Cottage holiday rentals in Bristol

Our family was gathering for my Nieces graduation from ETSU and it was our first time being all together in 6 years. The Dogtrot was so spacious in all areas allowing us to be able to play games and eat all together. We even had a competitive game of wiffle ball in yard. We utilized all the amazing amenities the hot tub, sauna, outdoor fireplace and played games at the outdoor table. Oh and I can’t forget the serious matches of ping pong that took place in the enclosed breeze way. We only had a couple of issues the instructions for the wood fired hot tub were no where to be found but Jason responded quickly providing instructions and the oven wouldn’t work which did cause issue with family dinner but again Jason/Brent were very apologetic and worked with us since we ended up having to leave a day early. We hope to come stay again for a longer period of time!

Zachary was personable and friendly from the start….even funny. I asked about an early check-in and he accommodated my request without a fee. When looking for an ideal stay, I’m always hoping that I’ll find the kind of hospitable and charming person on the other end that I can whole-heartedly recommend to others. His care and concern comes across in the space: thoughtful, clean, serene, and relaxing. I needed a space that lends toward healing as work. This space can meet many needs for both the spirit and body (since the hot tub is a cure-all!). We saw deer and were delighted with all the moss! Looking to return soon!

The house was amazing! It was perfect for our needs as our son was graduating, and it could accommodate those who made the trip, as we live 10 hours from Johnson City. David and Karen were responsive and accommodating. The extra space of the guest house and game room worked out wonderfully for additional guests and those who wanted to stay up later. Looking for a good workout, the steps up and down to the dock worked! Groceries and shopping are about 10-15 minutes away, and downtown Johnson City is about 20 minutes away. Hiking in Warrior State Park takes about 15-20 minutes, and the Cherokee National Forest Laurel Falls Headtrail is a 30-minute drive. Loved our stay, we would stay again!!

My husband and I, and our 4 children (ages 4-13), had the best time and made some wonderful memories that will last a lifetime at this gorgeous mountain retreat. The Mountain View’s were breathtaking, the generous porch and comfy patio furniture made it that much more enjoyable. The sauna and hot tub are in a private nook of the lot right next to the house and really make this place feel like your own little resort. At night you can see fire flies from the hot tub! The outdoor fire pit added to the charm and was perfect for a s’mores night! I usually don’t sleep well when we travel but I slept like a baby on the cotton sheets and comfortable mattress in the master. The house had everything listed and more! We’re considering booking for next year already.

Sweet guest cottage in the mountains. Theme decor is very welcoming and comfortable. Gives rustic chic vibes. Feels spacious. Sofa bed linens and mattress pad made for a v comfortable place to sleep. Two bathrooms and ample hot water and towels. Up a steep hill, choose the one minute longer route up Possum vs Sunset road and it is not as twisty and steep. Probably not a walk to town kind of place due to the hillside perch but close enough that you wont mind the quick drive. We saw deer, bunnies and a bear in the neighborhood. Thoughtful host, lots of nice little touches (S'MORES!!!!).

Perfect location! The place was great for my kids and I. My husband is deployed and this was the first trip we have taken without him. We felt very safe in the area. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you for hosting us.

Excellent location for hiking and enjoying the town of Blowing Rock. The view from the property was beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked.

We are extremely pleased that we chose to stay at the Tuscarora for our son’s graduation from ASU. We found the cottage clean, neat, and well appointed, and only minutes from Boone. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Bob's Bridge was absolutely wonderful! We had such a peaceful stay in our beautiful surroundings. Wendy was an absolute wonderful host. She gave us great recommendations on food and things to do during our stay. We cannot wait to come back and stay in the future!

