House holiday rentals in Calheta

What a wonderful place to stay and for us perfect location to explore beautiful Madeira. 6 of us stayed for 1 week, the accommodation was perfect with various areas to spread out. We spent most of our evenings around the pool side, playing games and soaking up the views. The home has everything a family would need to enjoy your stay. Local shops, cafes and restaurants 10min walk up hill. Fully recommend if you are able to take a 1 day jeep tour of the island as Madeira has some spectacular scenery, valleys, mountains, villages and locations to explore. Contact with the host was effortless and always quick with responding. We loved our stay.

La villa est incroyable, moderne, ultra equipée, dotée d'une piscine hyper agréable et hyper propre. La vue sur le village et la mer est à couper le souffle. Trois nuits merveilleuses passées à Calheta. C'est un bon point de départ pour visiter de nombreux lieux faciles d'accès en voiture. Francisco que je n'ai pas eu le plaisir de rencontrer est très sympa, disponible et aidant. Et merci à Nelia de sa disponibilité et flexibilité. Nous reviendrons!

Das Haus nahe Calheta war perfekt für unseren Aufenthalt! Sehr schön, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und top ausgestattet – es war wirklich an alles gedacht: ein beheizter Pool, Gewürze, Duschgel, Müllbeutel, sogar Waschmittel standen bereit. Das Haus liegt ruhig an einer kleinen Dorfstraße. Es gibt Nachbarn, aber durch die clevere Lage hat man trotzdem viel Privatsphäre und wird nicht eingesehen. Die Aussicht aufs Meer ist traumhaft und lädt zum Verweilen auf der Terrasse ein. Die Lage ist ideal, um die gesamte Insel zu erkunden – mit einem Automatikauto problemlos zu erreichen. Ein besonderes Dankeschön an Elvio: Er war jederzeit erreichbar, super freundlich und hatte großartige Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurants und Strände. Auch ein später Check-out war völlig unkompliziert. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können das Haus nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Such an amazing space! Our family highly enjoyed our stay. The home is more beautiful than the pictures. The pool was lovely and the location was great for hiking as well as trips to Funchal. We would love to come back again!

Le logement était magnifique. Nous avons adoré la décoration et les grandes portes qui apportaient de la luminosité avec une vue sur la belle cours avec la piscine. Nous avons été super bien accueilli par un très bon goûté. Quelle belle attention! Susana nous a également faits plusieurs recommandations de restaurants et la communication était excellente. Il fallait conduire 8 min pour nous rendre au centre-ville. On retrouvait tous les essentiels pour bien cuisiner. Le logement était propre, mais je ne peux passer sous silence la douche. On retrouvait du moisi et personnellement, malgré le parfum qui avait été ajouté, je trouvais que l’odeur d’humidité et de moisi était désagréable. Tout le reste était impeccable!

Villa Panorama is an amazing place to relax and to visit Madeira. The photos reflect well, is very comfortable place, views to the ocean are stunning, and equiped with everything you need. For a family of five, as we are, it was perfect experience. Location, while a little far from Funchal, is well connected and great to visit the multiple amazing locations of the island. There are groceries close by, even in Sunday we could find open places at 6 min from the Villa. Especially great are the hosts. Rui and João Carlos are extremely responsive and friendly, and they make everything easy and well organised. We would definitively come back again and we highly recommend Villa Panorama without doubt.

We loved our two weeks at this location. Superb views over the ocean and the surroundings. All we needed in the house was present and clean. Very peaceful neighbourhood (although we were a little unlucky to have roadworks ongoing). Amazing private pool (with an extra bathroom)! Carolina was super friendly and always available for questions. Would love to stay here again in the future. Highly recommended!!

This place is beautiful and peaceful. It is about an hour drive from Funchal, but there are lots of little towns all along the way. We had a wonderful stay.

Wir hatten einen tollen Zeit in dem Airbnb. Die Aussicht auf das Meer ist toll. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Nur die Reichweite des WLANs könnte verbessert werden, da dieses nicht ins Obergeschoss reicht.

