Holiday rentals with a patio in Buena Vista

This little retreat is so peaceful and serene. It's the perfect place to unplug and just soak up the nature. The apartment was cozy and had all the right touches to make you feel at home.

My husband and I decided to extend our honeymoon stay in the area and the lodging we had been staying at couldn’t host us for the extra day, which is how we came to find this gem! We loved this apartment and wished we could have stayed longer! The location was great and the home itself was just STUNNING. From the low lights & jazz music playing on arrival, to the cute & homey decor, to all the extras (robes, espresso, cozy blankets), this place completely impressed us. Oh, and the outdoor area was just an extra plus! The host was super responsive and sweet and couldn’t have possibly done anything better, it was all perfect! We would 100% recommend this stay and we hope to return for an anniversary trip!

Erin’s place was absolutely excellent for our stay. It was a perfect place to setup for remote work while our son attended at camp at VMI. The town is absolutely amazing with great restaurants everywhere. This place is a definite recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay. I was in town for 10 days for work, and this was exactly what I was looking for. Plenty of room to unpack, to work, to cook/eat, and to hang for a longer stay. Bed was comfortable. Coffee and cream were provided throughout my stay. Hot water and wifi were both great. Kitchen had the basics. It was nice to be able to prepare at least a few breakfasts and save/heat up leftovers a few nights, instead of eating out for every meal. Location can't be beat. It was a 0.5 mile walk to the beautiful park and 0.5 mile to the downtown area with all the restaurants and shops. I walked everywhere! Park has some workout equipment in addition to a 1-mile-ish walking loop that kept me active. Highly recommend this spot for short or long stays. Note that if you are over 5'10", you might not find this a comfortable stay. Ceilings are quite low in spots throughout the apartment. More than fine for me at 5'7" but my 6'2" partner wouldn't have wanted to be there a week!

A very artistic and eclectic space with ample room to manage your life away from home. The location was was very convenient for my needs and would seek out this space to stay at again. Highly recommend this place with an attentive and excellent host.

This is a beautiful home and wonderful location! We stayed for my sister’s graduation. We were welcomed with water bottles, snacks and a lovely home feel. Because of graduation, we didn’t get to hang out as long as we would have, but it was wonderful to see the playground outside the back porch in the distance, have wonderful food in walking distance and the beautiful art alley. Owners were receptive and very friendly. I would love to come back when I have more time to explore.

Donna‘s place was exactly as described! It was just what we are looking for in our weekend away. She even had a basket of goodies for us when we arrived, which was completely unexpected-but very much appreciated. There was a basket of local flyers for us to look at to help find local sights to check out and a fun library of books for all ages and interests. We would definitely recommend this Cozy Cottage apartment!!!

Martha's house is just like the pictures! Immaculately clean, artistic, quirky, and full of personality. Spectacular views. Less than 10 min. to W&L and the heart of Lexington. Martha is incredibly kind and thoughtful, and absolutely communicates well. We arrived late at night, and the keypad checkin was a breeze. Highly, highly recommend!

My son graduated from Liberty University on May 10, 2025. Masters of Clinicl Psychology. The Air BNB was a quiet restful retreat. The cost of other Air BNB closer to the college was more expensive. The cost of two hotel rooms was more expensive. We had room to spread out and enjoy each others company. Thank you Monica. Nora Halberg

Photos can never truly do a place justice—so as stunning as it looks in the pictures, it’s even more breathtaking in person. We needed a spot that could comfortably accommodate six people for my son’s graduation from VMI, and this home was perfect. We brought an air mattress and gave the cozy little alcove room near the main level bathroom to our elderly guest. The upstairs guests sharing the “communal potty” located in the primary bedroom led to plenty of laughs and memories—stories we’ll be telling for years to come! Victoria was wonderfully gracious with the checkout time, as no one was checking in right after us. We’re incredibly grateful for such thoughtful and accommodating hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat away from town to catch up with out-of-town family over coffee in the morning or wine on the deck in the evening, this is absolutely the perfect place to book.

I booked the room with Justin two days before me stay. He was very responsive and answered all my questions. The room was very nice with only issue being I couldn’t get connected to the internet. Other than that it was a great stay. I will be staying there again next time I’m in Lynchburg.

Lovely place, very clean, stylishly decorated. It is roomy and has a fantastic view. Nice outdoor sitting areas. It is secluded. The only problem my family and I ran into was knowing what driveway to turn in. We failed to see a sign that displayed a house number at the end of the driveway. Other than that the house and our stay was outstanding.

Our stay at Manor House was very relaxing and enjoyable. We loved the mountain views and beautiful landscapes of the property. My grandchildren enjoyed fishing in the pond and visiting the peacock and chickens. They totally wore themselves out hiking, swinging and running about. The house was very spacious and comfortable with all accommodations true as listed. We plan on returning in the future. Thank you for sharing this historic paradise!

We can’t say enough about our stay at The Wooder House. The home was perfect for our group of six, giving us all our own space to retreat while also offering large spaces to enjoy meals and movies together. Our kids loved the collections of board games, vinyl records and Calvin & Hobbes books. Everything we needed was readily available and thoughtfully organized, and Amy was such an attentive and kind host for our entire stay. Our visit revolved around hiking in Shenandoah, so the home was a great base camp for our adventures. It’s about a 30 minute drive to the south entrance of the park, and 20 minutes to a variety of breweries, coffee shops and vineyards. We truly can’t wait to visit again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Randolph’s mountain getaway! The space was peaceful, clean, and beautifully located—just the perfect escape from the noise and busyness of everyday life. Randolph was a fantastic host—warm, responsive, and helpful! He made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and offered great local tips in his guidebook. If you're looking for a relaxing, private retreat in the mountains with a thoughtful and welcoming host, this is the place. We’ll definitely be back!

Michael was great! He was very communicative during our stay, and when the Keurig stopped working he was there within 30 mins to bring us a new one. They also left us little goodies for being first time guests. The decorations inside were beautiful, and the beds were super comfortable. We would definitely stay with Micheal again in the future!

Very clean and a great place to sit back and relax after a long day out. The living room features two sliding glass doors with screens, which was perfect for the weather in early-June. That and the covered balcony was where we sat back and relaxed.

Beautiful condo and nice location in Wintergreen. We had everything we needed. Comfy bed and loved the large windows. So much to do in the area. It’s on third floor, so quite a bit of stairs. Would recommend for a wonderful getaway to the Valley.

You don’t need many word for this place because it is STUNNING. Wonderful one day stay but goodness so worth it!
