (5-10 mins drive) who provided us with the key. Once in the house, we were greeted by a beautiful kitchen and a stunning view of the lake. The house was mostly clean (some dried up food in fridge and on stove. Not a big deal to us. The bed was comfortable in the main guest bedroom. It was made up with sheets, but no duvet or comforter. Again, no big deal, we found a quilt in the closet and slept cozily. The host has a locked bedroom on the main floor, but stays in a suite above the garage while guests are checked-in. We were initially disappointed by the lack of outdoor chairs to enjoy the deck, but when the host arrived, they happily brought some out for us. We very much enjoyed the peace offered by this home and would recommend to anyone seeking a relaxing vacation or needing a place to stay near Neepawa.

Ken and Trudy are wonderful people in a beautiful place. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. As evacuees from the wild fires in northern Manitoba they were very accommodating. They went out of their way to help us. We are forever grateful for their generous hospitality.

Ken’s place was perfect for our cozy weekend lake getaway. With the weather being cold and rainy, the kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking tools we needed to stay inside and the deck is such a great addition to this air bnb. He was also very accommodating when I requested a late checkout. I would stay here again.

The cottage was fantastic and very very clean! There were more amenities than listed/expected - some extra treats! Beds were very comfortable! We slept well, and thats not usually the case when away and sleeping in a different bed, so we were thankful for that! A home away from home feeling! We thoroughly enjoyed the covered deck and bbq area and took full advantage of using it on evenings that we got back early enough from our outdoor adventures (kayaking and hiking). We spend most of our last afternoon and evening on the deck reading and relaxing, it was a a great way to end and enjoy our stay. We had a sense of pride in home and community from our hosts and commication was very friendly, easy and responsive. We were provided with many suggestions on activities, places to visit, eat and shop. We hope to come back again and will definitely stay at Ma & Pa's River Cottage, and highly recommend!!!

This place is a gem. We enjoyed our stay in this spacious place, exceptionally clean space and quiet neighbourhood. The view from the deck is beautiful. We had everything we needed for our 1 month plus stay. The hosts are very responsive and respectful. They were very accommodating if we needed anything and helpful in answering any questions we had. We felt very private. We appreciated the feeling of home, especially when you are away from your own home. The walking trails and Park are a short distance by car or a walk. Having the close proximity to pick up groceries was convenient. Parking is excellent. We will definitely be staying here agin when we return to the Brandon area.

Heathers place was nice and quiet. Perfect for studying. Look forward to returning.

Petrina is an amazing host! She is very friendly, polite, and always willing to help. Staying here felt just like being at home. I highly recommend this place!
