Adventure around NC then come back and relax in your stylish, amenity-jam-packed, bohemian log cabin on 2 acres with mountain views, a large babbling creek running through the property. The quaint town of Canton is ~20 mins to Asheville and ~35 mins to Cataloochee Ski Resort and an abundance of hikes/waterfalls within an hour. Bring out the yoga mats for a relaxing meditation or fun workout, roast some s'mores over the outdoor firepit sat right next to the creek or go for a game of air-hockey!

Your stay at Red Cottage will be comfortable, easily accessible, and minutes away from Canton, Waynesville, and Maggie Valley. The circa 1950’s Cottage is fully renovated inside and out. Beautiful front porch and lovely sitting area in the rear of the Cottage. We are climate controlled with a mini split HVAC to keep you toasty warm in spring, fall, and winter and comfortably cool in the summer. Internet access and TVs in the living room and master bedroom. Washer and dryer included. Welcome!

The Cottage @ Nelson's Nest is a cozy, private cottage located on our family homestead. Guests enjoy their own driveway, entrance, patio, yard, gazebo and firepit. We are located just off I-40 exit 31 in Canton. Our town is a historical milltown with easy access to Asheville, Waynesville, Maggie Valley, Cherokee, and Tennessee. While you are here you can enjoy beautiful mountain views and our goats, llama and chickens roaming through the pasture. We would love to share our cottage with you.

There is a queen bed; single bed added upon request. Mini-fridge, microwave; coffee maker, coffee and tea provided. Within minutes of the Blue Ridge Parkway, 30 minutes from Asheville, 40 minutes to Brevard, the land of waterfalls. Off street parking with plenty of room should you need space for a trailer.

Great for small groups.. plenty of places to enjoy the beautiful natural setting. Coffee by the river, float on a tube, soak in the hot tub, grill out, have a fire. Sleep to the sounds of the river. This is a great little efficiency by the river that offers a great porch overlooking the Pigeon River. This is the perfect getaway for two, in the mountains of Western North Carolina, who want somewhere to stay that is affordable but with all the amenities. We are located approximately 20 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 20 minutes to the quaint town of Waynesville and 3 miles from Springdale at Cold Mountain Golf course. Asheville is a 30 minute drive.
