House holiday rentals in Cambres

Lisbon was nice, but our vacation started here. Having this beautiful home and a car, we explored the region and had a great time. Owners recommendations led to our favorites experiences on the trip. Can't recommend enough. The pics don't do it justice either, and the pics are amazing.

If you are looking for a relaxing and unique stay - I could not recommend more. We had been dreaming of coming here for years and finally got round to it…we had the best time! From sunbathing and relaxing in the private pool, cooking homemade meals (including lots of lemons!) in the fully equipped kitchen, walking around the lemon farm and stroking the beautiful horses… to visiting nearby city of Porto, Quinta Da Aveleda wineary/vineyard, hiking Boneca Swing trail with views of Duoro Valley/River and nearby beaches … so much peace, so much to see, so many unique experiences. Jorge is clearly a thoughtful businessman who has crafted something special and this now extends to the Oporto collection including his homemade limoncello - we took a bottle home as a souvenir. Jorge was always friendly, responsive and helpful. Communication was seamless. We travel very often but this is one of, if not THE best place we’ve ever been. It is truly special. My only suggestion is a cover for the pool

Very nice accommodation. Well located in the heart of the village, with magnificent views of the hills. 3 beautiful spacious bedrooms, large living room and dining room. The entire place is 150 m². Very pleasant and well exposed pool. Bernardina and her husband are very welcoming and very available hosts. We spent five wonderful days in this beautiful area. We recommend this place to stay without reservation.

A great start to our holiday even if the weather gods weren’t quite playing ball, the house was a great place to relax in. The pool is a great size and the farm around the property is nice.

Do not hesitate to book here! Great host, excellent amenities, unreal views! Make sure you have a car and you’ll have the perfect stay! :-)

Mario and Cila’s home was one of the most beautiful I have stayed out. The house was an old olive oil mill, converted into a modern paradise. They thoughtfully incorporated the property’s history into the renovation. The home is beautiful but the grounds are next level! There is a running stream running along side and under the house with lush grounds and a wonderful pool. There is also a walking path to a little park with a waterfall! Super peaceful property. If you are looking for a getaway, look no further! Mario and Cila are super kind, gracious hosts! They welcomed us themselves and proactively provided tips and recommendations. Super appreciative of their hospitality.

Maria's home is a hidden gem! It is an absolutely beautiful location. The views do not even seem real; the photos do not do it justice. You are nestled in the valley and feel like part of nature. The home itself is so cozy, kitchen with everything you could ever need, and a cozy sitting area. There are large windows all across the valley view side of the house, so you can literally see the gorgeous view from wherever you are. The outside area is equally beautiful. I saved the best for last: the unbelievable hospitality of our hosts. I have never met such kind people. From the welcome upon our arrival, to the communication we had through messaging, we were met with nothing but extreme kindness. Thank you so much, Maria and Maria!! You have my highest recommendation.

We spent a few wonderful days in this house and were absolutely delighted! The house is very clean, well maintained and cozy, you can see that it is really taken care of. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail — there were many useful things in the house that made life more comfortable and convenient. A special pleasure is the spacious terrace with a stunning view. In the mornings, we had breakfast outdoors, enjoying the silence and beauty around. Everything around was very quiet and peaceful — the perfect place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. Hosts are a special thank you! Very friendly, attentive and always ready to help. It was easy and pleasant to communicate with them. This house has become a real cozy corner for us, and we will be happy to come back again!

We loved this studio (quite large anyway) perched on the heights with a GREAT VIEW Cecilia's jam, and their porto a delight I highly recommend it for a quiet stay and enjoy the region and its landscapes as it should be!

The view here is incomparable! The views over the Duoro River are amazing. It’s so close to wineries and winery tours too. There’s a supermarket close by with all you’ll need. It was hot the day we arrived and the pool overlooking the valley was pristine and oh so refreshing! Our host did a great job of communicating and made us feel right at home. I could have stayed here a lot longer!

Henrique is an amazing host and responds quickly to questions. Great dinner suggestions and the food was fabulous! Would absolutely stay here again. The view from the house is spectacular!

Smooth self-service check in and out. Excellent location close to all restaurants, train station and historical pedestrian bridge across the river. Railway is right by the house, but it didn't bother us because trains didn't operate at night. Host recommended a free parking nearby, which was helpful. Host was very responsive, and they provided a carafe of a tasty local port wine, bottled water and cookies for us to have on arrival, a really nice touch. Apartment is fully equipped with everything we needed to spend time in Douro. Highly recommended!

This is the second year we have visited this place. There is something magical about it and, especially for those who work in the city, it is the perfect place to disconnect. It gives us health and makes us dream. I highlight once again the pool and the view. Waking up with a view of the valley is sensational. The house has all the conveniences and is very well equipped. The space is clean and very welcoming. I hope to come back next year.

What an incredible place! This would have to be one of the best Airbnb I have stay at! It was absolutely stunning and had everything we needed. Daniela was the most incredible host. Not only did she give us incredible suggestions, she helped book a few things for us. She went out of her way constantly to make sure we were able to enjoy the area. She made our experience in the Duo Valley incredible and very memorable.

Amazing location with incredible views. Beautiful property with great interior design and well chosen artwork, sympathetic to the original school. Thanks to Tania and Carla for the care and attention and for the outstanding breakfast each day. And for doing a shop for us on the first day before our arrival. We would definitely recommend the chef at home meal. Great food and service by the guys with traditional Portuguese dishes on offer. Fantastic stay; we didn’t want to leave….ever! Outstanding! Our stay was perfect. Teresa and Jorge are wonderful hosts, who have pampered us throughout our stay. They are always available and looking to satisfy any wishes or needs we may have. The house is really unique and special, full of history and beautiful decoration, antiques and exquisite details. Children and adults have been so comfortable with the pool, the weather, the barbecue, the outdoor furniture,... that we have enjoyed the house more than the obligatory tourist visits to the city and the area. 100% Recommended

A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. Beautiful house in a sleepy village, perfect for chilling and as a base for exploring the region.

Quiet location (which was what we wanted), excellent house, views, spacious (inside and outside/garden), lots of extras/gifts from the host, who was impeccable. I recommend it and we'll possibly return with warmer temperatures.

Excellent space, central and close to everything, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay! Extremely helpful host! I recommend it! We'll be back for sure!
