Chalet Salamandre

Enjoy the peace, the view and the comfort of this stylish chalet. Very suitable as a romantic getaway or relaxing in nature with your family. We are at 650 meters altitude, in a hot summer it is always a little cooler than in the valley and with a breeze, very pleasant. At night, the lake cools down and it's a good night's sleep. We don't need air conditioning. Dogs are welcome, €15 per stay. For the winter months there is a wood stove. The firewood is not included in the rental.

In the surrounding area, 3 lakes for swimming and the gorges of the Aude (canoe, kayak, raft). Bars, restaurants, supermarket 8 km away.

To make the most of your stay, here is a list of must-see places to visit near the gîte: Rennes le Château, Rennes les Bains, Pic de Bugarach, Vulture Observatory, Gorges de Galamus, the medieval city of Carcassonne. 1h30 from the beaches and 3/4h from the ski slopes in the Pyrenees. Lakes and swimming in the villages of Puivert and Quillan. Hiking and cycling enthusiasts, lots of marked trails.

The village itself is quite remote, being 30 minutes by car from the nearest grocery shops. Our guests enjoy the tranquility of village life and the beautiful scenery.
