We had a wonderful stay with Marelize and Dawie! The hosts were friendly and very helpful. The unit was perfect, spacious and the fireplace was a big bonus for us. The location is absolutely perfect and ideal for anyone wanting to visit Franschhoek and all the surrounding wine farms. 100% would recommend!

Given our reason for staying wasn't under the best of circumstances, Francy's location was ideal for our needs. It’s in a beautiful location, is peaceful, & Francy was an impeccable host. Really hope we can stay here again in the future.

The best of both worlds being able to enjoy a peaceful farm stay with beautiful scenery but still be within walking distance of the town. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back!

Had a wonderful stay! Was very peaceful and we could totally relax. Eveything was clean and we really appreciated the extra touches such as complimentary champagne! The kol-kol was the highlight!

Karin and Frikkie were welcoming hosts, and the cottage is on a beautiful working farm with views across the fields. Good for anyone wanting an uncomplicated and peaceful farm-style break.

Beautiful little spot near Tulbagh and Ceres. The interior - furniture, decor, finishing touches all carefully curated. It snowed the weekend I was there, heaters and indoor braai made it cosy. Thank you, Marie!

We spent 2 nights at the cottage for the second time, our last visit was in 2018. The house architecture and design has stood the test of time with multiple amazing entertainment areas, views for days and inside outside feel. The kitchen is very well equip, sparkly clean and there are lots of comfy couches to chill on. The addition of the new fire and braai set up is also dreamy. Wonderful host who accommodated a late checkout. Unfortunately new neighbours have built right next door to this house and allowed their dogs to bark all day into the night which took away from what was always a peaceful location. There was also DIY/Building noise in the street for most of the time (even on public holidays) and lots more aggressive barky dogs on our walks. All in all a good weekend - hopefully the noise issues can be addresses with the neighbours soon.

We had a lovely time at Lola's place. We thoroughly enjoyed the private wine pairing as well as the hot tub. Lola is an excellent host that goes out of her way to accommodate al your needs.

Really great place! One of few places with a hot-tub under roof with the “braai” right next to it. The house was cozy and practical. Making for a very pleasant stay. Perfect for winter and summer!

We had the best time at Natasha's cottage! We felt right at home with the warm welcome and special details. The farm is beautiful and the cottage completely private with amazing views. There was close attention to detail that you could feel in every part of the cottage. You also cannot ask for a better location - it is close the best wine farms and very accessible. We will definitely be back!!!

Absolute perfection for our weekend getaway! This cottage is the ideal size, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully & tastefully furnished with every amenity you could need. We absolutely loved cozying up by the fire. The beautiful surroundings and views are incredible, and Riebeek-Kasteel itself is an awesome town. Couldn't recommend it more highly for a couple - thanks for a wonderful stay, MG and I loved it!

It was a pleasure staying at Riaan’s place over the weekend. The fireplace made it super cosy. They have such a beautiful space with amazing views and is very well located to main roads between Stellenbosch and Cape Town.

My boyfriend and i went here for our anniversary and it exceeded our expectations, the best cabin we have been to yet! Absolutely breathtaking and such a beautiful place to go and relax.

A beautiful place to stay at! Just like the photos and write up. Staff were super friendly when we checked in. Having the sound of a steam running nearby was magical while laying under the tree reading a book or even while nodding off to sleep. Hopefully we will be back soon!

We loved staying at Carin’s place. The Rondawel stole our hearts, and Carin was very helpful in placing us in another cottage when we extended our stay. She gave the best tips and we truly had a blast staying here. The pool was very refreshing and the dogs always welcome you with a cuddle. Also the wine tasting with Johan was much fun. We’d love to come back again!

We had an amazing stay. The house is beautiful with spectacular views of the mountains and vineyard. Owen the manager was extremely helpful and quick to respond whenever we needed anything. We will definitely be back!

Perfect location, close to town but still far away so that you could relax. Farm is beautiful, with an amazing spot to have sundowners while surrounded by the majestic Franschoek mountains. Manager was responsive, super helpful and flexible.

Great accommodation. The place is beautiful. I would stay again anytime. Very responsive host. Walkable to Main Street restaurants and the grocery store.

It was our second time there with friends and was like going back home.

William is a great communicator, we had all the instructions on how to get to Fonteinskloof and who to speak to on arrival. Everything was as advertised. The onsite Manager Michael was super welcoming and helpful, we felt at home very quickly. Michael checked in with us regularly to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The surroundings were beautiful. Zebra, waterbuck, blue wildbeest and Oryx were visible from the accommodation. Two walking trails were clearly marked. The unit was spotless, the beds super comfortable, beautiful bathroom. Braai facilities and wood was available and also a wood fire inside for heat. There is a games room with a pool table, foosball table and TV. There is a beautiful pool with a kids jungle gym and trampoline. 10 minutes from Swellendam. Will definitely be visiting again. It was beautiful and super relaxing.

Amazing! We spent the long weekend at De Goede Hoop celebrating my birthday as well as Father’s Day with my parents, my siblings and nephews. We had everything we needed for a wholesome, restful and fun family getaway. There is so much to do, the weekend flew by- from long walks on the farms and surrounds, plenty of lawn games, board games, a cosy tv room for evening movies in front of the fire. The kitchen was well stocked so we could make all our meals and we arrived to freshly baked bread and fresh eggs, such a treat. The hot tub was also a hit and we sat on the stoep every evening watching the sunset. Will definitely be back!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful – we felt at home right away. Everything was beautifully arranged, spotless, and full of thoughtful details. The view was stunning, and watching the stars at night was truly magical. Breakfast at “The Blue Cow” was delicious and super cosy. Hannette was warm, helpful, and made us feel truly welcome. We’d come back anytime – thank you so much!

This was my second time at Teri’s place, looking forward to many more 😊 Love the cozy, peaceful, artistic interior and the comfy bed. The fireplace is super effective at heating the space. Best olives I’ve met, and Teri is a gem! Bonus that Mud is just up the road with their delicious food. Thanks Teri!
