“Before I get started, let me just say that this place was amazing! It had everything you need to cook, clean, sleep, etc.! Yes, it is very detached from any bigger towns, but that’s exactly what we wanted. There were some issues with the Wi-Fi, but Lila and Aaron did everything they could to help (and very quickly). Obviously, it’s not anything they could control. Overall, amazing vacation. There’s great hikes nearby, I recommend looking at AllTrails app or at what is suggested in the rental. If we ever find ourselves in VT, we will for sure be wanting to stay here again! It was pretty close to Waterbury, Burlington, Newport, and everywhere else we wanted to see. Only about 1-2 hour drive. Anyway, stay here. It’s awesome.”
Bright, airy, private one bedroom apartment in our 1840's farmhouse. Surrounded by craft breweries, farm to table food, cross country & downhill skiing, lakes & mountains, miles of dirt roads, beautiful views -- and only 5 minutes from I-91 and a 5 minute walk to Parker Pie.
“One of my top two Airbnb experiences ever!! My fiance and I stayed for 4 nights, but definitely wanted to be there much longer. This was much different from staying somewhere in a big city, like we're used to, in only the best ways possible. It was almost heartbreaking when we had to leave! The Lodge is a truly beautiful space; the open floorplan main room with tons of windows on three sides was soo nice to relax in on a rainy day. Huge bathroom, comfy bed, tons of extra bedding (and A/C in the bedroom!). The photos do not do this place justice! And Anne and Brian's yard is incredibly beautiful; we were even allowed to take a leisurely picnic lunch next to the pasture fence and say hi to their gorgeous horses!! Their local recommendations were awesome as well. We fell in love with Glover, and Vermont, and I hope the peace we found there will stay with us for a long time 😊”
Have a delightful stay in our well built little studio cottage. Windows on all walls will give you a great view of our Green Mountains! A small kitchenette with electric fry pan, toaster, fridge, crock pot, microwave, coffee maker and a gas grille. We ask that weekend reservations are for 2 nights, unless there is only a single night available.
“I can’t recommend Meryl’s compound enough. We stayed in unit 1, the studio cottage. We were initially concerned about the lack of stove, as we are big cooks, but we quickly learned that the cottage had everything we needed. The cottage and main house sit atop a hill over looking acres of mountains. You get magical sunsets there and beautiful fog and mist if it rains. Meryl was very generous in letting us pick from her veggie garden and bring our small pup along with us. He loved exploring the property and none of us wanted to leave! Meryl’s feels very remote while still being close enough to the town grocery store and other amenities. The trailhead for Mount Pisgah and Lake Willoughby is under 30 min drive and both great activities. I loved this place. Thank you, Meryl!”
