Monthly Rentals in Bridgetown

Jane and Bill are wonderful hosts. They do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They were really responsive without being intrusive. It was an additional bonus that they allowed us to use their lovely swimming pool, especially as we were lucky enough to pick a very warm and sunny week. The cottage is situated in the beautiful grounds of their house, but still very private with its own lovely garden. We would highly recommend staying here and would like to return as some stage.

Shircombe Lodge was a perfect spot to enjoy the countryside and ten minutes drive to our family in Winsford. The scenery is stunning and the lodge very comfortable and tranquil. I will definitely come back when I can. I feel very fortunate to have spent a few days there!

Neither James nor the house can take responsibility for the weather, but what we had was unendingly spectacular. 7 straight days of sunshine while, apparently, it rained in Spain. This is VERY unusual for the area, but really made the moore and farmland surrounding the cottage shine. Even if it had rained and been blustery, the cottage is fitted with an excellent heating system and a wood fire in the living room. Hotwater for the kitchen and bathrooms is prompt and plentiful. Recently renovated with good (rather than cheap) furniture choices made, the house is in great shape. The kitchen was well stocked and while the oven was a bit mysterious to operate, everything worked well. Pastoral by day, truly dark sky by night, and a strong selection of both gastro-pubs and wonderful footpaths on which to reach them right out the door from the property.

Lovely place with absolutely everything you could wish for, including great views of Dunkery Beacon. We enjoyed the delicious cocktails and snacks looking at the sunset then wandered over the road for a slap-up meal at the pub, which was very good value. Great location for mountain biking and exploring the countryside. Charging points available outside the front door for ebikes.
