We liked Charlie’s spot so much we came back again this year! Family loves the space, outdoor water sports, and crabbing off the dock (which has been nicely upgraded). I recommend paddling out to the recommended sandbars. Great views, peaceful, and a nice mix of outdoor activity without having to drive anywhere. Highly recommended and we’ll likely be back.

What an amazing place! The photos did not do it justice. We had beautiful weather and the back patio/deck was the perfect hangout. We went kayaking, caught a lot of crabs, and enjoyed being by the water. We had the firepit going while one of us was grilling food and the vibes were perfect. The detached game room saw plenty of heated pool games with a great selection of music and sound system. Bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was a joy to cook in. Dawn provided very detailed instructions so that you know all that you need to do. All-in-all, great spot that is a perfect group getaway!

All three Cs. Clean, close to the beach, great communication. All the needs covered. We were able to cook in the kitchen without wanting for anything, all the basics were there. They also had beach toys and a card game we played one night. The fire pit out back was cozy as well. We walked to the beach each day and also to the corner store. Wish the decor was more cozy and less corporate feeling.

Whit’s end was a wonderful vacation for my family. Perfect size place for my family of 6. Very short walk to the beach where we spent most of our time. Felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves which I loved. Nice playground very close by. Farmers market on Saturday which was very popular. Golf course 2 miles away that my husband and boys explored. Also a brewery in the neighborhood that was a nice bonus.

Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful house, especially if you like a lot of room. Great location, close to the beach and restaurants, in a pretty neighborhood of historic homes. So charming. It might make you move to Cape Charles.

My family and I had a great time at Time Out. The location was perfect and we felt so comfortable in Heidi’s home. This was our first time visiting at Cape Charles and we’re already talking about our next trip and booking at Time Out!

We had an amazing stay at Camp Rappahannock to celebrate our mother’s 90th birthday and a family thanksgiving. The house is thoughtfully outfitted and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our feast. The location was just perfect, beautiful setting and so relaxing. We hope to visit again!

We had an amazing time. The house was perfect for us. We really enjoyed the pool and short walk to the beach. We could hear the ocean from the master suite. The upstairs deck had view of the water. Everything about our stay was perfect. The area was nice and was quiet and peaceful. We will definitely go back and stay longer next year. Thank you!!!

Nancy was super kind and friendly during our stay! She gave a great seafood restaurant recommendation that was both delicious, affordable, and right down the road. The cottage is quaint and a charming place to stay for a young couple. We had plenty of space, and the cottage was accurately represented by the photos available. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

The house was super clean when we got there, the temperature of the house was great the entire stay. The pool was certainly clean, but since we went early, June the water was a little bit cold, but it felt really nice and refreshing honestly. There were three beach chairs and a wagon there that were helpful for traveling to the beach. There were available cups plate, utensils, and all the necessities that you would need, they even had shampoo and conditioner bottles there for us. We weren’t aware that there was a code to get into the house so instructions for check-in were a little bit unclear, but all I had to do is message and they responded. Overall, I would recommend staying here because even though the area surrounding isn’t the nicest, I felt safe the entire time at that house!

Just spent Thanksgiving weekend at the Bugaboo. What a delightful house. I arrived late Wednesday night and quickly discovered there was no running water. With Thanksgiving being the next day, I assumed nothing could be done until Friday. However, much to my surprise, Rita and Elaine were right on it, knocking on the door early Thursday morning to let me know that water would be restored within hours. And it was! I was so impressed with the quick response and handling of the situation. Before checking out on Sunday, Elaine again visited and told me I didn’t have to rush to be out of the house at checkout time because no one was coming in that day. Again, pleasantly surprised and appreciative. The icing on the cake was that the host reimbursed me for one night’s stay because of the water situation even though I didn’t ask for it or expect it. I definitely plan to rent Bugaboo again. It’s clean, has nice furniture, a most comfortable bed, a great kitchen and a great location!

