Guesthouse holiday rentals in Bruny Island

I often stay at Theo's when I am in Hobart as it's conveniently located and, has a well equipped kitchen with some ingredients / few staples. Specifically, it's close to the mountain and the walking tracks there, you can walk or bus to town, there are two independent grocers very close by, and some good eateries. The unit is basic but good - suits me to a tee. Would be good for up to 3 people

We spent our first child-free weekend in almost two years at Marina and Uwe’s home, and it felt like a grown-up paradise. With no tv, a spectacular view to wake up to, a snuggly bed that was the adult equivalent of a bunk, and surrounded by the warmth of timber we had a relaxed weekend that focused on disconnecting from the frenetic pace of Sydney life. The location was excellent for those with a car and not wanting to stay in the CBD. We hope to be able to visit again.

Mieke’s place was warm and beautiful! The view from the deck area was stunning and all the nature, you definitely didn’t feel like you were 5min away from the CBD. It was fantastic for doggies and felt very safe and secure. Would 1000% recommend this cozy place!

Where to begin. Rob and Susan’s place is so incredibly special. We loved every minute of our stay. The place is so beautiful and such a gorgeous piece of history, we felt so grateful to be there, seeing the Richmond bridge from the window. The location is stunning, and walking distance to all of the sites in Richmond. Rob and Susan are such passionate hosts, and clearly put in so much work to make sure everything is perfect, including the generous breakfast provisions (including freshly baked bread!), the lovely decor and furnishings, and the super impressive DVD collection. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Would love to come back one day.

I booked Natasha’s place for my parents’ 30th wedding anniversary and they absolutely loved it! Natasha was so helpful with arranging the dates they needed to stay, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Stunning location and couldn’t recommend more!

Nestled in a quiet, leafy spot yet close to all the best Hobart has to offer, it was a peaceful and warm retreat after days of exploring. Our host was incredibly welcoming—sharing fascinating local history and giving us great recommendations for places to eat, shop, and explore. We especially loved hearing about the cottage’s past and how lovingly it’s been maintained. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and heartfelt Tasmanian experience. Thank you!

It is a nice, clean, peaceful place to live. The kitchen has everything you need, much happier to spend few nights in that's place.

Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and stocked with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home.

We have stayed in airbnbs for over 10 years and this is hands down the best one we have ever stayed in! Pip & Pete the hosts were so amazingly kind and helpful, facilitated early check ins and late check outs for us and even shared a wine on the balcony with their gorgeous dog Boomer. The place was full of little touches that made our week long stay fly by. The place is magical and so private, perched overlooking mt Wellington amongst the Tassie bush with awesome amenities like a pool, sauna and picturesque tennis court. Couldn’t fault it. Unmissable if you’re travelling to Tassie!

Wendy was incredibly welcoming, providing clear instructions and local tips. The space was spotless, well-furnished, and had thoughtful touches like breakfast, coffee and tea. Its central location made exploring the area convenient, while still offering a quiet, restful environment. I’d highly recommend this Airbnb for anyone looking for comfort and great hospitality.

I’d give this 10 stars if I could. Kaye’s place is, by a wide margin, one of the nicest Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in - well designed, plenty of welcoming amenities, extremely clean, comfortable furniture, and a quiet, peaceful location with standout views of the Hobart bridge. Easy access to the highway for day trips, hiking, 8min from downtown Hobart, walking distance to Bellerive, the Rosny esplanade and lookout… this felt like where I’d live if Hobart was my home. The decks were a welcome addition on days where it was warm enough to be outside; the TV had plenty of great options for streaming when it was rainy & cold. Very highly recommended and I’d absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in Tasmania. Thank you for creating a home away from home!

Right at the start Pete was friendly and made us feel very welcome. The place is super secluded with lots of nature. The cottage was cozy and warm. Our dog had the best time playing in the yard. Highly recommended!!!

The appartment was perfect for our short stay with everything we needed. Lovely view over the river and very clean and modern facilities. Bed was very comfy and the linen etc was first class. Scott was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended!

Really lovely stay at Jude's cottage. We were two friends and it was the perfect size. Beds were comfy with quality linens. Very peaceful and private location with incredible views. And what can I say about the alpaca welcome committee :) Jude left some feed so we could hand feed them each morning. Another highlight was the indoor fire which we used each day. The cottage itself was very warm and cosy. A great place to unwind for a few days. We will definitely be back!

Damien's place is nice, the location is good and very easy to find, the room is large, very comfortable, unfortunately the soundproofing is not very good, I can often hear snoring and footsteps and children's voices in the middle of the night, but the flaws do not cover the good, it is still a very good place

The place was spotless—especially the bed, which was fresh and completely dust-free, making for a very comfortable night’s sleep. Sharon and Andrew provided a beautiful villa, very comfortable and homely. Location made for a perfect base for a couple of nights. Communication was easy. Will definitively be recommending to family and friends travelling in the area.

This is the second time we’ve stayed in this beautiful little Airbnb. We love that it’s spacious, clean and has everything you need. The best part is how close it is to Richmond and the bus stop for a bus into the CBD is just across the road. Thanks for having us again!

Had a great week staying at this lovely little studio in West Hobart. It was very comfortable, looked onto a beautiful garden and the host provided great recommendations for the area. There are nice cafes, restaurants and shops in the area and close enough to walk into central Hobart to explore the city as well.

We were very comfortable and everything was provided. Our only issue was the television. Might I suggest that it is checked prior to guest arriving. Otherwise all good.

Simon's place in Sandy Bay was fantastic. The space itself was large, well furnished, and had all the creature comforts and was exceptionally clean. The location was great. The place was quiet and private. It was close to Hobart and attractions around the city were only a short drive away. Two very minor issues (if you would call them that) were that the bed was a little soft compared to what we're used to, and the sound from movement upstairs could be heard from our accommodation. Overall, it was an excellent apartment and I would recommend to others.