Logement très bien décoré correspondant aux photos. Les hôtes sont extrêmement réactifs et bienveillants. Si vous avez une remarque vous pouvez être sur qu’ils feront tout leur possible pour solutionner cela. Petit bémol sur le chenil qui se trouve certainement de l’autre côté de la vallée car les chiens aboient. Mais cela reste ponctuels environ 3-4 fois par jour pendant 10min, ce n’est pas continue (à l’heure du nourrissage ?). Il y a aussi beaucoup de bêtes qui viennent chaque jours (mille pattes et on a eu quelques cafards). L’appartement était cependant très propre quand on est arrivé. Je pense qu’ils s’introduisent car il y a un espaces entre les portes et le sol. Un joint pourrait peut être aider. Mais cela reste facile à mettre dehors avec une raclette et c’est la campagne c’est compréhensible. Hormis ces petits bémols nous avons adoré notre hébergement et le recommandons d’où le 5 étoiles !

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt. Das Haus ist perfekt ausgestattet, es fehlt wirklich an nichts. Die Aussicht über Calheta ist atemberaubend und der Pool war ein echtes Highlight. Alles war sauber, modern und sehr gepflegt. Absolute Empfehlung – wir kommen gerne wieder!

Je recommande fortement ce logement. Il est très bien situé sur l’île et la vue est incroyable. Le lit est confortable, la cuisine est complète et le tout est très propre. L’extérieur est très bien avec la piscine et le balcon. L’hôte est très gentil. L’entrée dans la cours du logement peut paraître intimidante à première vue, mais il suffit d’une fois pour d’habituer à la monter. L’hôte nous a bien guidé.

Asunto oli siisti ja tasokas. Ympäristö on rauhallinen, vaikka muissa asunnoissa olisi asukkaita. Piha-alue ja puutarha on kaunis yksityiskohtineen. Retriittimäinen hiljainen tunnelma ja näkymät atlantille olivat hurmaavat. Omistajat on ystävällisiä ja auttavaisia.

A casa da Zeza é incrível!!! Tem uma vista muito linda (pro mar) e é bonito, confortável e bem equipado. O jardim é maravilhoso e agradável. Tudo o que você precisa tem dentro da casa! A Zeza nos recepcionou no primeiro dia e foi extremamente simpática e prestativa, nos indicando lugares para visitarmos e nos deu dicas de restaurantes, supermercado e até taxista. Nós amamos muito toda nossa estadia e com certeza recomendamos! Observação: para quem não estiver de carro fica difícil a locomoção pela Ilha. Mas mesmo nós não tendo alugado um, não nos impediu de aproveitar muito.

Wir sind sehr herzlich von Noèlia empfangen worden. Es waren kleine Überraschungen wie Obst,Gebäck und eine Flasche Wein in der Unterkunft. Die Sauberkeit ,die Lage und auch der Ausblick waren großartig! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Madeira ist eine Reise wert! Wir hatten rundum einen hervorragenden,unvergesslichen und entspannten Urlaub!!

Appartement magnifique, très bien équipé. La cuisine dispose de vaisselle suffisante et en bon état d’une cafetière avec capsules à disposition et des épices pour cuisiner. Le linge de maison et de toilette sont également fournis. Il y a également un lave linge. Très appréciable une place de parking réservée. Claudia Luisa a de petites attentions comme nous déposer des fraises du jardin. Elle est très réactive aux messages et ses explications sont claires y compris dans le logement. Et enfin cette vue magnifique depuis le salon et la petite terrasse où nous avons assisté à une partie du feu d’artifice de Funchal. Situation idéale pour visiter l’île. Câmara de Lobos est agréable le soir pour manger sur une terrasse et écouter de la musique.

