Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Calvados

From the beginning a warm welcome from Julie, and a warm feeling when entering the house. A beautiful, cozily furnished house, with all amenities. Located in a quiet, green area. Plenty of privacy, large garden where the children could play. The location of the house is convenient, to combine with trips in Normandy. Such as the landing beaches, Honfleur. We thoroughly enjoyed the house, an experience not to forget!!

Perfect little chalet, close to Cabourg which was perfect for us. Excellent hospitality and cleanliness! The perfect jacuzzi for a good evening. Thanks for the bottle of cider! See you soon!

We had an amazing stay with our young baby at Samuelle's place. The converted farmhouse building has a lot of character but was also modern and comfortable. The lake and ducks outside the door was very relaxing. The location is very quiet and peaceful. A car is essential for getting to local amenities but a large supermarket and a bakery are only a 5 minute drive away. The D Day landing beaches, museums and historic town of Bayeux can be reached within an easy 20 minute drive. Samuelle was a great host, she was very friendly and always able to help with any questions.

What a treat! It is absolutely beautiful here! It feels like you’re stepping into a movie. We loved walking around and looking at the grounds and I wish we had more time to go on all of the trails and paths that were mapped out for us. We felt right at home immediately and I can’t state enough how beautiful this space is. The beds are very comfortable and the only sounds you hear are birds chirping.

We had a great week at this place. The whole place matched the photos, whether it was the interior or the relaxing view of the sea. The bedding is good quality and the accommodation is worth the asking price. The host was discreet throughout the stay (unless we needed her by message), we just met her for the key handover before our departure. She is kind and smiling. We highly recommend this accommodation and we will come back if we have the opportunity to visit Normandy.

The cottage is perfect for a quiet stay with children. How nice to see horses! We were very well received, we even had the chance to see a foal of a few hours. The dog, Pepito, is so sweet. The gite is located a few kilometers from a beautiful pedagogical farmhouse.

Such a beautiful stay at Evelyne’s place. Gite is exactly like the photos and the garden and pool area is stunning.

When I arrived, the accommodation was impeccable: clean, tidy and perfectly in line with the description. Everything you need is in the apartment, which makes it very convenient and comfortable. The location is ideal, with many activities and restaurants nearby, not to mention the beach close 🏖️ by! Fanny and Julien are available if needed, which is really reassuring. As others have mentioned this is an excellent holiday flat and superb base from which to explore Normandy and the beautiful city of Caen. The flat is clean, comfortable and is very well equipped for self-catering though the nearby town center bars and restaurants may tempt you out at little more that you planned. Highlights include secure and convenient parking, excellent bathroom and shower, comfortable bed and the bonus of a lovely private garden to kick back while sampling the local calvados in the evening. As mentioned the flat is very central with a five minute walk into the center for fresh bread and croissants in the morning. Caen itself is full of surprises with beautiful churches and abbeys combined with a very laid back atmosphere. Though we did not meet Christine her ongoing communication was both discrete and charming. Book you wont regret it. 5 stars all round

Very nice apartment on the 3rd floor. Nice view of the beach. Marked parking for the apartment right in front of the house. Merci to Pauline. She is a good host and was very helpful. We will be happy to come back.

Karine is very gracious and warm. She even picked us up from the train station and also took us to the bus stop for the onward journey. From almost all places in the apartment you can see the sea. It is very special to see the sunset from the balcony or even from the bed. In the apartment there is everything you need. It didn't bother us that there is no closet, just chests of drawers. Even tennis can be played within the residential complex. We had a great time with many long beach walks.

Alison has a few gites available and mine was absolutely perfect. I wanted piece and quiet and wasn't disappointed. I didn't explore beyond the gardens apart from a trip to get groceries. The garden is full of flowers and is beautiful. Alison is English so communication was excellent for me and I believe she's fluent in French too. I wouldn't hesitate rebooking this gite in the future.

We had a great weekend at Frédéric's, the apartment is modern, well laid out, well stocked, nothing was missing! And what about the exceptional location with this balcony and its sea view. All this just a stone's throw from the center. Frédéric always responded very quickly and was very accommodating. We were greeted by Michel on arrival who was very welcoming. We'll be happy to go back!

Good location in the centre of town close to everything (including Juno Beach Centre). On the third floor so lots of stair climbing. Apartment is small but cute and the sofa bed is very comfortable.

Beautiful views and well-catered. Check in was easy with Katrin who spoke very good English, which was good because our French isn't great! Cabourg itself is lovely and only a 5-10 min walk away.

What's the best way to describe feeling like a princess in an Airbnb accommodation?🥰 Built in 1899, Villa La Sapinière is quietly located in the immediate vicinity of the beach. Anne had already sent us detailed information about the exact location of the apartment before our arrival. There was also a useful manual in the apartment. Upon entering the apartment, we immediately noticed a very pleasant scent and the hand soap also smelled very good. For our dog, a towel was ready under the stairs in the entrance area, which we appreciated very much, as it had just rained heavily. Orange juice and water were waiting for us in the refrigerator. The apartment is a beautiful, bright studio with perfectly coordinated, very tasteful furnishings. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bedroom with the carpet was incredibly cozy. We are already looking forward to our next stay there. Thank you❤, Anne!

Accommodation completely compliant and even beyond, David thought of a whole bunch of very practical small equipment. Ideally located, with your feet in the water! Quiet! And top-notch bedding (which is rare on a sofa). Would definitely stay again.
