Cottage holiday rentals in Capitale-Nationale

Our stay at Alex’s place was wonderful. Six adults enjoyed our the absolutely charming house with plenty of privacy. Each couple effectively had a floor to themselves, but there were great spaces to be together as well. We were 15 minutes from old Quebec, 10 minutes from Montmorency. The house was perfect for our group, beautifully old world charming. Parking was easy and Alex’s communication was superb: he was very responsive and clear. I would not hesitate to stay there again. This place was amazing - modern amenities in a historical home. Everything was clean, crisp and cozy! There was a beautiful forest walking trail just minutes from the house which led to a waterfall which was a great way to start the day. Quick ride in to Old Quebec for tours and shopping!

The place was beautiful. Clean, quiet, immersed in nature. We met had the pleasure of meeting Richard by the river while on a hike around the grounds.

Sublime location for a lot of tranquility, amazing view of the lake. We even had the chance to observe deer very ready due to the surrounding calm. Great!

Brilliant stay as we enjoyed four nights in this little slice of heaven, just 25 mins from Quebec City. It rained the entire time - and we didn’t mind one bit. Exactly as described, we had no problem putting up our feet and soaking in the surroundings. Best soft serve we’ve ever had at the nearby Chocolaterie de l'Île d'Orléans (two min drive?). Also recommending walking along the beach areas when the tide goes out. A full drive of the island is mandatory imo and we also enjoyed a hearty lunch at Le Moulin de St-Laurent. Sebastien was the consummate host. Five stars all around.

This chalet is ideally located in front of the river, with a very low traffic street at the front of the property. We loved watching the changes in the scenery over the weather and going for a walk on the beach. The cottage is very spacious, tastefully decorated and well-equipped.

Very nice house. There is only one bedroom with a door and privacy. But really perfect for a family. Very satisfied, thank you for having us!

I don’t know how to convey our delight and satisfaction with Bernard and Francine as our hosts. They met us at check in and spent a great deal of time going over everything and recommending sights, experiences and eating establishments. We felt so at home in their beautiful home and so appreciated their amazing hospitality. Thank you so very much. We will be back again and again!!!

Lovely stay, very clean . We felt right at home and there were gorgeous views! It was slightly smaller than we expected but still a large space. Would book again!

This was my second stay at La Capitainerie, and it was just as pleasant and peaceful to be there! Vincent and Marie-Hélène are proactive and communicate all the necessary information before and during the stay. Their home not only offers a terrace with a magnificent view of the sunsets over the St. Lawrence River, but also everything you need to cook meals and entertain. They have a large collection of board games, books, CDs and DVDs. Perfect for rainy days!

We loved our stay with the family. The place was clean and welcoming. We had everything we had to have fun. We enjoyed the edge of the water and outdoor games. I would recommend this cottage if you are looking for tranquility and a warm place for your whole family (young and old).

Everything was perfect at Chalet le Shack! The space was exactly what we needed, the kitchen is well equipped, and very nice bathrooms with lots of towels! The location cannot be beat if you’re coming to cross country ski. Quick access to groceries and restaurants. We hope to come back again next winter!