If you’re looking for a quiet coastal cottage in Madeira this place is perfect. The view is beautiful with restaurants right around the corner. You’re steps away from the beach and beautiful hiking trails. The house is small but well kept and was very comfortable for two guests

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful, modern Airbnb! The apartment is brand new and stylishly furnished, with everything you could possibly need—especially the fully equipped kitchen, which was a dream to cook in. The highlight was definitely the private whirlpool—perfect for relaxing after a long hiking day. We were warmly welcomed by the property manager, Charlene, who allowed us an early check-in and made sure we felt right at home. Both Charlene and the host, Jose, were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The place is also extremely baby-friendly, with a lovely play corner and even a few thoughtful gifts for our 7-month-old baby. We truly appreciated the sweet welcome gifts for us as well.

Pour commencer, je ne mets jamais de 10 parce que la perfection n’existe pas mais je regrette qu’on ne puisse pas donner une note de 9.9 !!! La maison est hyper accueillante et parfaitement équipée. Il y avait même du sel et du poivre, de l’huile et du vinaigre ce qu’on ne trouve plus beaucoup maintenant, plus deux « présents d’accueil », ce qui devient extrêmement rare. Nous avons logé dans la chambre la plus au nord : literie PARFAITE ! (Ce qui devient, aussi, très rare). De plus l’emplacement est idéal pour visiter Madère et les couchers de soleil de début mai (Bon, seulement 5 sur dix soirées à cause du temps curieux) furent magnifiques ! L’aménagement (chambre + dressing + salle de bain) est également parfaitement bien pensé. Le « salon d’hiver » qui permet de prendre le petit-déjeuner et le diner en surplomb de la mer et au chaud est aussi un plus. Contact et réactivité parfaits de l’hôte, même à 6 heures du matin (tempête et coupure d’électricité) !!!. Bref, un excellent séjour

Un véritable petit coin de paradis à Calheta ! Le logement est parfaitement équipé, très propre et confortable, avec tout le nécessaire pour passer un séjour au top. Le gros plus : une vue à couper le souffle sur la mer depuis la terrasse, idéale pour profiter des couchers de soleil ou simplement se détendre. L’hôte a été adorable : disponible, accueillant et très arrangeant. Il est même venu nous chercher pour nous accompagner jusqu’au logement, ce qui a grandement facilité notre arrivée. Une adresse qu’on recommande chaudement pour un séjour paisible et dépaysant à Madère !

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt – wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Leiligheten ligger fredelig og vakkert til. Leiligheten er stor og fin, med masse plass inne og ute. Egen parkering er et pluss. Leiligheten er veldig godt utstyrt, med gode senger og behagelig sengetøy og rikelig med håndklær. Veldig gode instruksjoner om bruk av leiligheten og hvordan betjene TV. Veldig godt utstyrt kjøkken. Leiligheten ligger veldig fint til, med god utsikt og veldig fint uteområde. Leiligheten ligger veldig øde til, så leiebil er et must. Den har et flott bad og et lite men fint toalett i tillegg. Vi var bare 2 gjester, men det går fint å bo 4 personer her. Selv om den ligger øde til, går det fint å finne frem med GPS. Totalt sett en VELDIG fin leilighet dersom du setter pris på å bo utenfor byens støy og bråk, og heller foretrekker natur, utsikt, ro og å bo en plass som er mer ekte Madeira.

Overall we had a great stay (8 nights) at Sofia's apartment. We loved the ocean view and the remote aspect, although the street that leads to it gets very busy (even more than we thought) during the day due to the nearby Anjos waterfall which, on occasion, can make parking a bit difficult (the apartment doesn't come with a parking sport so, as others mentioned, you need to park on the street). The check-in went smooth as the directions Sofia provided us were clear and easy to follow. Inside, the apartment is spacious, the 2 bathrooms were a big plus for us, and it had all the amenities we needed. The bed is very comfortable, though we switched the pillows and used the small pillows from downstairs as the main ones were a bit too big/stiff for us, after this change we slept great every night. The surroundings are silent, the only thing you hear are the ocean and the water running to the next-door banana plantation. We had a great time, Sofia was very kind, and we recommend this house!
