Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Caniço

Amazing view, nice and clean, looked exactly like the photos. Nice touches with the Madeira wine, bananas and coffee pods. Well fit out kitchen. Would stay here again if I’m ever back in Madeira!

Overall 10/10. Nice place, everything as described and one of the best places we rented.

Wij (twee stellen) hadden een heerlijke week in dit prachtige huis. Het huis is ietsjes ruimer dan we dachten. Mooi uitzicht. Heerlijk zwembad. Op deze helling weleens wolken waardoor de zon zich niet altijd liet zien. Voor restaurantjes moet je wel de auto nemen. Hosts reageerden altijd snel op een bericht van ons. Al met al een aanrader!

We absolutely loved being right on the ocean! It was within feet of the house!- with the waves crashing and the patio where we ate all our meals, provided an excellent ambiance for our trip. We stayed 6 nights and were so glad we didn’t move around to other places. The promenade next to the house is very scenic and offered a one mile round trip walk along the ocean . Watching the surfers was also a plus.

Maison familiale, agréable dans un très joli village au calme sans voiture. Nous sommes tombés sous le charme de Jardim do mar, ses petites ruelles avec ses jardins typiques ! Merci Sofia, nous étions comme à la maison 😊🙏

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad met zijn vijven. Het ontbrak aan niets, werkelijk alles was aanwezig (zelfs een kaasschaaf, fijn voor een Nederlander😅). Ook een heerlijke buitenruimte met voldoende meubilair voor ons allen. Een aanrader. Ik zou graag nog eens komen.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at BHF Residence. Odette was a wonderful host, checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and responding immediately to a mix up with our keys. The residence is located in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood with a view of the ocean, and easy access to restaurants and stores as well as some of the better hiking trails. The layout of the house is perfect for two couples, had all the amenities one would want and everything was super clean. Would highly recommend staying here.

Die Unterkunft war sehr gepflegt, ordentlich und auf einem modernen Standard. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und für den Preis super! Wie haben sehr leicht zu dem Haus gefunden, es gibt direkt ein kostenloser Parkplatz vorhanden und gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten um die Ecke. Auch kommt mein leicht zu Restaurants und dem Strand. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und schnell. Alles in allem eine Empfehlung!

WOW! The view alone was worth the money. It’s hard to stress how amazing it was to sit outside every morning and evening and enjoy the view. Inside was also very well decorated and very clean. The area was quiet and felt safe. Not a huge deal, but the bathroom only came with one role of toilet paper. Other than that inconvenience, the service was incredible. Our host gave us so many local recommendations.

Uitstekend verblijf. Goede locatie als uitvalsbasis. Het restaurant is erg lekker en biedt een meerwaarde aan de accommodatie. Een prachtige locatie met oog voor detail.

We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad op Madeira. Prachtig eiland,heel veel te doen. Appartement was super schoon. Fantastisch uitzicht. Claudia is een geweldige host die ons helemaal thuis heeft laten voelen. Ze stond altijd klaar voor vragen en advies. Raden Smiling Petals ook aan voor een perfecte vakantie op dit mooie eiland.

Very nice clean studio with a little kitchen with all amenities. Beautiful views from the balcony to the ocean and a part of the city. Calm. Elisabete was very friendly and responsive .

Beautiful and very secluded place. The view from the house is amazing & the garden was so beautiful to relax in. The house itself was great. Kitchen wasn’t huge but we made it work - only difficulty was opening the oven door and getting stuff out when it’s so close to the fridge. The road up to the place was very steep and winding, but we managed fine in our car rental. It was tricky parking on the drive so we opted to park across the road instead which was absolutely fine. The home isn’t in walking distance to anything but it was nice to have dinner and the evening at the Airbnb, to enjoy the space :) Would defo stay here again.

Richard hat uns herzlich empfangen und die Unterkunft gezeigt, sowie Tipps für Ausflüge geben. Es hatte einen Ordner mit weiteren Infos und Tipps in der Unterkunft. Er war immer gut erreichbar und hat sofort geantwortet. Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenhalt. Das Haus sieht aus wie auf den Bildern und alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt.

