Served at a time of your choosing in the garden lounge (see photos) or in the living room of your apartment. Whatever takes your fancy that day. A selection of pastries and a variety of breads to suit your taste (wholemeal, multigrain, sourdough, corn, nut...). Warm crêpes in the morning. Honey from a local producer, homemade jams (Roussillon apricots, strawberries, pear and ginger), Nutella. Platter of fresh seasonal fruit. Artisanal charcuterie (from local producers and iconic specialities from French regions, sourced directly from producers via Chronofresh): cured and cooked ham, dried duck breast, coppa, goose rillettes, dried pork loin, dry sausage. Assortment of cheeses (purchased directly from producers at local markets or sent directly by Chronofresh): cheeses from Ariège and the Pyrenees, Savoie (direct from the Bauges dairy) and the Basque Country. Assortment of yoghurts and chocolate and fruit-flavoured dairy products. Fruit compotes. Cereals (fruit muesli or according to your preferences). Soft-boiled free-range eggs. And to add a little variety every day... a few extra savoury or sweet gourmet surprises selected for you from quality artisan producers: pastries or other sweet treats, smoked trout or salmon or gravlax, bottarga from Provence (a speciality made from dried fish roe), trout rillettes, trout roe and blinis, dried fish from Provence... Champagne or foie gras from the Gers available to order in advance, at an additional cost. This brunch will no doubt seem far too lavish first thing in the morning, as it does for all my guests! You can then pop whatever takes your fancy into the fridge for your next snack: everything on the buffet is yours to enjoy! Help yourself as much as you like throughout the day... We’d be delighted to personalise your menu before your arrival, so that it best suits your preferences. Breakfast is served from 7.30 am until midday. On departure days, service is available between 7.30 am and 9 am. 2) THE GARDEN: large ORNAMENTAL POND, NORDIC SPA with views of the hills, ROSE GARDEN, PETANQUE COURT. Your private entrance to the house and the sweeping views from your suite look out onto the garden, where you’ll find the ornamental pond, spa, petanque court and garden furniture. --> For those who enjoy games, the PETANQUE COURT (petanque balls and Finnish skittles available). Two garden tables with six chairs, shaded by trees near the petanque court, will add to the comfort of your games. --> Away from the games area, you will find the LARGE ORNAMENTAL POND and its small stream, surrounded by aquatic plants, numerous mature trees and flowers (covering over 70 m², with 11 m³ of water and a 7-metre-long fountain-stream). There, in the shade of a few elms and acacias and an imposing mimosa, two sun loungers and a hanging swing await you, amidst the coolness and soothing lapping of the water. In the clear emerald water, water lilies display their multicoloured blooms. Numerous aquatic plants share the banks and serve as perches for dragonflies: horsetails, rushes, various irises and floating plants. Fortunately, the mosquito larvae are devoured by the many fish, frogs and dragonflies. --> Near the pond, the SKARGARDS NORDIC HOT TUB (Rojal model for 5–7 people), featuring jets and lighting, wood-fired heating and a filtration system. Water disinfection using active oxygen. The spa is surrounded by numerous fragrant rose bushes, and you can enjoy a south-facing view of the Lauragais hills: a truly relaxing experience! After your bath, continue to unwind in a DOUBLE EGG-SHAPED SWING, overlooking the rose bushes and the hills. --> Away from the pool, suspended between two maple trees and close to the boules court, a HAMMOCK FOR 2 PEOPLE awaits you. Feel free to make it comfortable with the cushions from your suite. --> The GARDEN TABLE is housed in a former Lauragais hay barn. I will serve you breakfast there (unless you would prefer to have it indoors in the lounge of your suite). This garden lounge is reserved exclusively for you, and you will find a tabletop fridge and a three-burner gas griddle. As night falls, multicoloured fairy lights create a welcoming open-air café atmosphere. As there is no kitchen (i.e. no sink), we provide all the crockery you need to enjoy evenings of delicious barbecues. No washing up: a proper holiday! Rosemary, thyme, chives and basil are ready to pick straight from the garden, and I’ll be happy to help you prepare marinades for your barbecues. 