We had a really nice stay at the Rose Retreat! The home is wonderfully appointed with nice furnishings. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen with upscale drink and dinnerware. The hand written welcome note, bottle of wine and snacks were so thoughtful - thank you! A perfect location from which to enjoy Irvington and the surrounding towns. We hope to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the pool!

The house is beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet. The neighbors are very friendly. Cupboards were stocked. The view of the river is gorgeous. Brian responded quickly to any questions we had. Check in and out was very easy. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again.

Absolutely cutest rv and unique setting ! We had a blast. We went to the Tiki bar, great dog park in Kilmarnock and many walks along the shore. We even saw a bald eagle fly over us while we were drinking our morning coffee! Everyone we met human and dog was super friendly! That made the trip extra special. Morgan is friendly and a great communicator. Her rv was spotless! Hope to get back to stay another time. Take care Morgan! You have a gem! 💎 ✨ Keep shining! ✨

We had a fabulous stay! The house is gorgeous, very cozy, in a prime location, and with absolutely everything you need for a great beach vacation. We thought the house decor makes this house standout, it is delightful, comfortable and very well kept. We very much appreciated all the extras included, like bikes, kayaks, beach chairs, etc. it makes everything so easy and smooth. The backyard was perfect, all fenced in so great for guests with dogs and little kids, and the grounds are very well kept, The host has clearly thought of every detail to make the stay special and very enjoyable! - Christina has left leaflets/maps and other tips about what to do in town, as well as board games and children’s books that made us feel like home! It is a gem of a house in a beautiful beach town! We will be back!

Such a great location - just a short walk from the beach. Front porch is a great place in the mornings and evenings. The dining room and living room fit our group well and we squeezed in the bedrooms (4 couples + 6 kids all 3 and under) but it was perfect since we spent most time outside anyways! Adam was super helpful and quick to respond when we needed a few items. Would definitely visit again!

Had a wonderful anniversary stay here with my husband and we would definitely stay here again! The house was very clean which we appreciate greatly and everything was just as we needed it.

This place was as described. Very peaceful get away for my family and totally worth the price we paid. Teresa was quick to respond and recommended some place to eat. We will be back to experience the fall weather.

We traveled to Cape Charles with our toddler and two golden retrievers, and Erika's home couldn't have been more perfect for us! She is a host who goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and is a great communicator. The house had so many wonderful intentional touches—a snack when we arrived, beach chairs and an umbrella, a beach wagon, and the most comfortable beds and pillows! The home is exactly as pictured, and so close to the main street that you can walk to for restaurants and shops. Definitely walk to the bakery nearby. We loved the fenced-in backyard and would absolutely stay here again. I highly recommend this home!

We had a fantastic stay at this charming cottage on a private beach! The peaceful setting and direct access to the water made for a truly relaxing getaway. We especially loved the Adirondack chairs and firepit overlooking the Chesapeake Bay—perfect for amazing views and cozy evenings. The master bedroom and living spaces offered beautiful water views that made every moment feel serene and special. The owner was incredibly accommodating with check-in and shared thoughtful, personal tips that made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind by the bay!

There is no better place for a relaxing time away with family (including dogs!). The hosts have taken such care to ensure that every need is taken care of and even added little touches to make the experience extra special. We had originally planned to explore more of the eastern shore, but we could barely get ourselves to leave the awesome property. Nothing prepared me to see such a great sunset on the western horizon from the east coast! What a delight! Most of all, and most importantly for us, the home was truly dog inclusive. We brought our two large dogs with us and the hosts had prepared for it all - covers on furniture, dog bowls at the ready, even dog towels and shampoo! We had an absolute blast at the little beach area and on the dock, but definitely do watch out and follow the host’s instructions to stay safe from the sharp rocks and steep dock stairs. The home is easy to care for with no unreasonable expectations from the host (like in some airbnbs). Check in and relax!