Die Unterkunft ist fantastisch. Sieht in echt noch besser aus, als auf den Bildern. Besonders gut hat uns gefallen, dass die Wohnung so gut ausgestattet war. Auch die Umgebung ist super! Viele Restaurants, Bars, Cafés, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten etc. Die Kommunikation mit Catherine war sehr einfach und sie war immer schnell erreichbar. Ich kann die Unterkunft zu 100% weiterempfehlen und würde sie jederzeit wieder buchen :-)

We stayed in this apartment as a family of four, and it offered plenty of space and comfort. Amenities like the washing machine, dishwasher, and fast internet made our stay especially convenient. The location is excellent—close to Funchal and attractions on Madeira’s eastern side—and although the apartment faces a busy road, noise was minimal at night. We would happily stay here again.

Our first visit to Madeira and we had a great time. The villa is immaculate, plenty space, very clean and comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. It’s in a great location to explore Funchal and the wider island. There’s quite a hill to climb on the way back up from the town but it was manageable for a group of 65-75 year olds. And if you decide not to walk Bolt taxis are easily available and not expensive. Nuno and Rubina are excellent hosts. Nuno had sent us lots of information before our trip. Very helpful as we were only there for a week so could make some plans in advance. He came to meet us when we arrived to show us where everything was. Any questions were answered quickly with helpful replies. All of the things Nuno suggested that we tried were very good. I would add an evening at Sabor a Fado to his list of places to try. We had a great night there, but it’s a small place so definitely book. I would highly recommend a stay at Nuno and Rubina’s. Excellent!

Nos recibió Mariana y fue muy agradable y atenta. Nos recomendó lugares y cosas que hacer por la zona según lo que fueras buscando. El alojamiento es muy amplio y cómodo. Una experiencia excelente.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Susana. Le logement est super, la vue magnifique, et très bien placé pour rayonner aux 4 coins de l'île. Calme tout en étant proche de Funchal. Le parking est un indispensable. La communication avec Susana a été très fluide et agréable, nous avons également eu l'occasion de croiser son mari à plusieurs reprises lors de notre séjour qui a été très sympathique et nous a donné de bons conseils outre un accueil chaleureux. Merci pour les fruits qui étaient excellents ! Nous recommandons ce logement à 100%!

Wir haben und in der Unterkunft sehr wohlgefühlt. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Maria empfangen und auch wieder verabschiedet. 🤗 Die Kommunikation mit Mário lief auch super, er war immer erreichbar und hat sich auch während unseres Aufenthalts mehrmals nach uns erkundigt. 👍🏼 Auch die Lage der Wohnung ist top. Man hat einen wunderschönen Ausblick und kann Madeira von dort aus gut erkunden 🤗 Ansonsten war die Wohnung mit allem ausgestattet, was wir benötigt haben. Wie können sie sehr weiterempfehlen. Wenn wir mal wieder aus Madeira sind, wäre das unsere erste Anlaufstelle. 🫶🏼

Orlandina is a fantastic host, always quick to respond and providing all the necessary information well in advance. I felt very welcomed, and the apartment offers a stunning view. I never had any trouble finding parking and always felt secure in the area. Additionally, there was no noise from the neighbors. I would highly recommend Orlandina as a host.

Unser Aufenthalt war wirklich schön. Die Unterkunft entsprach genau der Beschreibung und den Fotos. Julien war ein sehr netter kommunikativer Gastgeber, der gute Tipps für die Insel gegeben hat. Das Appartement ist großzügig, sauber und ist gut ausgestattet. Die Straße zur Unterkunft ist ziemlich steil. Man sollte daher ein entsprechendes Auto mieten. In der Nähe zur Unterkunft gibt es eine Baustelle, die gelegentlich zu hören ist. Dies hat unserem Aufenthalt aber nicht wesentlich gestört, da wir tagsüber unterwegs waren. Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiter empfehlen.

We truly had the best time staying at João’s place in Madeira. My only regret is that we didn’t book our stay for longer! Ricardo gave us amazing restaurant recommendations in Funchal and tons of great recs for things to do on the island. The beautiful balcony was my favorite place to start the day and end it with a glass of wine after exploring. They welcomed us early and were so friendly - showing us around the place and making us feel at home (the welcome wine was amazing)! I’m already wishing we were back in Madeira - can’t wait to come back :) Cheers, Ali
