A charming, colourful, country cottage.

This charming colourful  cottage is situated in the centre of the beautiful historic village of Stratton in North Cornwall  a stones throw away from the popular coastal town of Bude. The cottage is called The Lower Ring o’ Bells and as the name suggest it is located right outside the lovely old church of St. Andrew.  The cottage which is almost 400 years old has very recently been renovated and decorated and is absolutely full of character.  Pefect for a couples retreat or young family stay. Whilst only containing one bedroom the house feels extremely spacious as the living room and bedroom are a very generous size. There is also the option of a secondary double bed in the living room in the form of a comfortable sofa bed.  The main bedroom can also accommodate another small child's bed if requested. The house has been kitted out with all “mod cons“ including a fantastic shower, washing machine, high speed broadband and dishwasher to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible.   The village contains superb amenities including a great village shop (open 7 days a week) and two pubs all within 200 yards of the front door. With Bude  being so close the town’s amenities can also be easily taken advantage of.  From the property there are several local walks a favourite being 'the 7 bridges'  which is a river walk which brings you in a nice loop back to the front door.  Things to note Although there is no private parking there is road side parking outside the cottage which is on a first come first served basis, as well as a free carpark within a minutes walk from the property. Unloading suitcases and shopping can be done directly in front of the property before finding parking. The church opposite does have ringing bells that chime throughout the night, most people love this as it is part of the village's charm but if you are a light sleeper then maby bring some ear plugs.

Romany Caravan at Bush Meadows

We offer a unique stay in a traditional Romany caravan furnished with some mod cons to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The caravan has electric stove, lights, television,DVD player and tea making facilities. There is a seperate bathroom with towels, robes and toiletries supplied. There is also a day cabin overlooking the meadow and woodland with a fine array of wildlife to be seen.Enjoy a romantic escape in a peaceful location but close to all amenities with Cornwall's famed coastline, surfing beaches and coastal footpath less than 2 miles away .Half a mile away is the historic Stannery village of Stratton with 2 pubs and a village store. Genuine Cornish pasties are available at the farm shop ,also about half a mile away ,and of course in Bude itself which ,while still retaining the charm of an oldfashioned seaside town ,has shops, restaurants, banks and pubs.We would highly recommend a visit to the nearby picturesque fishing villages of Boscastle and Clovelly.Or for those who may like to venture a little further afield there are the worldwide famed restaurants of Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Newquay and Rick Stein's fish restaurant at Padstow. These are both within easy driving distance ,as is the The Eden Project and Heligan Gardens, two further highlights of this beautiful part of the world.
