Family-friendly holiday rentals in Broughton

We booked three barns and the hut for 7 people. It was a work event for two nights and we were able to work outside, enjoy the bbq and enjoy cooking and playing games together. One of the best work trips we had. Thank you.

The White Cottage is a truly magical experience, and combined with Sally’s as the perfect host, we came away from our short break with memories that will last a lifetime. The location is breathtakingly peaceful. A garden within a garden set in landscape where time has good still. The stream that runs through garden is a playground for wildlife and you’ll be sharing your breakfast with ducks and moorhens. If you want a break oozing peace and quiet, a chance to unwind, and forget the day to day life the white cottage has it spades. Sally is a delightful host. Nothing is too much trouble. You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. We loved it

Wow! Our group of 9 ladies have had the most amazing weekend at this lovely property. We loved the warm welcome from the hosts & very much appreciated the goodies left out for us & helpful instructions. We were lucky to have beautiful sunshine, enabling us to make the most of the wonderful garden. We enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and making s’mores in the hobbit hut, as well as yoga on the lawn & watercolour painting under the apple tree - a truly blissful girls’ weekend! The bunnies & Welly the pig were gorgeous! The house was clean & there was plenty of room for the 9 of us, we barely used the lounge and dining room! We also hired the games barn & it was like having our own little pub & a great evening’s entertainment. We would have loved to have stayed longer & tried out the pizza oven. We enjoyed a long walk including the spooky railway tunnel & a great meal over the road at the pub. We couldn’t have asked for more and would love to return! Thank you Hannah & Noel :)

We had a lovely and comfortable stay at Liz's house. She has been very kind and really helped us enjoy our stay at her place. House was clean, communication fluent and the garden is amazing. Our kids loved playing the toys in the house

Absolutely amazing space to get together with friends and family. We stayed for a weekend as a group of 14, 9 adults and 5 kids and we had plenty room for all of us. The place is beautiful, exactly as shown on pictures and the bedrooms/huts are all spacious, clean, warm and comfy. The kitchen is spotless and big and the different areas available to chill in, is a huge plus for this place. Communication was easy and Fred and Charlotte were prompt and friendly in responses. We would all recommend this place and we wish we had longer here, the kids were as gutted as the adults to leave. The hot tub was amazing! 5 stars without doubt and would love to stay again.

Had a fantastic weekend here celebrating for a hen weekend! The place was perfect to accommodate a large group, big enough for communal socialising but also enough private spaces. Cathy was fantastic at communicating and was happy to provide extras where needed. Brilliant location, stunning views and easy to get to Cambridge centre! Would definitely stay here again.

Just got home from a lovely, relaxing stay here. Met up with 5 friends who now live all over the country and this was a great, central location. Tom met us as we arrived and showed us how everything worked. House was clean with some quirky lamps, each bedroom had an en-suite plus kettle and cups. The hot tub was a perfect addition. Lost many an hour chatting away while sat in it. Would definitely stay again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this immaculate home in Oxford. The house is beautifully furnished with a perfect blend of comfort and style—every detail felt thoughtfully curated. The back garden was a real highlight: peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Everything was spotless on arrival, and the host made us feel incredibly welcome. Highly recommend for anyone looking a relaxing and elegant stay in Oxford.

It was beautiful experience. I am so glad I didn't book a hotel room. This stay made our little break unforgettable. Clearly, we had to learn how everything works, get used to boat toilet and switch engine on each time we wanted to make a coffee, but that's exactly what you get on the boat. The location is beautiful, beds comfy and I would like to thank you, Alan for a nice stay.

This was booked a few weeks before we stayed and suited us to the ground. Bicester Village was the perfect place close by to get to Oxford by train. Easy to get to Blenheim Palace for their opening Christmas Weekend and Festival of illuminations. The Property had everything you could wish for, air Fryer, Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher, Fridge etc Christmas really did start early for as we were leaving with over an inch of snow on the Green and then 2 hours driving home in a Blizzard.

Had a really nice stay, perfect area and it was nice to have the sheep and donkeys so close. Lovely and quiet. Will definitely be back Thank you for having us

Niamh is a great host, she’s extremely responsive to messages and made sure everything was clear upon arrival. Her place was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for a short weekend stay. Location is great for the centre of Hitchin too

We had a wonderful stay at Clare’s place. The setting was beautiful, the house was exactly as described, and we all felt very at home there. Clare provided lots of local information which was really useful so that we could make the most of our stay. The village was tranquil and exactly what we were looking for - a local pub within walking distance and some great walks from the house. Clare’s place was clean, homely, and made for an excellent stay which three generations of our family could all enjoy and make memories there. I can certainly see us returning!

Fantastic place to stay, very cosy and comfortable. Comfy beds, modern bathroom, well decked out kitchen, Smart TV with all the apps, loads of storage in the bedrooms, ideal for our family of 4 staying for a week. Great location, on a quiet stretch of road, tucked away and private, but within easy driving distance of amenities. Great base for things to do in the area... Chesham itself is the last stop on the Metropolitan line which is ideal, only 8 mins drive from the cottage and cheap to park for the day. Its also a great spot to get to Harry Potter Warner Studios and Windsor which is why we chose it. Ellen was a fab host, lots of info sent through beforehand and responded quickly. We didn't need to bother her or her family whilst there, but we knew the offer was there if we needed it.

Brilliant location, homely feel and a host that couldn’t have provided for us. From a complimentary breakfast selection of pasty’s, eggs and cereals to a written booklet of places to eat / drink / party in the evening only in a less then 10 minute taxi drive away. Beautiful surrounding scenery with friendly local pubs… Can’t recommend enough.

From 1st contact, Patricia was quick to reply & friendly. Her lodge was spotless and equipped with everything u cld want. Welcome pack of bread / milk etc such a lovely thought. Flowers and plants around the lodge are absolutely beautiful! The park itself is so peaceful. Would definately recommend

We were greeted well upon arrival. They showed and explained everything. We were also lucky to see beautiful peacocks on the territory. The house corresponds to the description and photos. There is a good sauna, a large pool and there is a passage from a small goubina to a large one. The jacuzzi is also large. Everything is clean and neat, we liked it, the child is delighted, we will definitely come again.🙃

We thoroughly enjoyed the house and location. Although not Sians issue, construction near the train station makes it difficult to get into town by taxi because you have to go around the city. However, if you don’t mind walking and bicycling, there are exceptional bike and walking paths right out to the house from Oxford. I’d stay again in a heart beat.

We had such an amazing stay at Magdalen Cottage. It was exactly as described, the views were spectacular, and I'd highly recommend the walks in the guest book. The children absolutely loved the heated swimming pool, playing table tennis and jumping on the trampoline .. great location with easy access to Oxford for fun days out with the kids. A fabulous country cottage within large gardens including a pretty waterlily pond & beautiful wildflower meadow. Lovely views & country walks on the doorstep. Very welcoming, friendly hosts made us feel at home straight away. Idyllic! The bed was super comfy too! We’d definitely recommend this property & stay again. Thank you Karen & Phil

Lovely home, felt very comfortable there- we had 4 children between 4 adults, and it felt like a lived in house- therefore we were not panicked about the children just being children!! The pool was a lovely temperature and our children enjoyed it thoroughly. House nice and warm, kitchen and lounge area which overlooks the swimming pool were a real hub of the home- a very nice space. All in all a great find for when we need to be in Hertfordshire! We would stay again.

Great getaway location on a farm, always at least one friendly horse to greet you on your ways. Gary was very responsive to any odd question we had, the space is well laid out, has great amenities and the outside pool/hot tub are great to relax in.
