“Peter is a friendly host and the house is spotless. The place is easy to find and buses run regularly if you don't fancy the walk. Peter responds quickly to questions and I felt comfortable making hot drinks and cooking in the kitchen.”
My cosy cabin sits in the grounds of a beautiful 16th century cottage, The Old Post Office. The space is compact, well appointed, all you need for a comfortable stay. There's a pub opposite the cabin that also serves breakfast. It is the perfect place to stay to visit Glyndebourne, explore the lovely town of Lewes or go for walks in the downs. The seven sisters and Birling Gap are definitely worth a visit!
“A very comfortable spacious double bed, a perfect size kitchenette area with tea and coffee provided. Perfect for cooking for a cosy night in. The bathroom was lovely with a huge shower with soaps and gels provided. Lovely location setting and only a 10 min walk to the station if needed. Shall definitely be returning. Thank you Heleen.”

Beds are fully made up using professionally laundered, crisp white bed linen, sumptuous mattress toppers, cosy duvets and guests have a choice of pillows.
“I extended my stay here when I fell ill and had to self isolate. John and Emma were wonderful, buying my groceries and taking parcels for me during this week. John even brought me back a big bag of goodies from Waitrose which is a long way away from the house. This place is perfect for the Covid 19 times we are living in, the sea is right across the road outside the front door, and so I was able to go out, sit by the shore and get lots of fresh air and sunshine. The flat has everything you need for self-catering, so I baked a cake and cooked meals for myself all through the week. The wifi is good too, so I can relax and watch videos online. I have extended my stay beyond my self-isolation week as I now can't go back to London. I have respiratory problems and so I have a high risk of catching the virus. It effectively means I am stuck in Eastbourne, but what a wonderful place to be stuck in! John has given me a discount for my extended stay, an incredibly kind gesture.”