3) THE SWIMMING POOL: heated in spring and autumn. And in summer if the water temperature drops below 25°C. Behind the imposing Lauragais-style outbuilding that houses your garden furniture lies the POOL AREA, offering a wide, unobstructed and commanding view of the surrounding hills. (8.5 x 4.5 m saltwater pool). Here, the ROCK GARDEN, which overlooks and surrounds the pool, ensures a truly relaxing sense of privacy, wherever you choose to set up your sun loungers. You’ll experience a real change of scenery here, near a dry riverbed surrounded by agaves, cacti and numerous Mediterranean plants. You have several movable parasols at your disposal across the spacious double-terrace area, as well as an egg-shaped swing. You can also settle down on the water and let yourself be rocked on an inflatable mattress or a large rubber ring: pure bliss! But wherever you are by the pool, you’ll enjoy a commanding view over the rolling fields and a real private haven of nature all to yourself, with no neighbours opposite. // PLEASE TAKE NOTE!! IMPORTANT NOTICE to parents of CHILDREN UNDER 12 YEARS OF AGE. It is impossible for a single person to supervise both the large, deep ornamental pond and the swimming pool at the same time: there is no line of sight. There is a real risk of drowning for young children. Furthermore, the pond and stream are artificial (they are lined with a fragile liner). It is not possible to play in them as one would in a natural stream. SUPERVISION of children in the garden is an ABSOLUTE NECESSITY. Please contact me to discuss a potential booking with young children. // 4) ACCOMMODATION, BED & BREAKFAST / GUEST HOUSE, details: In a renovated old farmhouse, 35 minutes from Toulouse city centre and in the peaceful Lauragais hills, you have an 88 m² accommodation: on the first floor, a living room (16 m², excluding staircase space) with a sofa bed (BZ) and access via a staircase to the second floor. On the second floor, a large air-conditioned living room (33 m², portable air conditioner). TV (Canal+, included), 2 double bedrooms (mosquito nets), 1 shower room. Free parking, very quiet surroundings. Shared fitness room (43 m², various equipment). In your living room on the second floor, you will find a TV corner with a sofa, armchair, rocking chair, footstool and coffee table, as well as a large table (breakfast can be served at this table if you do not wish to eat in the garden). This room is equipped with a mini-fridge and a portable air conditioner. In the entrance lounge on the ground floor, there is a sofa bed, offering the natural coolness of a room that is both light and sheltered from the heat thanks to its north-east facing position and the house’s local brick walls. Please note that there is NO KITCHEN in the accommodation; the rental is on a Bed & Breakfast / Guest House basis. However, we will provide you with a gas griddle (3 burners) and the necessary crockery for your barbecue evenings. 5) RESTAURANTS NEAR THE HOUSE: --> For a delightful, simple and spontaneous night out, I’d suggest, for example, one of the delicious set menus at “l’Estanquet” in Gardouch, on their pleasant terrace by the Canal du Midi (photos and menus available online). Closer to here, the restaurants around Lake Thésauque: lovely views from the terrace, varied menus and highly recommended (my guests are happy to return there). --> If you fancy regional cuisine, try “La Ferme de Champreux”, also near Lake Thésauque, just a stone’s throw from here. --> You’ll also find restaurants serving vegetarian menus near Lac de la Thésauque. --> And for the pleasure of eating a pizza that’s truly out of the ordinary… you really must go to Nailloux, to Pizza di Mosca. Over 10 years of proven quality! Please contact me for other places a little further afield... and depending on your preferences, I’ll be happy to help you find what suits you best! 6) OPTION: LIGHTING for the POND, SPA and/or SWIMMING POOL (not included and must be booked in advance) Are you celebrating a special occasion? Create a magical evening atmosphere, worthy of A Midsummer Night’s Dream! (or the more contemporary version of Woody Allen’s comedy...) Located outside a small, quiet hamlet (altitude 800 metres) at the end of a winding road, the south-facing barn enjoys panoramic views of the mountains, and is surrounded by fields and woods - with no vis-à-vis! Entirely renovated using ecological materials, the gîte retains all the charm and authenticity of a Pyrenean dwelling, but with all the comfort of a purpose-built gite. The barn caters to everybody – couples, solos, families with children, and walkers with their four-legged friends.
