Lovely condo. Had everything. Conveniently located. Beautiful view. Several outdoor seating areas which we loved. We would highly recommend this to anyone!

This was a perfect week long retreat for our summer vacation. We spent most of our time enjoying the kitchen, screened in porch, and the pool! Just a short trip to town, it’s easy to get groceries and the kitchen in well equipped for cooking! We were in the pool everyday and felt so relaxed and at ease in the beautiful home and peaceful scenery! Peter, who stopped by mid-week was lovely and helpful. Completely recommend for a week away!

This is a great place to relax! Extremely quiet, spectacular view and plenty of space for a family of 4 to 6 to spread out and chill. The private beach is a nice added touch and Baddeck is only a 2 minute drive, but I wouldn’t walk there, cars drive a little fast down that road and there’s no sidewalk. Tyler was a great host, explained everything perfectly, right down to recommending water shoes for the private beach ( which we had). There’s also a nice listing of local places and lots of brochures so you can find stuff to do. It was ~25 degrees when we stayed and it gets nice and cool at night so not having A/C isn’t a problem. There are so many windows that open in so many directions, you’ll catch a breeze.

This was our second stay at Lenna's lovely, cozy private home. The home was perfect–private and peaceful, but within 10 minutes of everything you need. A great place to come home to after exploring Sydney and Cape Breton Island.

I spent blissfully quiet nights with beautiful sunsets on this property. What a privilege to be able to use the private beach! The apartment itself is spotlessly clean and homey with all amenities you can think of. Sidney/Baddeck are only 30min away, location is ideal for day trips around Cape Breton (eg Cabot Trail). Elsie and her family were lovely. 100% recommend!

We all enjoyed having a coffee on the front porch overlooking the harbour with the Island Princess in port. The hot tub on the back deck was awesome. Jennifer was responsive to text messages and was proactive when we experienced a minor issue with the Wi-Fi internet. The house inside was clean and in good order. It is 5 mins away from the Canadian Coast Guard College .I would recommend staying at the Harbourview Retreat.

Our time in Cape Breton was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the peace and tranquility of the area. Surrounded by nature, it was a place where we could relax and recharge, while still being close enough to explore all that Cape Breton has to offer. Heather went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect for us. Whether you're looking for a peaceful getaway or a place to stay with all the comforts of home, this house in Cape Breton is an absolute gem. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to escape to a beautiful, quiet corner of the world!

Casa Character was as welcoming as the hosts Craig and Melissa. They have created a perfect home away from home. Their attention to detail on instructions were very helpful. Quiet, mature neighborhood and 5 mins to everything you could possible need. Highly recommend and definitely 5+ stars Thanks Again

This place was in top-notch shape and had most of the amenities we expected. The only drawback is that for the price we paid, a second bathroom is something we would expect in a place that can accommodate six people. We did fine, but it was harder to get out quickly in the morning with only one bathroom and five people. Appreciated the excellent laundry facilities. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time. The cottage was perfect for us and very accessible to everything we wanted to see and do. Baddeck is a great town. And we even learned how to pronounce it correctly!

From booking to check out we had a fantastic experience. Robbie was very responsive to my messages, made some great local recommendations and even had a little welcome treat bowl for us. The home was cozy, well kept, very clean and beautifully decorated.

Loved it. Very nice people who own the home and it shows in everything in the home. So spotless and new . Everything there that you would need. Will be coming back. Was there for my mom's funeral and could not have found a better place to stay.

we had a girls trip to Lisa's property and it was above and beyond our expectations ! breath taking views, tons of room in the house .

The house is modern and lovely with large windows and a deck looking out on the water. The house is large and filled with light, it’s clean and attractive and comfortable. The host John is highly responsive, answers all questions very quickly. It is 1 mile from town which makes it very convenient, and it is also very private and quiet.

We had a wonderful stay at Ann’s place, the location was beautiful and Ann was very easy to communicate with! Would stay again

Big Harbour Hideaway is situated on an inlet of the Bras D’Or Lake with little boating activity so it was quiet. The dock is very solid and does not move with the tide, there were four Adirondack chairs on the dock with a few more available near by. Across the inlet is a really nice view of gypsum cliffs. There were bald eagles and even a seal! The house felt comfy and was well stocked with toilet paper, paper towelling, tissue, garbage bags, pots and pans, cutlery, etc. The beds were quite comfortable and although there is no air conditioning the breeze off the water was all we needed to cool the bedrooms at night. Although the house is on a well there was plenty hot water and the water pressure was really good. It felt homelike and it doesn’t get better than that! There is no cable tv, but I believe you can hook up a device to it to watch movies or play games. There is a pretty serious Scrabble game on the coffee table. Baddeck is only 12-14 minutes away by car.

We had a fantastic stay! The space was beautifully decorated and spotless. You guys went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. The location was perfect for exploring and for our morning walks. We'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends. The home is perfect for a large family vacation. Thanks Carole and Calvin for this wonderful experience.

We so much appreciated the stay. The driveway in indeed was steep, but we had no problem with our all-wheel drive vehicle, though we had no rain to contend with. The only slight negative might be that the bedroom(s) did not offer much darkness once the day started to get light. But we would happily stay again and again!!