The place was absolutely what we expected. The photos don’t do it justice. It was private, quiet, well maintained with a beautiful sprawling yard and surrounding property. Our doggo absolutely loved running through the field. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us and the dog. All the linens were fresh and smelled great. The seating inside was wonderful for tv time and dinner. Elevation changes are common in the area and we loved to rolling roads and property. The hosts were excellent toward us and we had some good conversation after check in. If we find ourselves back in the area, we will absolutely love the cottage. My wife and I wanted to spend our anniversary away from the busy life. Adam's place on Iola Farms delivered!! It was so peaceful and private. It was everything we imagined and more. The access road is a little bumpy, but if you take it slow and enjoy the scenery, you won't even notice. There were clear instructions to get from the road to the cabin. When we arrived, it was easy to access the cabin. Everything we needed was there for cooking, sleeping, bathing, or just lazing around. There was even fresh charcoal in the grill like they knew we were going to cook steaks our first night. The cell service was very spotty, but the wifi was easy to connect to and worked perfect for wifi calling. There was an information book on the kitchen table full of brochures for activities and restaurants. The Mendota Trail Swinging Bridge was within view of the highest part of the driveway. Bristol was only 35 minutes away. We highly recommend this place for a tranquil retreat and we will be back!!

Our stay at Logan's place was great. Very clean, comfortable, with lots of "extras" and in a great location. The fenced backyard was great for our dog. We loved the front porch for morning coffee and evening drinks. Neighbors were quiet and friendly. Very convenient to shopping and restaurants. We visited neighboring towns and did lots of hiking. We highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay in this cute little cabin. We were sad the weather was too cool to enjoy the screened in porch, because it was a cute little area. This cabin was near the end of the road, so it was quiet. There are places close by, but the thick vegetation makes it feel secluded. This was a great place for a holiday weekend, with places to go and restaurants to eat at within an easy distance.

The attention to detail is immaculate, so clean and such a wonderful spot. Close to the BRP. Goshen Creek right behind it, moo cows in the field nearby. All the amenities you need, the starter stuff you can use, and the wonderful welcoming makes you quite at home! Thanks for allowing us a visit!

A little tricky getting there as still some road work from Helene, but well worth it. Very quiet other than the stream and nature noises. Great getaway with lots of hiking trails nearby. Everything you need is there, and beds very comfortable

We had the best weekend staying at Mamaws house. It was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm touches rekindling memories of our own Grand Parents homes. Every detail, decoration, trinkets, notes etc was thoughtfully arranged, making it feel like we were taking a step back in time, including the floor creaks. Alicia was beyond accommodating, always available for any questions, but also respectful of my privacy. It’s clear they take pride in their space and go above and beyond to ensure guests have an exceptional stay right down to farm fresh eggs and Little Debbie Snack cakes (what visit to Mamaws house isn’t complete without a sweet treat. If you’re looking for a perfect place to stay while visiting the Duffield area, look no further!

Our entire experience was amazing. Darren was extremely helpful and accommodating. The property is beautiful with a lot of things for the whole family. We will definitely be returning for another visit. Darren went above and beyond.

I stayed here for three months as I was looking for a place to relocate and I absolutely loved my stay here! It is a beautiful location, where you can see the lake and so much access to many hiking trails. The Airbnb is adorable and both my dog and I felt right at home. David was an incredible host and was super proactive to seeing what I needed or ways to make my stay better. The day I came was a huge snow storm and I mentioned how my car doesn’t drive well in the snow and he came and completely cleared my parking spot. There was an also a time I had car troubles and he was able to give his trusty mechanic’s number. David went above and beyond in my stay there even offered to grab things while they were closer in town. Some things to be mindful of is the location is a on a busy road and cell service is not great in the area so if you are looking to unplug this is perfect! I would absolutely stay here again and will recommend it to all my family visiting!

Our family had the best time. This trip was one of, if not the best vacations we have ever had. That is in large part thanks to our hosts and their beautiful home! We enjoyed every minute, from booking to checkout. We would visit here again.

My favorite place to unplug!This place has everything you need but you will find the best feature in the back along the creek. You feel like you’re a million miles away! Best medicine ever!

Sarah's place was exactly as pictured. There were many nice touches throughout the cottage...a bottle of wine, a white noise machine, beautiful decor. The beds were comfortable; the shower was hot; the place was super clean. The deck was nice to sit on in the mornings. All instructions were simple and everything was in working order. The location is great; a short drive to Banner Elk and all of the great restaurants/establishments there as well as very close to all that Sugar Mountain has to offer. I would definitely stay at Sarah's place in the future when visiting Banner Elk.
